    1) How do I stop the Gallery notifications? I did all the checks in the menu, but I still get them

It's the one that shows artwork from the gallery and lists the products......

    AND.....

Is there a way to get the browser add-on to list those TOP 21 ITEMS...

I'd love to have that list in a browser and not just in the email.

I often have the same issue as the person above, there is one price in the email, and a totally different price online. I AM a PC+ member, and have been for a while. I check to see if you must have "X" in the cart for it to apply, and still not. This happens most often when I get a notification that something that I set a limit on has gone below the limit (Love that feature!), I had 10 come up today, as they are in ShoxDesigns's catalog, which is on sale, but my email notice and the online price were basically doubled. Don't know what's causing that?

The prices in the email are the prices at the time of sending the email. Sometimes that is only for a few minutes. In this particular case, those prices were in effect for a few hours. Then they were increased to the price you are seeing now. It's best to hurry when you see something really good in the notifications.

A lot of the shox items initially went up at 86% off, then about an hour later went back up to where they were supposed to be

Options page -> Gallery notifications -> Off (Or "Selected" if you still want it for some selected items.)

(If you don't have the automatic wishlist sync turned on, then you need to sync the wishlist manually for this change to take effect.)

Let's try to keep everything in the original thread because I can't promise I'll notice issues posted in new threads. https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/106296/announcing-daz-deals-browser-add-on/p1

I will consider this a feature request. In the meantime, to turn it off, go to the Options page -> Email notifications -> Best prices in... and uncheck all values there. (Remember to save the changed options.) This makes sure you don't re-subscribe. When this is done, click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. Don't leave out unchecking the checkboxes on the Options page because then you'll be re-subscribed.

If you want to get these particular notifications again, when they also show NON-PC+ prices, then keep your eyes on the original thread of the addon: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/106296/announcing-daz-deals-browser-add-on/p1

PS: You can get the PC+ sub with a discount now. :)

Sorry - on reflection I should have added the comment to this thread.

I'm not a great believer in PC+ even though I do take out membership occasionally (usually when there is a decent discount on the 3 Month option).

I might add the NON-PC+ prices to these particular notifications later today. It's a hectic Sunday, so no promises that it really will be today. :)

I probably added this... ;) I don't have a sure way of testing, so just let me know if it works.

Thanks @Ati ... I'll switch it on again and keep an eye on the prices.

I just went to switch it on again and noticed that all my previous options had been cleared so I had to set them up again. Does this happen when you unsubscribe from an email - as I did with the DAZ Prices email? Not that it is a big deal to switch them on again - just out of interest.

Yeah, I checked them out a mere 2 hours later. Ah, well. Back on the list they went.

    Thanks.

Yesterday, I followed your advice from a few posts back and cleared the Best Prices check box in the email options. Then, per your advice, I clicked on unsubscribe at the bottom of the DAZ Prices email in my inbox. When I came to switch it back on again after your fix today, I found that all the check-boxes had been somehow returned to default or off (whatever the default is). That wasn't how I had them set up before - it is as though the unsubscribe cleared my settings. I also had to enter my email address and passcode again before I could add my preferences as they had been previously.

The unsubscribe link does not change the options you set in the browser. It can't. That's why it's a two-step process: you also need to clear those settings in the browser, so you are not put back on the list right after you unsubscribe.

    Not on mine.

    I've just checked again.

  • My Daz-Deals, appears to be broke. Firefox, latest edition. None of the normal things show up, but the 2 scripts from Ati's page are there and work. When I try to got to the daz-deals thing it doesn't show email, or anything. started last night. So, I removed it, and then reinstalled it. Still don't have email or other options. Is it Firefox? I hope I didn't just lose the 1000+ of items that I had marked for notice when the price dropped....

You didn't lose them, they are not stored in the addon.

As for everything just being zeroed out... Marble just said the same thing, and I believe he's using firefox, too. Any other firefox users notice this? Was there a recent firefox update?

Put the same email+passcode back as before. The individual pricedrop notifications will still be there, don't worry.

