The first Genesis morph is complete. Not happy yet the cheeks are still soft (not those cheeks, they are still covered!) and the cleft in the chin didn't come out enough but it's getting there.

the outfit is Defiant for Genesis and the quickest through together for a texture I've ever made.

    The skin is http://www.daz3d.com/m4-elite-texture-sol

Wouldn't he be the Star Trek version of Zapp Brannigan from Futurama???

    Zapp Branigan

now where did I put that Tnuctip weapon....??? :coolhmm:

Lots of neat weapon models in the archives here, but I don't think I've ever seen one of those. Can you draw us a picture of what they looked like?

And I guess it owes its name to M'Ress?

    D'oh!!!

I certainly set myself up for that one, didn't I?

    Sincerely,

Dang it, I knew I had forgotten something!

Besides yesterday (September 8) being the anniversary of Star Trek's first broadcast, "The Man Trap", it was 40 years to the day, September 8, 1973, when Filmation's animated version of Stare Trek debuted.

So, who better to present a cake? Okay, Arex would also be appropriate, but I don't have a model of the Edoan. Plus, M'Ress is just easier on the eye. ;-P

    Sincerely,

    Bill

Sure that's not a cheesecake? XD
    That's definitely cheesecake.

I'm not sure about what she's holding, though.

Heh, yes, it was supposed to be a joke reply because of course it's a shape-changing weapon...

Was working away on a skin tutorial while setting up to make skins ... there's another reason why Dawn is going to be without a whole lot of skins [at least free ones] as there seems to be something amiss with the mapping and/or how it is read by the various programs.
I exported from D/S said figure. Was trying to paint with an image texture on it and "something wasn't going right" ... so I imported the same model into Hexagon and like yeah, right, ain't happening. It might be that the finished products from certain folk will work on the figure in the staging programs; but if said figure's mapping can't work well in what the rest of us have ... well, c'est la vie.
    Back to Genesis :-)

For what it is worth there is a new merchant resource for Dawn over at RDNA for sale.

Playing around a bit with the add-ons ...

Still haven't found those Javelin files, but one never knows when an old hard drive may offer up its secrets ... ;)

One lives in hope; in the meantime, that's a gorgeous little machine, just gorgeous.

I really like what you guys ahve done with thus ship and a few add ons. I was looking at it and it is a shame there isn't an add on set that had naccells from the TMP or TNG eras. One of the flat naccells from a galaxy class starship scaled to fit would go well on that flat dorsal fin.

I've always liked the dart, and used it quite a lot. The only thing I wish I could do was remove the centre divide, (or move it back), and put in a rear seat. There seems a lot of wasted space behind the chairs.

What is this shuttle called? Is it available somewhere? I really could've used it a month ago for some scenes in my webcomic. Oh well.

    Rosity: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/ptropeaerospace-dart/31070/

It was on sale for $3.50 a couple weekends ago, but it's still pretty reasonable (I think ;)).

I'll try to get the "warp pack" packaged up and posted as a freebie this weekend - only the base MATs as shown, but the nacelles are UV-mapped and I'll see if I can update the templates to account for the wings going through them ;).

Ah, sorry about that. I thought perhaps the reference to the Tnuctip was outside your experience; it sometimes happens.

Fortunately, I was able to find a single picture showing several of its shapes ;)

Still, it annoys me that I can't figure out how to post an outside picture here, since the site moved to this new Vb format

It's up! The "DART WarpPack" is now online at ShareCG: http://www.ShareCG.com/v/71980/view/11/Poser/DART-WarpPack :).

The package includes a Poser MC6 material set to make the keel and wing pylons of the ship invisible. Have fun!

    (I have not tested this in D|S - sorry, guys :( ).

AWESOME!! thanks PTROPE! I will put this to good use but I have one question, what is the shuttle at the bottom of the scene? That looks like a really cool looking ship

Arcas at the DA site posted this group of small-scale passenger vehicle designs he did for an RPG in the '80's. I think they would fit in very well in the Trek Universe. Someone looking for a modelling project should throw one or two of these together for us.

Temporarily at any rate, I have uploaded 7 ST "badges" in "picture tube" form. Created in PSPX4, should work in other editions of Corel's program.

    Ahh, Traveller. Still playing today.

Don't play much these days, but I carry all the old versions and supplements (including The Journals) on my iPad. I love glancing through them for inspiration. Best DVD I ever bought.
