    Be it a male or a female - i hope the next DAZ character will have a different look than the previous ones. It bugs me that we get so many similar-looking figures, especially thin white females and burly white males.

    So let's have other ethnicities, and if it's a male, make him slight or chubby, and noticably short or tall, and for females, what about a chubby (Bethany-like) or a muscular one - like Rune or even more, like a MMA or wrestler-type?

    As the saying goes, if you try to please everyone, you end up pleasing no one.

    I think Daz does a reasonable job of coming up with different types of characters, as evidenced by all the "I don't like [Name] at all and I'm not going to buy him/her!" comments countered by the "I love [Name]. Best new figure yet!" comments in the same threads for the named figures. I also think Daz is trying to make each of those figures appeal to the widest audience as possible.

    We have no idea what figures have sold the best in the past. But I'm pretty sure Daz is going to use their sales figures to determine what sort of base figures to release. As we are often told, the people who come in and comment in the forums is a small percentage of the total customer base. It doesn't matter how loudly we beg for specific variations, like any profitable company, Daz is going to use their sales figures to determine what the customer base as a whole wants.

    (Personally, I think the numbers don't tell the whole story. We can't buy what doesn't exist… like oodles of quality-made male clothing, for example—the operative word there being "oodles!")

    Since I'm pretty sure a Guy 8 or any more toon pro bundles are coming I likely have nothing I want to buy but I am mostly interested in how the modeling details are improved towards being more realistic and I think they have been, some complaints to the contrary not withstanding.

    If we're expecting a new G8 this week, then I'm really really hoping for a tall skinny white 20-year-old woman bundled with hair and clothing that looks exactly like those I already own (maybe a different colour or something) and (most importantly) no good deals for buying. (I really need to avoid the temptation to spend).

    ETA:  But if it must be a good deal, then +1 to Gianni 8!

    Come on DAZ, pay attention to how many of us really, really want Gianni 8! I've been wanting him since Genesis 8 debuted.

    Oh, yeah. I know that. The market for all things male is definitely smaller than for the female. I wasn't criticizing any of the vendors, just making an observation on the sales figures and resulting conclusions.

    I do think sales of men stuff is a downward spiral, as well. For example, if there are 100 fantasy outfits for the ladies and 5 fantasy outfits for the gentlemen in a featured sale, it's going to be much easier for customers to find one or more things they like out of the larger female selection than the smaller one for males. That can't help but result in lower sales numbers for the male items in that sale.

    Regardless, it's impossible to get mad at PAs for not wanting to work just as hard for half the return. Or less.

    I really try to support the male clothing/hair/etc vendors, but the truth is I pretty much already have all the male clothing/jhair/etc in the store I like and can use. When I filter by male content for a sale, there isn't much to choose from. (Although I seldom buy for generations earlier than G3 any more,)

    This true for me also. I've pretty much picked it clean. Bought Doomed Poet just today because I use David 5 a lot still and I thought the shirt especially would simulate well (and it does). However, I'd like to say that personally, if there were MORE, I'd buy it. :P One cannot buy what doesn't exist.

    Ditto. I have enough sci-fi and fantasy stuff for males of all generations, so it's the contemporary (real world?) clothing I want, with dForce, of course. Pickings are slim to zero most of the time.

    Not Gianni, but quite welcome. I like character actors.

    Like the clothing in the bundle as well. The hair... Actually, one of them will probably get used.

    I had hoped/sort of expected a male for today, but I am quite happy with this lady despite that. Only concern I have is wether it will be a male next time, and if I will have enough store credits left to buy him than :)

    She is great, very realistic....but ....I have no need for her.... I will not buy and save my store credit of the WE GC sale for the next hot male....hope still for Gianni8 :(

    I'd love to see more variety in the males as well, but if we're going to get another female then yes Chow 8 is exactly the kind of stuff I want to see! Non-white base character, not an overly sexualized 20 something? Or yet another teen character? Yes, yes, yes! Instant buy.

    yes  The male content has a void in relation to the female content that causes a spiral that feeds back.

    I love this series of characters! Even Mrs Chow, and some of the others that I have had to wish list because of low fundage. They really have a lot of characters with different feeling than some of the other generations.

    It's already been stated by DAZ_Steve in another thread that the Genesis 8 lines will last longer than the rest of the 2019 year so this business of X more changes to have the new pro bundle of whatever character you are hoping for isn't valid anymore.
