mermaid - it may be a bit dark - on the other hand, it does have a certain charm in this way because it stirs the imagination ...

Triple stacked warped terrain and a stretched one in the background. Lit by a Parallel and two Distant Lights, an HDRI and the sun. The anaglyph has just the camera moved a bit, the near ground at the bottom of the image also protrudes a bit but it is not disturbing. Main thing was to bring the peaks towards the beholder.

Wow Horo both versions are great but the anaglyph gets my vote, awesome.

Abstract based on David Brinnen's tutorial http://youtu.be/wNs_lYJC_EY

9 terrains tiled 3 x 3, an HDRI for the sky and ambient light and the sun as key light. The strange pattern in the lower right corner was generated by WorldCreator when the terrain was modified to be tileable. WC cannot tile as the TE can, it just makes the 4 sides to match the opposite. If you look closely, you'll notice the repetition.

Diamonds are a girl's best friend (corny, I know, and politically incorrect) Mermaid.

Super , Horo...while the view overall is incredible, the WC pattern is something I get regularly on DEMs of low resolution (but workable, around-able).

Tim - thank you. You're the lucky one but then, the room image is indeed superb and well deserves to be seen.

Jay - thank you. I found another three terrains with such a strange pattern (less and much worse) when I scrutinized the last set of ten I made a while ago, but haven't noticed them in the final renders.

    mermaid - thank you.
