Hehehehehehehe :D :D :D
Awesome.
I keep a dream journal, because my dreams can get so bizarre they make great story and image ideas. (bug eyed face)
Some of them are so odd I worry abut my sanity.. ugh. (ahhhhh face)
...note to self: wear tinfoil hat to bed tonight.
...The I'm In Yur DreamZ Complaint Thread
Tell me if that works!!! (evil grin)
Seems a tad extreme, but effective. (smirk)

...not if you make sure the shiny side is out to reflect unwanted beams away.
...and wouldn't I need a "dreamrepeller" rather than dreamcatcher?
Nuuuu.
Same principle as "lightning rod". I mean, yes, it DOES attract lightning, but it does so in order to ground it, instead of letting lightning hit a building willynilly wherever it pleases...
The Japanese/Enix DragonQuest (I've never seen it spelled 'Dragonquest' - only 'DragonQuest or Dragon Quest) has never - to my knowledge - gone the MMO route. I'm not sure if it's even gotten any form of multiplayer at all even after nearly 16 games. Unless one counts the "Monsters*" spin-off, which got competitive one-on-one battling in the GBC games and later online one-on-one battling in the NDS versions. Not much human interaction in the mainstream games though.
The Final Fantasy series does have two MMOs however - XI and XIV.
The first three DQ games and the first two Monsters games were released under the name of DragonWarrior, but every game (To my knowledge - I think VII was the last game to be released under that name, but I could be wrong. I never followed DW/DQ the same way I did with Final Fantasy) after that was released under the same name as in Japan - DragonQuest. I dunno exactly when that was though, but it was some time after Squaresoft and Enix merged. I guess they didn't have the power to get the rights to use that name until then. They couldn't even release the games internationally until they changed the name before that *shrugs*
*DragonWarrior/Quest Monsters was a fun Pokemon-esque spin-off from the mainstream games where you tame and raise monsters rather than beat the crap out of them. You have the monsters do that instead XD
A number of bosses from the series can be obtained and used as well. Me likes getting Orochi and having her wreak havoc early in the game :3
KyotoKid, were you thinking of EverQuest? It had a pen-and-paper d20-based RPG.
Brown Betty

Oooh rawr~ Phoenixes :D
Some people say Mokou's possessed by a phoenix, but that would be a bit redundant since she's already immortal from drinking the Hourai Elixir.
Excellent!

I'll get happily drunk again tonight and we'll see what happens. Hopefully I'll invade someone ELSE'S dreams this time!(bug eyed face)
YAAAAAAAAHHHH! (begins to make plans to stay up all night)
...nine, ten, never gonna sleep again...
Every time someone uses that abbreviation, I think of ice cream.
Dana
oh, hot fudge sundae. Haven't had one is ages cause I'm lactose intolerant but it sure sounds good.

Ice Cream games? :3
Haha ^^

Oh no, not good!!!! (scared face)
Thought you might be interested in this, KK...

O.O (whoever did that could quite easily get a job in the training simulation industry...).
X-Plane is over here (do I really need to "explain"? ;-) ).

...nope, the DragonQuest RPG I played (and have) was published by SPI back in 1981.

...been on my wishlist for when my income improves.
...along with the Huptwerk Virtual Pipe organ simulator.

That's one heck of an organ!!! (bug eyed face)

Ah THAT one.
Might want to nix the pic on behalf of Rezca, tho.

That's a nice setup
15 minutes before I pack up and head for the bus! (huge grin)
It's been the day from Hell - almost continual debugging with just enough down time to post in here and shove a can of soup down for lunch, but the problem was discovered and I've fixed the code.. Monday morning will be general testing.
Going to shop on the way home and pick up enough food and beer that I don't have to leave my cave all weekend, w00t! Render, write, eat sausage w/ bbq sauce, and (blech) fill out 3 tax forms.
Tired, tired, tired. Nothing like super-intense debugging sessions on the factory floor to wear you right out. I figure I deserve a nice, relaxing weekend now! I have to play with shaders and see about putting V4 stuff on Genesis Vicky, same thing for M4 on Genesis Mike.
And of COURSE I need to get happily drunk so I can zip across the astral plane and pick up those gift baskets I left at Skirikis.. (hee hee)!
Thank you, the imaginary chocolate and jam being around is giving me lots of guilt!

...yeah. Hooks up to a PC which is runs the simulation app and an array of speakers. All organs included are fully sampled note for note from real instruments, encompassing the gamut of time periods from the European baroque to the 20th century (including the American cinema organ) eras. Like X-Plane, the base software comes with a number of instruments "ready to play" and includes full acoustic ambience of the location where the original organ is installed. One can also purchase specific instruments of note to perform on without ever needing to leave the comfort of the living room or studio. The quality is absolutely amazing.
Here's an example of one of my favourite Bach works, the "Jig" Fuge in G major performed on the historic Hinsz organ in Kampen, Netherlands available with the Hauptwerk Virtual Organ system. Notice the "delay", (echo) of the church's vast interior.

Attached is a photo of the actual instrument that is sampled.

Too late - already saw it XD
And I remember stuff like THAT a lot easier than I do severe nudity and other things, surprisingly enough ^^;
...shows just how much I am in touch with the electronic gaming trend these days. The last computer game I played was Civ-II before my old P1 machine went "*poof*.
To me these days it seems everything has been going MMO. Heck, even some "traditional" P&P games like D&D 4th ed. and Shadowrun4 seem to have gone the route of the multiplayer net based games in the way they play (which is one of the main reasons why I still work with SR 3rd ed).
About the only game which remotely interests me today is Flight Simulator, but need the proper control interfaces (yoke, stick, throttle(s), rudder pedals, etc) and triple display system to actually make it feel "right".
Somewhere in a file cabinet I still have a copy of the core rulebook for the original DragonQuest. Have to dig it out sometime.
If you're interested in a Shadowrun Computer game there's a new one coming out from Harebrained Schemes (http://harebrained-schemes.com/shadowrun/). Should release sometime this month and will be available either direct from them or through Steam. It's not multiplayer (massively or otherwise) but it comes with the tools to build your own adventures and those will be shareable via a kind of storefront.
