he was in a better mood when we played gwent.
ko'd twice last night playing as ciri in skellige. her armour in the alt look for her to me looks much better. the uma quest opened up, can go to kaer morhen now. still have lots to do in novingrad and skellige. have no ideaif i'll lose quests if i start the uma quest right now. at lvl 21.
i dont have the enhanced feline steel sword diagram. cant make the superior sword, doh i luv the sleeveless feline tunic, is too low lvl now.
enhanced griffin boots doesnt have a rune slot.
haz all 10% sign runes now. i lov casting alt yrden on bandits. zwapp zwapp, and protects geralt from arrows.
dont know why monsters so rarely drop red mutagens this playthru, i still dont have a greater red mutagen.
Transmap test, I killed the render after 20 minutes, I got to turn off the computer and go do chores and run errands. Hope I can come back tonight and work some more. Sorry I didn't get this finished this weekend, still made some progress.
You may want to try and make the layer ends less even, so that they'd blend into each other better?

the inn keeper where yen is staying on skellige had 13 cherry cordials

had to do the dumplings quest to get the feline crossbow crafted. sad now geralt cant get tasty dumplings now.
the sword prize was disappointing, is lower than the enhanced griffin sword.

the spy/shoeses quest is done, doesn't seem to be a way to continue that quest with deekstra.

Yeah getting those caps to look right is a challenge.
I have long had this idea of using a fibermesh cap (sort of like a short crew cut, with "longer wispy bangs" to get the "baby hairs" look), but I never got around to actually building one _and_ pairing it up with a transmapped hair model. This approach does work when generating curve-based hair (LAMH, Garibaldi), when you build in layers.

Now in Skellige.... helped Cerys. watched Ermion and Yennefer quarrel. Collected some red mutagen ... (got 1 greater, 1 normal and 1 lesser now....).
I think it's about time now to help Hjalmar......

Those big bugs near the place where Ermion and Yennefer quarrelled provided some 4 or 5 lesser red mutagens. And some from various other monster infested places. Skellige usual provides me with most of the rare items needed for the various bombs/oils/potions, though it usually takes quite a while and loads of quests and exploring.....
mu geralt was ko'd by big buh near hammond's quest. threw 5 boomers at it, it survived all that. big bug
Ah, yes, the armoured one... took quite a few dancing stars bombs and explosiv bolts (that bug doesn't like fire), not too mention using the Insectoid oil, but it's doable.... One of those near Ermion's quest as well, with some other, a little less tough but still formidable bugs -- quen, hack, slash, dodge, retreat, quen, hack, slash, dodge, retreat ..... you get the picture

The cast for the Netflix Witcher series has been announced. Henry Caville (Superman in the recent movies) was announced a while ago, other names dropping over time. But now it's all out. They didn't try to match the look of the characters in the game at all, which is okay as long as they kept to the spirt of the character. Like if a character is supposed to be older and cynical like Djykstra but they cast Justin Beiber I'd be concerned. I didn't see any WTF casting choices like that though. Still, it will take some getting used to new faces on characters I feel like I know already.
Personally my biggest gripe is that the woman they have playing Yennifer is only 21 years old, and if anything she maybe looks even younger than that from the pictures I've seen. That doesn't fit the character as I envision her at all unless they hand wave it away by saying she's older but sorcery makes he look really young. But having her physically look similarly aged to Ciri just seems that they are ruining the relationship potential between the two by making them more peers than anything else, sisters rather than a Mother-Daughter thing. Similarly not sure how she works with Geralt. It just seems like that role should have gone to a woman more like 30ish. But maybe she's awesome, time will tell.
Yennefer is over 90 actually. But she may look as young as she wants - cuz sorcery, absolutely. Yet, Yennefer is supposed to be pale, with triangular-shaped face and violet eyes. So that actress is going to need loads of makeup and contacts. All of which _will_ make her look older =P
Nah, honestly, I don't believe they will care to match the descriptions from the books - that showrunner pretends she has read them, but her "analysis" of character personalities posted on twitter was laughable. Casting that Caville youth as freaking Geralt just shows how "deep" their representation is.
What they _are_ going to do, though, is use the timeframe from the books, so Ciri was a kid back then. So having a teen play Ciri does make sense.
But that's probably the only thing that is going to make sense about this show.
Look, the original Polish TV series "based on" the Wiedźmin saga plain out sucked. I don't have a more polite word for this. This new one will probably have neat FX, camerawork and the like, but content-wise, it's going to be the same. This time, it's even made by foreigners. Is there a single Polish name in the credits anywhere?!
I don't have netflix, and don't intent to get it either. As such not really following all the things for the new series. I'll just wait and (not) see.....
Based on the cast photos, it looks like they want to make "Witcher when they were kids" sort of thing. Everyone is young. Their take is that this is a fantasy world, not Poland so they can make the charachters look anyway they want to. Whatever, I don't care about that so much but the age thing is an issue for me because it affects the relationship dynamics with people. If Yennefer were a teen, for example, a serious relationship with Geralt - a grizzled adult - would feel creepy. Also, she'd lack the commanding presence of Yennefer, where everyone is sort of afraid of her bark except Geralt. Now as it turns out she's not a teen and as a 21 year old, the creepy factor isn't there but the gravitas of the character is something I am not sure will come across. Can a 21 year old pull off the presence to have witchers tiptoe around her?
