Completely useless detail wink; in Toussaint my name would translate to Guillaume. And, well, I've got several windmills nearby in my region (Yes, I'm dutch, and no kidding, there are several windmills nearby). And what do you see 1st when entering Toussant; Guillaume charging at a windmill???? Coincidence??? I hope so......cheekysurprise

cant sneak by the bear near the place of power
finished the missing brother quest, found a place of power ear there, put the ability point on igni
don't have a blue mutagen yet
found enough blowball weeds to make necrophage oil

Lost count, on my 8th or 9th (or 10th) replay..... now in Skellige, looking for Hammond....

cheeky yeah, places of power are seldom without 'company' (but there are)....

Igni, isn't that a 'red' power? (it is in the pc version). Usually, I develop Quen and Axii before Igni.... personal preference.....

  • MistaraMistara Posts: 38,675

there was a 'freebie' place of power by the dead griffin's nest. i put 2 points on igni and 1 to resolve
smiley when i hit level 4 will put next few points to building up geralt' fast attack.

i wasted 180 crowns at the blacksmith, he had shirt from the opening scene at kaer morhan heart

bandits had diagram for viper steel sword, level 2, can use it now
riding around on trusty steed roach.

hazzing trouble with the roll dodge, did it once, havent been able to do it again

rendering gwent cards might be more fun than Tarot cards

  • glaseyeglaseye Posts: 1,311

Yep, some voices are very familiar (the emperor as the one that was an instant recognition....cheeky )

And some of those cards might indeed be very interesting to make........

is there a red mutagen anywhere in white orchard ?

i've cleared all the question marks on my map, all the places of power.

the only thing left to do is fight the griffin.  the noon wraith at the well, toughest battle.  griffin should be a breeze after that?
bear at the place of power killed me twice, but i felt bad about killing it.

teee heeeee the paintings of geralt in toussant

red mutagens are rare, and probably random. I don't remember if there were any monsters in White Orchard to loot them from.

And yep, noon (and night) wraiths are real buggers at low level; defintely need moondust bombs against those.... The griffin should be a tough 'son off a wench' as Geralt would say..... but in this stage it is still a pretty low level opponent and doable. (Just make good use of the 'extra equipment' you will get from Vesemir....not powerful, but very handy....)

  • MistaraMistara Posts: 38,675

what level were you when you fought the griffin?

i'm at lvl3.  600 pts away from 4, wondering if i should wander the bogs looking for nekkers and hags.

  • glaseyeglaseye Posts: 1,311

I think lvl6, maybe even 7. Did every side quest I could 'find', wandered all around, gathered as much loot and ingredients as I could, sold some and kept the better equipment. And used the dwarven blacksmith (his services are available once you've done the side quest he may give you) to have all my gear repaired before the battle with the griffin....

If you find more shirts, better 'store' them. You may need some later to have better armour crafted (special Witcher gear

i maxxed my IGNI up to 5 smiley put 2 points to resolve. and 1 to the general.  the general don't need to go in a slot?

need red mutagens to power up my grid.  lvl4 says unclocks another slot.

somewhere i picked up a seachell, crafting turned it into a black pearl.

They DO need a slot. They DON'T add to the mutagen-bonus. I rarely use them. In fact, almost all my ability points go to 'combat' or 'signs'. The only 'alchemy' ability I unlock is 'steady aim' (and I only apply it when appropriate for the situation, changing it back to another ability whenever required....)

There are 2 type of shells; the other one gives a white pearl.... they fetch a nice price ...... cheeky

Already got The Witcher (1) as well. Not sure if I will ever play that one out. The controls are just not that for me..... I do prefer the controls as used in TW2 or TW3.

w2 on pc had the signs on number keys, xbox only has 1 sign set up at a time.

needed yrdn to fight the wraith, couldnt use quen.  foreseeing trouble fighting the tougher beasties
would havta constantly go into LB screen to switch

geralt wearing his kaer morhan shirt, no gloves.

can he come back to this inn after the pre-yennifer event?

i dont see how to disrobe his sword harness  >.<

The shirt has it's own 'harness' so that can't be removed... if any other is still visible you might try unequiping all weapons in the character menu...

You can always go back to the Inn after the 'event' but the inkeep and the scholar (and one more) will be gone (though one of the characters will show up again as part of the main quest, and you may find something from the other character later on...... as to the 3rd, depends on how you play the game.........wink

i'm in novingrad.smiley  geralt look good in black velvet.  looted all 3 of the outfits,

  • MistaraMistara Posts: 38,675

the dumpling guy wouldn't craft a sword for me
    went back to white orchard.
now has viper steel sword and viper silver sword smiley

revisited the swampy stuff around the outpost, drowners dropped 2 lesser blue mutagens,
    1 more to alchemy a blue mutagen, couldn't get a 3rd.
mebbe respawned don't drop the good stuff?

  • glaseyeglaseye Posts: 1,311

cheeky yep, getting something better then a dumpling requires a high level quest 1st cheeky

  • MistaraMistara Posts: 38,675

those dumplings were tasty Geralt said so,  the dude kept offering, so Geralt ate 5.

there's a dubious lady strolling around novingrad, more like slinky stroll, hand on her hip, she meowws at Geralt everytime she slinks by.  there's another dubious lady, comments on Geralt's skin tight pants.
looting a lot of dwarven spirit.  so far made a noonwraith decoction and a griffin decoction. made cat.

was only 1 dubious lady in passaflora that would talk to me.  there dubious dudes in there, but they sound like they coughing out a lung when trying to talk to them.

came across a dubious water well, haz a feeling Geralt will have to go in there for something.

still on lvl 4.  need lvl 10 to unlock 2 upper section in the character menu.

the walkthru i'm watching of blood and wine, geralt is up to lvl 39

  • MistaraMistara Posts: 38,675

what's the next Witcher armour?   is it Viper gear?

found the swords okay, but can't find clues to the rest of the Viper outfit.  lvl 4, i'm a long way to wearing cat school gear >.<
