  • My firefox/Waterfox browsers still have issues with Daz Deals addon. You can see, that I have parts of things, but not all the goodies. Any suggestions? This is all freshly installed last week.

If those features are turned on (after a fresh install, it's best to turn them off and on again), do you have anything in your wishlist? The last time the "wishlist only" and "owned only" checkbox were missing was due to the wishlist being completely empty.

  • Okay, I'll turn everything off, and yes, I have over 100 items in my wishlist.

  • Okay, unchecked everything, shut down browser. Opened browser, rechecked the stuff I wanted. Shut down browser, opened browser again, still nope. I do have TamperMonkey installed for two items, but they used to work before with the regular Daz-Deals options. I'm also missing the %off in the dropdown, so, somethings there (Things that worked in the past), but none of the new things that were recently added to the mozilla version. :(

The release dates seem to have gone missing, both from the individual product pages and from the Shop thumbnail page.  Updated from 2.1.0 to 2.1.1, still missing.  I'm using Waterfox 54.0.0.1

The release dates are not added by the addon, they are the "release date for new items" script from here: https://civilizationhunt.com/ds/

    I didn't. :) That's @Overdrawn 's cup of tea, he's the addon expert, so that's something that he'll respond to.

When did these go missing? Was there an update to the browser? (I'm off for the weekend. I'll be checking the forums every now and then, but I'll probably only respond next week. I will probably download this Waterfox browser as well just to see what it is, and how it works.)

Hmm, yeah, a bunch of your scripts seem to be missing, reinstalling them.

It's a 64-bit port based on Firefox, I switched when Mozilla announced that starting with 57 Firefox wouldn't support the older plugin architecture.

  • Yeah, I've been using Waterfox for a little while, and it was working fine with the Daz-Deals. But, it uses a lot of FireFox stuff. When I downloaded the 54. version is when things all seemed to go away.

It sorry of looks like the extension doesn't know you're logged in... Maybe try logging into Daz and back out or holding "shift" while reloading the page. Certainly odd...

It DOES use a lot of FireFox stuff. In fact, it's scary that it has access to pretty much everything from FireFox, including saved passwords and locally saved addon data.

Other than scaring me, though, it seems to work fine here. So make sure you are logged in, and that you have items in your wishlist. If it's a new install, make sure to sync your wishlist with the notification server.

Since it's using the FireFox addon, I would suggest you uninstall the addon from WaterFox, and reinstall it again in WaterFox. (I haven't done this, and I'll be honest, I have zero experience with WaterFox. It still scares me that it has access to all my sensitive data from FireFox, though.)

I've done all that. Did what Overdrawn said. Still no love. I originally didn't even have Firefox installed on this computer, I went straight to Waterfox.I tried rolling back to 53 (Uninstalled 54, install 53) and nothing there, either. All the scripts of your from TamperMonkey work fine, though.... It just goes with the rest of my life, right now. I still get the emails fine....

I want to start finishing up some of the new features tomorrow, I'll take a closer look at the code again to see what might be causing this.

Don't worry/hurry, I'm about to be without internet within 2 weeks, so, no rush. Especially since I'm the only one who has this issue, and I only have the issue on one computer.

Do the checkboxes appear on the page if you wait a little? Say, 20 seconds after page load?

Is there any chance of adding a bulk 'Move to Wishlist' and 'Remove Item' capability?

I like to add many items to my cart and then thin it down until I get down to my budget. Doing this one item at a time is excrutiatingly slow and generally a pain in the butt.

I have made a somewhat crude mockup of what I'm thiking about in the attached JPG.

Each item in the cart gets a checkbox to select / deselect it for the bulk action. Somewhere on the page there would be a dropdown list with options to 'Move selected items to Wishlist' and 'Remove selected items' and an action button. For simplicity's sake I put this under the big green 'Proceed to checkout' but it would possibly be more appropriate elsewhere on the form (and most certainly with better styling to match the rest of the look & feel).

I appreciate this may be more of a general cart issue and could depend on finding a technique to trigger multiple move/remove actions which are currently handled one at a time per cart refresh using:

    https://www.daz3d.com/wishlist/index/fromcart/item/...
    and
    https://www.daz3d.com/checkout/cart/delete/id/...
    respectively

-- After tryied the "COMMENT" feature on Wishlist items, that's nice! BUT... There is some feedback:

The comment is a standard feature of the Daz site, we have nothing to do with that.

