Geh. Now Cinema4D is acting up and I have no idea what I did (If anything) that made it start acting this way. Resetting the preferences folder didn't help like it usually does... =/

    Ah well.

...About the only game which remotely interests me today is Flight Simulator, but need the proper control interfaces (yoke, stick, throttle(s), rudder pedals, etc) and triple display system to actually make it feel "right". ...

Thought you might be interested in this, KK...

O.O (whoever did that could quite easily get a job in the training simulation industry...).

X-Plane is over here (do I really need to "explain"? ;-) ).

    http://www.x-plane.com/desktop/home/

...been on my wishlist for when my income improves.

...along with the Huptwerk Virtual Pipe organ simulator.

That's one heck of an organ!!! (bug eyed face)
...yeah. Hooks up to a PC which is runs the simulation app and an array of speakers. All organs included are fully sampled note for note from real instruments, encompassing the gamut of time periods from the European baroque to the 20th century (including the American cinema organ) eras. Like X-Plane, the base software comes with a number of instruments "ready to play" and includes full acoustic ambience of the location where the original organ is installed. One can also purchase specific instruments of note to perform on without ever needing to leave the comfort of the living room or studio. The quality is absolutely amazing.

Here's an example of one of my favourite Bach works, the "Jig" Fuge in G major performed on the historic Hinsz organ in Kampen, Netherlands available with the Hauptwerk Virtual Organ system. Notice the "delay", (echo) of the church's vast interior.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ncVblmduSQ

Attached is a photo of the actual instrument that is sampled.

Pretty cool! One of my samplers has a church pipe organ, it's kind of lame, though - no real oomph in the low registers. But it was free, hard to complain much!

Complaint: VERY tired and VERY cranky right now ><<br /> It's hot, my room is *flooded* with light at this time of the evening because of where the windows are, and I can't do anything about it, the fan in the window isn't helping much, and I keep tossing and turning a ton. It's much more bearable in the main room, but the only options there are a very very short couch or the floor.
Ah and I've got work in a few hours too - and I haven't slept in almost 20 hours, and I can't GET any sleep either DX

@Misty: Ooh ooh! I know that draggy! That's Lizzie! =D
In DQ6 you can get various slimes and stuff in your party and a single dragon - her. Slimes are all well and good, but I'd take the big axe-wielding female dinosaur anytime :3
I wonder how she got resurrected though? I don't believe they ever said anything about that in the game (I haven't finished it yet though.)

@ps1borg: Heeeh... Yeah the heat-related complaints finally caught up with me I guess. It's been hot here for a while, but it never bugged me until today when it started to interfere with my sleep D:

*Edit* Unrelated random, but Skiriki's name has been reminding me of a character named Shinki:

Went to sleep and missed it all! tjohn hitting Addict (Awesome song, copied and pasted), the Wooly getting all Loachy on the code and making plans, Rezca pushing me to want PRG's I can not buy (money) and posting all the images that make me go COOL, Misty just being so Misty, making connections I would never see (Brown Betty noms on coffee?), Ps1borg with all the (not really) spam to get 100% caught up with all the cool stuff, Dana T, KK, Frank and the others all just took off, and now here I sit, brain overload and with nothing to say.

    Hi. All I got.

*holds her head with both hands*

Nope, Wooly did not pick up the dream gift baskets and they are still somewhere in my skull. I'll just chuck them with the rest of the stuff sloshing about in my subconsciousness, he'll get to pick 'em up when the "laundry day" happens...

But at least I slept. It was cool -- as in, temperature-wise! -- enough to sleep! YAY!

...only geek stuff. It's kind of a co-op where people bring on old systems to donate which are refurbished and then either given to the needy, schools or sold in their thrift store along with other computer related stuff.

well it looks like my connectivity has gone to HiaHB again. took five minutes to refresh this (and one reboot of the modem app) just to fix a typo.

...well off to bed, been listening (or at least trying ) to music as inspiration for Leela's wedding scene, think I may found the perfect piece.

Written by American composer David Johnson who's works have a decidedly "British" feel to them.

Performed in a French cathedral on a very "French" sounding instrument build by a Dutch organ maker (figure that one out). The space of this cathedral lends to the very stately feel of this work.

Of course, in the story the ceremony is held at Westminster Abbey in London with all pomp and pageantry with the work performed on both organ and herald trumpets. Lady Meg only demands the best for her little girl.
