my mind went straight to slinky
More simple shapes...
The fun shell - started out as a 2D square...
Some fun shaders:
1. Old Chocolate
2. Warm Chocolate
3. Rich Chocolate
4. Super Fine, Well Tempered Chocolate
it's fun modelling from just a cube..
I started this one off yesterday as a cube and it just went from there
I thought as well as wacky why not something goofy.
boned and all
Happy Valentines Day, Carrara-ists. Beautiful chocolates, Persona Non Grata. And as always, your shaders are excellent.
Goofy is spot on, Stezza. Wonderful modeling.
As always, your work is absolutely amazing and inspiring. You see a cube and create Goofy, I look at Goofy and can't imaging how he was ever a cube. Pure sorcery.
Thanks so much for sharing your talent, it never fails to make my days seem a little brighter.

Simple curtain model...
Used Carrara's native soft body deformer...
Simple 'velvet shader' (click for the bigger picture)
Simple render...
And there's more - well a change actually...
Just a bit of fun...
thanks @diomede and @wsterdan for your nice posts..
continuing on with cube modelling
today I modelled a wacky cat and boned it!.... and gave it a wacky bag of tricks
Excellent !!!
Nice Felix !
Great work on Goofy Stezza!
I'm trying to improve my modelling skills, but got a long way to go...
Test render to check for imperfections using a highly reflective shader - can see a few...
More tweeks to follow, I think.
very cool wacky boobs and butt .. using a hexagon in Carrara to start off with ... awesome
Thanks Stezza...
Tweeked and now I'm happy with the 'beautiful' vase...
Final render... showing off new shaders especially created for the scene.
Simple rug model...
Used Carrara's native soft body deformer...
Detailed view...
just wacky...
Don't ya just love them procedurals...
I need to sit down...
Open air concert...
..Not only a sit down but also a hug...
The Hugga
My hugga doesn't want to hug me and is running away... sniff
What's next...
As you can see the hairy vest is now separate - I just have to find out how to make it into conforming clothing!
Fun render of separate vest...
interesting haunted clothing as long as it only hugs not smothers in one's sleep
huggs. remember the hugging chair in ghostbusters? haule dher into the refridgerator of zool.
wacky ladybug?
+1
Well said, Walt. Stezza does magic.
Selina, from the curtains, all the way to the vest, your modeling in this last stretch has just been terrific. You seem to have figured out the soft body physics, or have at least made it workable. Really well done.
Thanks Wendy, UB
Got the clothes to conform - but there's poke through so have to look at the weight mapping - my favourite (NOT) !
Simple vertex extrusion and morph set...
Base model as seen from
Wave morph
Bulge morph
Offset morph
Twist morph
Combination (for good measure...)
lollies?
Those look great. Were the morphs done using the modifiers in the properties tab, or did you make formal morphs with the vertex modeler? Either way, good stuff.
Thanks Wendy and Diomede...
The morphs were created in the vertex modeller.
..adding to the shape...
A morphable plinth
remodelled - can you spot the earlier errors?
Simple render with SSS shader
Not just shading, but lighting your models too...
Using ies on bulbs effectively turns them into spots
Rendered images, both have the red and green lights in the same XYZ positions, the only difference is the rotation...