What I referred to above is that the comment feature (that is already available) will be used for labelling the products (which will be a new, add-on feature).

In tests, this feature already works pretty well. I need to write a short how-to for the "restore wishlist" feature (which I had the lucky (?) opportunity to try in real-life conditions), and we'll soon be good to go.

Oh.. Sorry I didn't know that DAZ will continue to working itself to add new features..
So it's great from them but not so ergonomic :o

Well, if it was you, I'm pretty sure the ergonomy will be fixed in no time, but they usually (DAZ) tale more time to fix the issue :/

Anyway, great idea to re-call the "comment" form into labelling products, thanks for all your great works, and sorry for pointing something you're not responsible !

EDIT: is it possible to have multi-filters activated in same time like: "Show me %off IN Genesis 3's Outfits OR Genesis 7's Outfits ?

I like the features that add the PC+ Coupon link.  it makes things so much easier to see what's in my wishlist or a product catalog that I can use the coupon against.  I like the bundle feature that shows what products in the bundle I already own.  My question...do you have add-ons for the Edge browser?  Do you plan to?  I kind of like it.  Some things I do seem to work better in Edge.  There are a few things that don't seem to work.  Just wondering.

Sorry for the slow reply, Dana! I need to track this thread more closely! Life's also been unexpectedly crazy this summer...

I sent you a reply to your PM, but wanted to let others know about the status with Edge.

I'd explored it earlier this year, but at the time it was cost prohibitive--you have to pay to publish, and the pricing is based on becoming a Microsoft (wide) developer...not just pushing smaller browser extension things. Once you're in that ecosystem, you can publish to the Windows Store (also where they ship the extensions) and through their other channels...so the cost(s) make sense when you take it altogether...just more than free (Firefox) or $5 (Chrome).

Anyhow, the other limiter was early differences between the browsers. Those have gotten better with this latest Edge, so there's hope it'll be a less time consuming code juggle. :) I'm also hopeful they've improved their fee structure. ;) We'll see.

Know that I am looking into it, but can't (yet) promise anything as I'm new to their editorial process, etc. I am now setup to use all the lastest and greatest stuff they offer for Edge extensions, though, and will get more progress updates out...as I progress. ;)

Sorry again for the delayed response!

It's a single-select dropdown, but you could add an "outfit" label, and use the existing figure selection to show both Gen 3 and Gen 7 (and not any other) items. And of course, they can be ordered by % off.

Yep! Something like this has been swirling in my brain for some time. ^_^ I'm hoping to build a general "cart manager" thing that does some of this along with keeping cart lists on hand, so you can swap out different groupings or quickly re-add items you've removed while you test out discounts.

One way to ease your pain in the short-term is to press Ctrl (or Cmd on Mac) when you click the "Move to wishlist" or "Remove item" links. They'll open new tabs in the "background" (meaning your focus will stay on your current tab). That new tab will take that action and load the updated shopping cart page--which will be "correct" at the time it finishes loading. If you do this loads of this (as I do ;-P), you can let the background tabs all finish doing what they're doing, then refresh your current shopping cart tab to see the result. I've gotten entirely too good at this sort of multi-tasking... :-P However, I still think having easier, faster, simpler cart managing would be a huge boon to our collective brain space...which we'd rather be using to make art!! (or that's the theory ;) ).

Thanks for sharing the idea and roughing up a draft!

    Cheers!

As I said in my reply, don't go spending money on it because I don't know how many are actually using Edge and it might not be worth it for you.  That choice is, ultimately, yours to make.  But don't spend a lot of money for me.  I can get along using Chrome when I want to use the add-on.  If it doesn't cost you anything, or very little like Chrome, then that wouldn't make me feel too bad.  You make things easier for us...I don't want to make things harder on you...especially financially!

Thank you for your response and for looking into it!

Thanks for the tip on using Ctrl/Cmd + Click. That will be a tremendous help until, hopefully, the additional functionality can be added to the plugin.

Thanks! Oddly, On my laptop, everything is fine. I just realized that the other computer is actually Water Fox, and it is still broke. But, I do see that it's all working on Firefox (53.0.3), Which hasn't been updated. But I think that the Waterfox has been (54).

I'm thinking that these issues may be due to some bugs effecting new installations in newer browsers. I've (obviously) been using the extension for some time and upgrading my browser's regularly with now issue. However, I recently installed the extension in the latest browsers on a fresh install and some things failed to initialize properly... I'm already working to narrow that situation down. Hopefully, this is the same as that. :)