Actually I was using Chrome at the time - I have both Chrome and Firefox.

I re-entered all of my preferences and it seems to have stuck for now.

  • Thanks! Oddly, On my laptop, everything is fine. I just realized that the other computer is actually Water Fox, and it is still broke. But, I do see that it's all working on Firefox (53.0.3), Which hasn't been updated. But I think that the Waterfox has been (54).

By the way, @Ati ... finally realised what was happening with those missing chek boxes on the store page (Only Show Owned, etc.). You remember I installed TamperMonkey as a workaround? Well, after you explained about requiring items in my Wishlist for PC+ recognition and I added some items into my wishlist - I decided to try the page without TamperMonkey and, yes, the checkboxes are there now. Indeed, If I have items in my wishlist AND TamperMonkey on, I get duplicate checkboxes for wishlist items.

    Hope that helps.

Oh, that's great news. Okay, you can remove TamperMonkey, then, if you keep at least one item in your wishlist -- at least for now.

And we finally know what's causing those checkboxes to be gone: no items in the wishlist. I'll write a patch for that for the future. It certainly helps, I honestly did not even think of that scenario.

I hate to be "that guy" yet again but the prices in the latest Top 21 Discounted email are wrong again. Just when I thought we had everything hunky-dory, the prices for poses are showing in the email at 80% discount and in the store at 40%.

This is again a PC glitch because I am not in the PC+ but the email specifically states that (quote):

these are the top21 most discounted items at the moment (excluding PC+, free, owned and hidden items):

So, if PC+ items are excluded, why are we seeing only PC+ prices?

I hate to be "that guy" yet again but the prices in the latest Top 21 Discounted email are wrong again. Just when I thought we had everything hunky-dory, the prices for poses are showing in the email at 80% discount and in the store at 40%.

This is again a PC glitch because I am not in the PC+ but the email specifically states that (quote):

these are the top21 most discounted items at the moment (excluding PC+, free, owned and hidden items):

So, if PC+ items are excluded, why are we seeing only PC+ prices?

    It excludes PC+ items.

It's okay that you are "that guy" -- in fact I'm quite happy that you are. We'll finally get the non-PC+ prices in there, too. :) However, I would like to ask you to remind me about this early next week. I won't be able to do anything with it until then.

Ah - there's a difference between PC+ items and items at PC+ prices? Right.

Yep, enjoy your weekend Ati. :)

The PC+ items are the ones that are always heavily discounted for PC+ members. 70-80-90%, some even more, all the time. The top21 list does not include these items, since they would always be the ones at the top of the list. Wouldn't make sense.

Daz Original items are normal items, where PC+ members get an extra 30% off, on top of everything else. These are included in the email (if they happen to be in the top21). At times, there are other discounts for PC+ members as well, extra discounts etc, that make normal items even cheaper.

I hope this explains the difference between PC+ items and PC+ prices on "normal" items. I had a rough day, so I may not be in my best form to explain things today. :)))

Don't worry, Ati, I was being a little facetious. Yes I do understand - I just thought it was an amusing distinction.

Okay, I set up a separate "top21 most discounted items of the day" notification for non-PC+ members. This not only has the prices shown as non-PC+ prices, but it should also create the list based on the non-PC+ prices. (Meaning: it may contain totally different items than the PC+ version of the same list.) The first test run of this will be tomorrow. Let me know if it works, if it doesn't work, or if anything is messed up with it.

Anywhere else that we don't have non-PC+ prices? :)

The Plat Club Coupon link in the wishlist is actually incorrect. It filters out new items, when in fact you can use a Plat Club Coupon for new items. Its only the PA Coupon that can't be used on new items.

I like the features that add the PC+ Coupon link.  it makes things so much easier to see what's in my wishlist or a product catalog that I can use the coupon against.  I like the bundle feature that shows what products in the bundle I already own.  My question...do you have add-ons for the Edge browser?  Do you plan to?  I kind of like it.  Some things I do seem to work better in Edge.  There are a few things that don't seem to work.  Just wondering.

    Dana
