Hi,
The "View These Artists Together" filter is missing, maybe because the first thumbnail is "2017 Dazo Items"
The link for the forum reference for Muelsfell Modular Path Set is broken. I'm guessing it is due to the comma in the forum thread title "Muelsfell Modular Path Set, tree closeups wanted". Thank you again for this very helpful feature!
It's something else, but it does indeed need some finetuning. Thank you for the report, I'll let you know when it's all corrected.
Still no news on a MS Edge version?
Dana
Issue identified (Daz changed the forum template a bit a few days ago) and we are now working with the new template. All threads that did not have the correct URLs from the past three days, now have them.
Thank you!
Feature requests:
Hey ATI/Overdrawn, since you have up to a year of historical prices on everything, have you ever thought about generating a daily list of things that are at their lowest price in a year? It would probably only be a handful of items on a given day, but I think people would be interested in knowing "This item is at (or near) it's lowest price in the past year".
Would it be possible to exclude an artist from a search result? I've tried to do it and I haven't been able to, I was just wondering if you had any ideas. OR maybe if there was a "Hide All These Items" button on the search results page. Nothing personal against any PA, but when I search by lowest price and the first dozen pages or so are mostly RDNA products (which I'm not really interested in) it slows down my search.
Aside from those, I think putting a release date on the store page is a common request and I agree. Doesn't really help me personally, I can usually look at the SKU and guesstimate how old a product is, but having a date is cool.
If I could deal with those issues, I'd probably spend less time searching and more time buying, which I'm sure Daz would like. Thanks for reading.
Go to the Addon options page, and sign up for the "Best prices in ... 1 year" emails. Other timeframes are also available.
https://civilizationhunt.com/ds/ and "Release date for new items" script. The "new" in the script name means that in the category pages, only new items will display the release dates, but ALL items will show their release dates on the product pages. (Where available. Real-time lookup from Daz readmes.)
Wow, thanks for the fast reply. I didn't know your email list already included that (it wasn't on the main options page, so I assumed you didn't have it).
I think I made some progress on filtering PAs from search results. I think it involves Javascrip, which I don't know. I was looking at a link you posted a while back to help people filter by SKU
javascript:(function(){var%20a=[];daz.catalog.productList.forEach(function(i,x){if(i<16000){a.push(i);}});daz.catalog.productList=a;daz.catalog.applyFilters(true);})();
I'm guessing that if daz.catalog.productList includes a vendor ID, then it's possible to filter by that, but I only took one semester of basic internet communications and we didn't even touch JS. That's alright. I got two of the things I was hoping for. Thanks again.
Lately the "New DAZ Promo" email that I receive daily has the wrong new sale image. It links to the correct sale page, as far as I can tell, but the image in the email is always yesterday's sale. Today's email shows the Down and Gritty image.
I can confirm this. Lately I noticed that sometimes the sales banner is changed, then changed back to the old one, then changed once again. :-/ This is most likely caused by the cloudflare caching servery being out of sync. A fix will most take a few days to come up with.
I've seen it change and change back and change again on the web page, too, if I'm online right around Daz midnight. The daily email I get from Daz to announce the sale always arrives hours after your email. I wonder if they do that to let things settle.
What happens technically is I check for a change. If there is one, I grab the whole page and create the mail that gets sent out. Between the two, the promos can change back, and this causes the previous banner to be sent out instead of the new one. There is an obvious and quite easy fix to this by doing it all in one step--which is a little extra data every time when there is no change, thus I tried to avoid doing this in the past. But this phenomenon is getting more and more common, so this change needs to be done. I just need to find the time to implement it.
I ran in to another problem. The link to "Hide PC+ Items" on the main sotre page displays the filter in the address bar, but it doesn't work, unless I refresh the browser tab. I am using Chrome Version 69.0.3497.100 (Official Build) (64-bit).
I just wanted to come back and say THANKS for keeping this extension going, and DOUBLE THANKS for implementing my suggestion!
I saw it appear in the emails and did a little "woo-hoo!"
Also, I love love LOVE the new custom wishlist feature! I went through and tagged everything in my wishlist with #gen8, #gen7, #gen6, etc. So great to be able to take the reins and see just the stuff I'm interested in!
You all rock!!
I updated the new promo algorithm to overcome the caching issues that have appeared recently. (Old banner being sent when a new sale starts.) It's hard to test without the promos actually changing, so... let me know if there are any issues. If there are, then please bear with me as I make any necessary corrections.
Your application is great! Here's something else I think a lot of Daz's customers would appreciate: the ability to visualize our products library the same way it is possible for our wishlist. When I saw the products pictures in your emails and the way your application let us rearrange the display of our wishlist, I thought that it would be possible to develop an application that would let us look at our product's library the same way it is possible for our wishlist. Maybe Daz could pay you to do it or maybe you could sell it as a product :)
@Taoz has something similar. Take a look at his page to see if it's something you had in mind: https://taosoft.eu/software/3dcontent_tools/
Thank you for the information. I didn't know about this product. But what I'm looking for is a way to seach my products by looking at a list of pictures, as it is for the wishlist, and not a list of names that would let me see one product's picture at a time. I can identify products more easily by pictures than by names. And looking at pictures is faster for me than reading the names of each products. I'm a Daz customer since 2008, so looking for a product through all the products I have may be very complicated.
You could go to the Daz store (either the main page here: https://www.daz3d.com/shop/ or one of the categories within this, such as https://www.daz3d.com/places-and-things that you can select from the shop breadcrumb), and then select the "Only show owned" checkbox in the filter (you need the addon for this, this feature is only added by the addon). This will show you the products you own from the given category with their promo images. The only drawback is that it will only show items still in the shop, while the product library shows every product, even those that have been removed from the shop.
WOW ! Very usefull !
I have 2 questions:
Uncheck the filter box for Hide Items I Own.
Sorry, but when I go on a product page like Super Bodysuit for Genesis 3 Female(s) I don't see such a filter box. Plus, even if I uncheck the filter box for Hide Items I Own on the frontpage of the shop, this doesn't let me see the add-ons I own on the product page.
Right. I misunderstood. Sorry.
No. Daz already displays this based on your screen resolution, and uses the available space a lot better than on the wishlist page. By default, the wishlist has some sort of fit according to your resolution, too, but there was so much space there, we added another column. :)
To be more precise: it shows you SOME of the addons. If there are a lot, then not all.
Currently, we do not show all possible addons there, but we do have the data, and showing it in some way is on the todo list.
Great :) If I may add another suggestion, it would be nice too to be able to filter the wishlist by type of products, like props, lights, characters, clothes, etc. or, at least, by categories, like the ones used in the shop (people and wearables, animals and creatures, places and things, animations and poses, etc.).
There's no such list that we can work with. As for the categories that are present in the shop: you can visit the given category in the shop itself, and then click the "Only show WishList" checkbox. That's the closest to it that I can think of right now. That will show you all your wishlisted items from that category only. This works extremely well on a sales page, for example. You can filter the sales page to only show you the items that you are interested in, and not have to browse through dozens of pages.
I thank you :) I didn't realize this was possible. Where can I find easily your affiliate link so I can click on it fast when I make a puchase?
Just following up on the request to add V8 to the store's list of figures. If it isn't doable on your side that's OK, just wondering about it. They have V5, M5, Stephanie 4, Elite (?) versions of M4 and V4. Can't imagine that some of these are popular figures, but what do I know?
