The pond isn't fed by streams, though. It was a retaining pond they filled when they were constructing the development. Somebody stocked it with some fish. It gets Mallards visiting and Canada Geese, and even a Great Blue Heron now and then. Once, I saw a Belted Kingfisher on the wires waiting, then it suddenly dove into the pond. That was the only time I saw one. I know we have bats around, too, one swooped by me when I was in the front garden in early evening once. And once when I was doing yardwork a Red Tailed Hawk swooped right by me...I felt the breeze and looked up and saw it go around the corner of the house.

    A faster laptop is rapidly becoming more important than food. I can go 2-3 months on top ramen and hot dogs, I'm sure. :blank:

    made it to work t'day. feeling a mite feeble. job descriptions says i should be able to lift 70lbs. that's not gonna happen any time soon.

    are yoo taking any classes this semester?


    if i didn't have to work, i'd go for something in Communications.
    i took a few computer sciences and English 101 in 1983. do credits expire after 30 years? holey moley.

    I found out why we overeat when we're stressed. Just spell "stressed" backwards and it will all become clear. :)

    I wish I had a snack machine I run next to my desk that way I have to pay to get my own snacks, but with that money I can buy more snacks. Also if any of my housemates want one of my snacks they pay and I can replace that snack. Doubt that would go well with the landlady.
