    We Are The Addicts
(with apologies to the late Freddie Mercury)

    I've made my posts
    Time after time
    Many a sentence
    Written line upon line
    Grammar mistakes
    Made more than a few
    I've embarrassed myself
    Had a red face
    But I stumbled through

And I mean to go on and on and on and on

We are the Addicts - my friends
    And we'll keep on posting
    Till the end
    We are the Addicts
    We are the Addicts
    No time for Real Life
'Cause we are the Addicts of the Threads

    I've posted Complaints
    And my Stupid thoughts
You brought me fun and laughter
    And smiles and sympathies
    I thank you all
    We've shared our displeasure
    And our happiness too
There's no reason for us to stop now
    We'll keep rolling along
    Til we all come unglued

And we mean to go on and on and on and on

We are the Addicts - my friends
    And we'll keep on posting
    Till the end
    We are the Addicts
    We are the Addicts
    No time for Real Life
'Cause we are the Addicts of the Threads

We are the Addicts - my friends
    And we'll keep on posting
    Till the end
    We are the Addicts
    We are the Addicts
    No time for Real Life
    'Cause we are the Addicts...

making the realm safe from candycats

when i tried 'intimidate' on them they weren't impressed.

    Cats are never impressed ^^

They don't like hissing sounds. Gets them off the kitchen table quicker than yelling, and seems less traumatic. But even that doesn't impress them for long.
Cats learn different lessons than dogs from the same disciplinary actions on your part.
Dog: Oh I get it! I'm not allowed on the kitchen table...
Cat: Oh I get it! I'm not allowed on the kitchen table when the human is here.
    3.

    Hissing doesn't startle my cat unless I'm the one that does it, and under the second condition she isn't/wasn't expecting it ^^;
Otherwise she just looks at me like she's thinking "What's your problem?"

If I'm at my computer and she comes up to me and starts meowing (Which she is prone to doing A LOT when I've been away for a week, or have been up all day and night and thus is telling me it's bedtime), quickly turning around and hissing often results in her scampering away. But if I 'hiss' at her anywhere else, she gives me that "Yeah? What do you want?" look and shrugs it off :B

And no that constant meowing isn't because of "i'm hungry / thirsty". She does it a lot even after being fed :O
Is sometimes amusing though, since she can just be sitting there or lying down, and I'll approach her and she'll start meowing up a storm. Or I'll meow once and then she'll meow back. Is actually kinda cute.

Sunny afternoon so had a gentle drift around with a friend on the river, so lucky to have water meandering everywhere around the city

    Wooly!

Why did you show up in my dream, hilariously drunk? And you left three gift baskets behind, and I had to try and find you so I could return 'em to you, but you had already hopped to a train to be elsewhere, where the party is? And how come you said that you'll pick 'em up in three weeks, when the laundry day is? :D

(Intrestingly enough, this is my first plot-coherent dream ever since I swapped meds. They've been nothing but a fragmented hot mess as brain is trying to puzzle it out.)

Me showing up in your dreams makes it a nightmare! (ahhh face)

Oddly enough, I had some vodka last night and was partying in chat with my friends.. I was pretty funny (lol).. maybe you picked up on that? I was teasing this one nice Dutch lady, maybe her vibes made it all the way to you? (scared face)

Just leave the gift baskets outside, I'll get 'em later... (smirk)

LOL. Wooly can't afford to go bar-hopping right now, so he has taken up dream-hopping instead. :D
    10.

    Certainly looks that way!

Oh, stories I could tell.. I meditate a lot and I've had out-of-body experiences, as well as a LOT of lucid dreaming. Maybe I just dropped in to annoy you!!! (smirk)

And definitely can't afford to bar hop right now.. sigh. (frownie)

    Dear Troubled:

At one time in the past, I had a legit join date. Unformtunately, when DAZ switched message board software, there was some kind of disruption in the space-time continuum and my join date was sent back to the Big Bang that created the Universe.

I've been working to retrieve it, but the navigation circuits in my TARDIS are faulty and I keep winding up in the Precambrian Era, being chased by giant bacteria.

I can only hope that someday, I'll find my join date again, and the world will be in harmony.

My usual lack of attention to detail then. Dang. Now I'll never get that Art Director job at Parents Magazine.

1,667 posts since the beginning of Time. That's pretty sad.

At this point I'll reach Addict right about the time the Universe collapses back in on itself, and I'll have to start all over again! Waahhhhh!

Complaint: hot. Non-complaint: Friday, and the weekend is free for rendering.

Whine: Quad-core i7 machines aren't cheap. And still no effing smileys! (angry face)

Dunno if this counts as a "comic" or not since it's just one image, but I'll just link to it:

Is a very very very funneh image X3
Kid runs up and gives this dinosaur a hug and it's thinking (!?) and starts to panic more as it tries in vain to shake him off, then runs off with the guy holding on to its tail XD
The dino's expression is just <3</p>

Wooly: me an' my friends already ATE most of the perishable stuff from that dream gift basket. :( Ugh, do we really need to eat all that chocolate and jam too? THREE GIFT BASKETS, man. THREE.

I think you won them from some kind of pub bingo or lottery or something, I couldn't quite figure out what you were explaining 'cuz you were so happy and happily drunk.

...can't say much for the MMO version but the original P & P RPG by the same name rocked....

    MMO Version? o_O
I only remember Final Fantasy getting (two) MMO releases, but not the DQ series.

I do remember hearing about the P&P DQ game. IIRC it was the reason that Enix had to release their game in America under DragonWarrior. Wasn't until they merged into SquareEnix that they finally got the rights to use the name (Which the game in Japan had been using the entire time the American release was stuck under the name of DragonWarrior ;P)

...shows just how much I am in touch with the electronic gaming trend these days. The last computer game I played was Civ-II before my old P1 machine went "*poof*.

To me these days it seems everything has been going MMO. Heck, even some "traditional" P&P games like D&D 4th ed. and Shadowrun4 seem to have gone the route of the multiplayer net based games in the way they play (which is one of the main reasons why I still work with SR 3rd ed).

About the only game which remotely interests me today is Flight Simulator, but need the proper control interfaces (yoke, stick, throttle(s), rudder pedals, etc) and triple display system to actually make it feel "right".

Somewhere in a file cabinet I still have a copy of the core rulebook for the original DragonQuest. Have to dig it out sometime.

Tinfoil hats just improve conductivity. (This was actually tested!)

What you want is a combo of a dreamcatcher and Faraday's cage.
