That's okay. I thought everyone on this thread knew that.I just pop in and look around, I read so many threads each day keeping up with who does what how is not a option...
scrapped the uniform, but if anyone wants it' I'll do up a red and blue version of it but it will just be in texture image format and only for Defiant for Genesis.
This is more in line with what I'm looking for. a gradual progression from the dark and moody black and greys' of DS9 and TNG to a more diplomatic appearance for Starfleet.
Check the trans setting in the materials

Okay.
I think I'd prefer the other uniform. It felt more like a return to the exploration days of Starfleet, before the Dominion War. I could well imagine it being the next evolution of the uniform after DS9/Voyager, if the war hadn't occurred.
hi everyone got a new computer, am looking for a free simple program to take lwo and convert to obj. I use to have one but can not remember what it was. (not blender or milkshape
I've been told PoseRay can do that.

It does indeed.
thanks that's what I had
Hi again... :) I have another request for you fine folks. I am looking for a hair model that would be good for a Klingon. I have seen Mylochka's hair props and they're good, but not what I'm looking for - I'm looking for the long, curly hair of DS9 and TNG. I've tried adapting and fitting other hair models around Klingon ridged foreheads, but they wind up looking ugly where the hair meets the skull and I can't figure out how to fix it. If anyone can help, either with tips for adapting hair or pointing me toward a new hair figure, I'd be ever so grateful. :)

I agree with you there, it does have that feel, just not the one I'm going for. I'll still release it, but only in the three standard colours. What my train of thought is, it is primaryly based on the book series started by David Mack that has a whole slew of alien races pretty much getting together and forming their counter to the Federation. The Typhon Pact. The Federation is also dealing with the devistation the Borg did in their 'end game'. Destiny book series ( http://www.amazon.com/Star-Trek-Destiny-David-Mack/dp/1451657242/ref=pd_bxgy_b_text_z )
The Alpha Quadrant is pretty much been set back 200 years in exploration. Planets that once excisted, dont. Vulcan is barely hanging on. The Andorians have withdrawn from the Federation. I could go on but....Spoilers!
In essence The Federation is dealing with a new kind of threat and isn't sure how to handle it. Entropy.
People don't trust each other since so many planets are beeing flooded with refugees. Resources are thin.
You get the point.
And with my uniform I've shown up above it's as said, more diplomatic and friendlier than the greys and blacks.
Tech note: while I'm making this outfit, my brother Roy, Shadowhawkone will be making a complimentary style of outfit for the v4 bodysuit. Valient and Couragous will come soon. (just not DAZ soon.)

*** Update, when I get the new XS Wear for Genesis and Genesis2, I'll inlcude a texture for it too.
Many thanks for maintaining this thread! It's really awesome to have a place with so many useful links.
I have one question regarding the Foundation 3D links, has anyone been able to register with the site lately? I try to register and it only asks for my date of birth. It never asks for an email address then the registration fails because it says I have left a required field blank :( :(
There are so many nice looking spaceship models there, I'd really like to be able to register.
I like that design! It does look like a natural progression of the ST uniforms. (The Mirror Universe sickbay outfit was awesome too)If Star Trek were to come back to TV, I'd like to see a variety of uniforms.
A standard uniform, more business like, that would be used by officers/bridge crew - the people that would interact more with people outside the ship.
Dress variant for VIP functions
A coverall-type practical uniform for maintenance/engineering functions.
Landing party jacket
Medical personnel uniforms
Science lab/doctor lab coats/smocks
Off duty uniform - because serving on a starship means you're always on call
I had reason to look through the list on page 1...
The readme in this one says it's for the Men's Sweater in Clothing-P4 Male - I'm guessing this was something that came with some version of Poser.

Yes. P4 Male is an early Poser male that came in Poser 4- back before Smith Micro started naming their figures. In fact, Smith Micro didn't even own Poser back then.
Good to see I'm off the hook with that one.
And for the teasers from hell.
GeorgeHaz has been working on a number of projects.
The communicator and rank pin (currently showing Captain)
The Raven - A single seat fighter with warp and atmospheric engines.(moveable seats, joystick, landing gear and canopy. controls include a holographic sphere for a 360 view for the pilot (sorry you have to show where the target is)).
Holographic Tricorder.
And for my bit.
The new Uniform but this time in red.
I didn't have much time tonight to play and work on outfits but thought I'd show some new items coming to the Star Trek 3D Universe.

paul . looks fantastic , george is good . i love to see new stuff from him
Somebody fed the Tribble ;-)
image removed by me.
You mean, someone washed a tribble and forgot the tumble dryer was set on "fluffy". :coolsmirk:

No abusing little puppies! geez.
Well Since my brother let the tribble out of the bag in regards to the project I am working on here is a WIP of the new jumpsuit texture I will be making as a freebie to go with the sets he is making for V4 Courageous, M4 Valiant and Genesis Defiant.

Hand signals are a rather dangerous way of communicating as what a signal means in one country, is not the same as in another. So for those who may be wondering how to take this display, the "L" means Loser and as defined in Wiki: The loser is a hand gesture made by extending the thumb and index fingers, leaving the other fingers closed to create the letter L, interpreted as "loser", and generally given as a demeaning sign.
And of course, it does rather leave some of us wondering why is it being used in an image displayed in this thread.

Very simple. it's at me. (and thank you for the education :-) but I think enough people have watched the Kardashians to know it's application.)
I let the tribble out of the bag that he was doing a complimentary outfit to my current white top uniform. Simply by my mentioning it I kind of forced his hand to make it.
I'm taking suggestions here, what else would people like to see with this outfit. Something with the pants or just leave them?

Well guess who hasn't! Okay, I did notice your mention though of the XS Wear for Genesis and Genesis2 and it's now in the closet.
I've also done some seasonally cleaning and if we all survive that next pass this month ... as time permits will continue working on some new items.
............................
OT - head signals are another situation between various countries. Body language, in N.A. we tend to nod our heads up and down in agreement ... and in some European countries it is the shaking of the head that means yes. Rather distracting when watching a speaker trying to sell an idea while shaking his head. His words say buy, his head says don't.
And then there's the eyebrow communications ... way up north, someplace, some group ... raised eyebrows means "yes" and lowered means "no".

actually it was supposed to have a small blurb about her not being happy with Star Fleet standards about hair being kept above the shoulders but somehow with it being late I failed to post it with the image. There was no insult meant to anyone, no matter what Paul may say about it being aimed at him. I will update the image tonight with a different pose so that it doesn't leave people wondering what I was thinking.

That reminds of the flight suit that was used in one episode of Voyager unless I'm remembering incorrectly... LOL

I kind of think I remember that one but no it wasn't patterened off that. Paul showed me a 3D made image from Zbrush or othe rgame enegine and commented on liking the way that suit looked so I used some of the aspects of it to create this one I still need to work on the bump map and trans map for the collar to make ti match what Paul has done with his.

Some similarities
David
OK I was thinking of a different suit and yes it is patterned after that suit. I saw a generic 3D done version and didn't associate it with the Voyager jumpsuit. Thanks for pointing it out David, interesting to know it was actually used in a series, I thought it was from one of the online Star Trek games.
