Hello I new in the forum I will like to drop my last render also I want to ask if there is any new versions for Bryce 7? I get disappointed in the way the new hair models from Daz looks in Bryce the lose a lot of the fine detail and just look awaful. Any tips for over come this situation.
Thanks.
Ed
Revolloe - Welcome to the forum, nice surreal render
revolloe - welcome to Bryce and this forum. Bryce 7.1.0.109 is the most recent version. In my opinion Bryce is not very good in rendering skin and hair - though others may disagree - but otherwise it is a very versatile 3D CGI tools and not limited to photo-realism. Your render is excellent, honestly.
@revolloe, welcome to the forum :)
Spring landscape.

Magnificent Spring Landscape Slepalex
Slepalex - I remember this one, a really beautiful landscape.
I thought about wanderlust but I fear this one is a bit too far away. Four terrains, two distant lights, a sphere for the galactic nebula and a spaceship by Angel Estevez. The orange nebula is a cloud in the Simplon HDRI (included with Bryce 7.1).
@revolloe: Welcome to the Bryce forum. As Horo already mentioned Bryce is not very good in rendering skin and hair. I spent quite a bit of time on this topic. It often depends which hair you use. In my opinion the Daz3D's newer hair models often give better result than the old one, but it may differ from hair to hair.
I made a quick (not so quick to be honest, then rendering of hair is very slow) test. In the example I set the specularity of the hair to 60 and used metallicity as well. Its value is 60, too. The lady on the left with the green sweater has set "Cast Shadows", "Receive Shadows" and "Self Shadows". The lady in the middle with the brown sweater has set "Cast Shadows" and "Receive Shadows". And the lady on the right in blue has only set "Cast Shadows". I prefer the hair of the lady in the middle.
An earlier example you can find here https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/4107436/#Comment_4107436
If you have any questions I would be happy to answer it.
Revolloe: Warm welcome to the forum! Indeed, hair often does not work very well (see my render on the page before), but in the hands of someone like Electro-Elvis, with the proper hair and knowledge, it can be quite acceptable, as you can see above. Your set of alien ladies looks very nice to me; great use of colours and shadows.
@Hansmar: Thank you :-)
Electro-Elvis - I'm always surprised how well you manage hair and skin.
Another spring picture.

Mountains are perfect, Slepalex.
Jay
Slepalex - beautifully done.
Horo - beautiful landscape, lighting and materials perfect.
Slepalex - superb render
Slepalex: very beautiful terrain render.
I used a terrain from Karanta to create a volcano. These are three stacked terrains and some blobs made in Hexagon. And there is the Black UFO from Drachenlords.
Super hell, Hansmar...it melted my screen
Jay
Hansmar - well done volcano with the lava splashes.
A balloon trip isn't wandering but viewing the scene from above may inspire wanderlust. Double stacked terrain and a balloon I once purchased from Daz.
@Hor, love the terrian, nicely done :)
Hansmar - Wow I can feel the heat of the volcano.
Horo - another wow beautiful terrain, magnificent scene.
A kaleidoscope done with a Hdri I exported of the Crazy Clown render
Tim - thank you.
mermaid - thank you. You kaleidoscope render is beautiful. It could go as an embroidered table cloth on a round table, or as a mandala or even as a Bryce render
@mermaid010, thats a nice render...it makes me think of an abstract of what an orange cut in half would look like :D
Desert in Nevada.

Desert in Nevada.
Nice scene. Looks good small size, but the full size image shows a couple of flaws.
The clouds look flat on the underside, and the spikey leaves on the closest tree look detached, as if they are floating.
Yes, I also just noticed that the leaves are torn off. I can do nothing, this is the Bryce Tree property.
Clouds are my creativity under the influence of David Brinnen, when the first version of Bryce 7 was just released. Now it was necessary to change them ... But ...
Shame about the tree, I thought you may have placed the leaves yourself and not noticed. Not a lot you can do about it.
Apart from that it's a really nice image.
Slepalex - Lovely desert scene. Bryce trees are made with metaballs and if a twig gets very thin, the connection to the leaf may get interrupted. I have noticed this several times in my renders. Not much we can do about it. Sometimes, rotating the tree a bit helps to cover the gaps.
Double stacked terrain and some instanced plants in the foreground.
