Thank you for all the examples on what you are using the comment for! Very useful info for me.

Anyone else who is using the comments in the wishlist?

I'm tweaking the new feature so you will be able to keep using it for whatever was posted here.

Question time: do any of you use the comments field in your wishlist for anything meaningful?

Yes put in a A,B,C Priority (A buy as soon as possible, B want/need but not urgent, C Buy when really Cheap (Fastgrab))

I alos note which future project i want to have it for if i plan to use it for something specific

Thank you, that's perfect. That's exactly the use I was hoping for.

Hmm, okay... there actually is a way to do that. The product page is easy. I'll see what I can come up with for the thumbnail listings. That space is small and is getting a little crowded. :)))

Nope, I don't use the comments field in my wishlist for anything.

  • barbultbarbult Posts: 24,872

I've never used the comments field, either. I thought I heard something about the comments getting wiped out some way (which I can't remember how).

I used to use the comment fields to put the name of the PA, so I could track them better when they were on sale. Your addon filled that need, so I don't use the comment field anymore.

Just a quick note.  I'm not seeing the new checkboxes - show only items I own and show only wishlist items - when I do a search for something.  Not a big deal, but I'm curious as to whether these could be available in an upcoming version with searches, or if this isn't possible.

I'll be able to do SOMETHING with this. However, the search function of the shop, in general, is either broken, or I have no idea what it's supposed to do in the first place. laugh

Help me out a little here, so I can figure it out. I do a search for, say "pro bundle". A bunch of stuff show up in different categories. I choose a category, say "3D Models and Assets", and see that there are 17 items showing up in the carousel, and there's a "Show all (17)" button on the right. I'm expecting 17 items to show in the detail area when I click this button, but instead, I get a list of 274 items. "Places and things" with the "Show all (21)" button shows 26 items. "Resources and addons" with the "Show all (22)" button shows 31 items. "Bundles" with the "Show all (100)" button shows 160 items.

I can add the filters to the full list, but at this point I do not really see what the category listings show.

Almost half the items in my wishlist disappeared, probably a site bug.

Yeah. Something's busted. I just loaded today's sale page in a browser I don't usually use... and the page is completely empty: https://www.daz3d.com/featured-daz-originals-from-2013-2014 Says: "There are no products matching the selection."

    From another thread:

I do like the idea of a "restore messed up wishlist" feature!

The wishlist of everyone who syncs it with the notification server is being backed up from today. I will keep the backups for 30 days, that should give enough time for everyone to notice when their wishlist was damaged.

Now it's time to create the feature that actually restores the backup... ;)

I'm doing all sorts of wishlist related things. Adding labels; filtering items by labels; showing labels on product page; showing labels on category page; restoring wishlist.

    Any requests? :)

"Hide Iray Only" would be cool to hide products that are made only for Iray.

Unfortunately there's no sure way to tell from the product info if a product is Iray only, or not. Especially, considering that most iray-only products work quite well in other render-engines, too. Some not so well, so I understand why you would want to filter based on this.

    No problem!

I haven't found that to be the case for rendering Iray materials in 3Delight.

Hey Ati!  Is the %off sort option on the product listing pages one of yours?  I only noticed that one fairly recently, although it may have been there all along...

If it is (or even if not), might it be possible to get that sort option to work when searching for items in one of your future updates?

    Yep, that's this addon.

I recently added that to the search page as well, along with the wishlistify and owned checkboxes. Although the search page itself is not working as it should, so I can only work with what I have there. (This addition is not released yet.)

Overdrawn wants to roll out a small update before the big wishlist additions; I may put the search page extras in that. I'll push it into the repo if I don't forget... :)

    Not seeing any JS errors.

Weird. I mean that's good, you shouldn't see any, but then this feature should work...

Anyone else having this same issue that the total spent is not showing, but the total values are?

Does it work for you in, say Chrome? (It's just a quick test to see if it's the browser, or maybe something else on your computer blocking this feature.)

We'll switch to PMs for the next debugging step after this.

Don't have Chrome on this computer, just FF (and IE of course).

I'm not much of a FireFox user myself, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't list all network traffic in its debugger. So that won't help, unfortunately. I'm running out of ideas. :( Are you using an extension that blocks Ajax calls? But that would break a lot more features, not just this one.

I don't think so -- I have flash cookies blocked, and NoScript blocks facebook and googleadservices.

I'm officially out of ideas. What I wanted to check with you in PM is the network traffic, but I can't seem to get the full traffic to show up in the FF debugger.

Update on this:  using Waterfox 53.0.3, just updated to Daz Deals 2.10, I now see full price and current price, but still don't see total spent.

    Ati,

    Thanks for the quick answer.

I know you get this a lot, but this is simply an amazing add on to the Daz shop pages for my browser..  I've been using it a LOT in the last month.   I also like how seamless it is.  It's hard to tell where the Daz webpage stuff ends and your plugin additions begin, which is a testament to your programming skills!

Thanks again for all the hard work!!!

    yes

"Hide pc+ only" So I could look through the Low to High DOs without having to scan through all the PC+ items too? Please. smiley

Use the  PlatClub Coupon  filter ...it is above the Artist / Genre / Figure dropdown boxes.

When there are more than 9 gallery images for a store item, is there a way to see the rest of them? I seem to only be able to see the 9 thumbnails.

It only lists the top 9.

Is a full list something you would like to see, even if there are hundreds of images?

I think so. Does that seem silly? Maybe there could be a second link to see all linked gallery images, so the default behavior is like you have it now. The second link could open on a separate page, so it doesn't mess up the store page too much, if you can do that. I wouldn't call this a high priority request, though. It just surprised me that it told me how many there were, but I couldn't find the rest of them.

It can be done. It probably won't be included in the next minor release, although it depends on when @Overdrawn plans to send that to the browser stores. If he doesn't hurry, I might add this, too, in the next few days. laugh If the next release comes out sooner, then this could be in the one after that.

For searching the store, or even the wishlist, it would be very useful to have more sub-genres. There are close to 5,000 items in the Fantasy genre in the Daz store. Adding sub-genres like Dark Fantasy, Medieval Fantasy, etc. would help narrow the search to a specific area of interest. There are genres like Horror, Steampunk, and Gothic that filter the search results, which is nice.

It would also be helpful to be able to filter for lights, shaders etc.

You'll be able to add labels (categories) to your wishlisted items, and filter to only show those on the wishlist page. This is mostly done, although I keep adding new features to it... :)
