Ok kids...let's clear this up quickly so we can get on with it. Here is what rule #5 says:

    5. Bryce, Hexagon, Blender, Poser and Daz are allowed for the contest. Items given free with these Apps will not count towards the freebie count as they will not be available for all users, but can be used as non countable items. 3rd party Poser figures need clarification as they can normally only be used within poser and are essentially paid for items as Poser is a paid for app.

Here it clearly states that any items "given" free WITH app can be used but can not be counted. So, yes you can use it if it came with Blender, but you can't count it as a freebie or paid for. It is neutral. Simple huh?

Kendall...why are you resigning as an ETO? What is the problem that is so bad, you feel the need to quit? I just never saw you as a quitter, that's why I asked you to be an ETO. If I am wrong, please explain to me why you would quit. If it is over this little thing, maybe you should wait to see what I say before you quit. Please reconsider.

I am not "quitting." I simply do not have the time to devote to it. There are a lot of very time consuming opportunities that I *must* take advantage of and these will further restrict my time. I have been contemplating resignation as an ETO since before B left us, but put it off with his departure. Since DG has come on board to take on B's load I feel I can drop out w/o causing undue problems.

The direction of this thread (another rules dispute) has just made me to decide to go ahead and "get 'r done." I will continue to be around, and I may occasionally post. I might even submit a render sometime in the future. As I stated, I will continue to host and operate the gallery.

    ... NOTICE! ...

I will say this again so some of you do not misunderstand the theme. This is NOT A CAR RENDER THEME! I guess the term "Hot Wheels" makes you think it is. Hot Wheels are toys! Thus, the kids. Kids don't drive, but teens do. Thus cars!

BUT....a hot wheel to a kids world can be a wagon, unicycle, bicycle, tricycle, skates, soapbox car, skateboard, home made concoctions, etc. Once again..."anything that can move you about".

Also, it must be a "summer's end" setting.

SO, THIS IS NOT A CAR RENDER THEME!

Mmalbert, your entry made me smile so widely :). But I cannot see that kids and teens the contest is supposed to be about - I can be wrong, though.

I don't know. I remember my tricycle. I was maybe 6 to 8 years old, and I would go to the top of the project I lived in and give it a push and fly down the walk that went all the way to the bottom. It was a nice hill, and I loved to go fast down there. So no, not just for adults.

My favorite "Hot Wheel" was an old round red metal Coca cola sign we used for a sled when it snowed. We could get the whole neighborhood on that thing and head down the steep road I lived on. With it frozen with ice and snow, that thing would really go. I can still remember laughing so hard when we would hit the bottom of the hill and everyone would go flying into the air. No one ever got hurt.

RL can be a challenge sometimes Kendall. come back and play sometime direction or not we do have fun, and what would life be without the few pain in the arses we have to deal with in life.

    "Sitting Pretty"...?

Well, she definitely IS pretty... in dungeons deep and caverns old, so to speak... :P

I only hope the squirrell won't get smashed when she is going to drive off!

But I cannot get to download Surfer Hair, I'm only getting some meaningless statistics.

Nice entry Dorsey. This covers the theme great. Love his/her expression. The site with the brick warehouse has 6 pages of real cool quick load Japanese props. I had this site bookmarked at one time, but lost it when my old pooter fried. I was very pleased to get this again. Thanks.

    R72 Leather Shaders (Truck interior)*
License Plate and Frame (license plate)*
    The Hills (landscape)*
Lake Beach (two of the trees)
3D Model Trees 06 (Oak Tree)*
    Free Eagle (Eagle)

    Paid For Items:
    JeanZ Skirt for Genesis (Tommie)
    Erato Hair (Tommie)
Genesis Starter Bundle for Genesis Evolution morphs (Tommie)

    No-Count
    Blue F-150 (Truck)
    Ford Emblem (Truck)
Squirrel (Limited Edition Freebie from Most Digital Creations)

I knew Tommie loved her truck. I especially like the chrome bumper shader...awesome. My only critique here is out of all the freebie links, only four sites were listed. Way too many from Sharecg. Makes it too easy. Still allowed though. Nice render.

I also think that lack of lighting on her face has given her odd shadows. She really is cute, I've seen her before.and besides she just looks like she's having a bad lighting day. Too much shade on the face. I've had a day or two like that in RL

*puts out some pies AGAIN trying to start a pie fight. Also sets a trap for everyone when they come in and runs off laughing and waits*

Sorry for the tardy response -- still busy with various other projects -- but I did want to say thanks for the comments on my Cave Boys and Their Toys entry.

Yeah, the girl's supposed to be hitchhiking. She has a couple offers to choose from, the sensible-looking fellow with the sensible family sedan and sensible Cho club -- or the bad boy with with his tricked-out convertible and showy spear. Decisions, decisions...

Whoops. Well, I totally missed the mark on my entry this month. Ha! Oh, well. No time to redo anything, though. Note to self: Pay more attention to opening post next time.

Ack! Who got pie all over these brand new clothes?

Now I'm going to have to find some more clothes... or a washing machine.
