Very simple. it's at me. (and thank you for the education :-) but I think enough people have watched the Kardashians to know it's application.)

    Well guess who hasn't!

For what it's worth, the gesture's been in common use for a lot longer than the Kardashians; the lyrics to Smash Mouth's "All Star" from way back in 1999 were:

"Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me
I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed
She was looking kind of dumb, with her finger and her thumb
In the shape of an 'L' on her forehead"

Thanks for the notes on gestures and expressions, it's a very interesting topic, especially if you're considering first contact stories without universal translators and mind melds.

Regarding "universal symbols" and icons, I think my favourite story is from way, way back (I think it was the 80s) when an importer was stopped by Russian customs officers, who were apparently very angry; they said something to the effect of, "Do you think we are stupid? Do you really think we would believe you were shipping crates of umbrellas and broken wine glasses?".

Has anyone been able to register for the 3D Foundation site that is linked on the first page? There are some nice looking ship models there but I can't seem to register for the site.

I just tired to create an account, it looks like their system is missing a step in the process. I've send a message but I suggest you do the same.

    Hey all,

First off I want to explain my last image, the loser hand sign in my last image was supposed to go with a shirt story about her being reprimanded for the Star Fleet dress code regarding her hair style. I apologize if it was interpreted as an insult to the group or a single individual (No Paul I wasn't singling you out ... You know I am better at the subtle smacks than that BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Any way here is the purple texture of the suit and thanks to David for showing me the origins of the suit design I am basing mine off of. I plan on changing a few thinks to sew this a feminine uniform jumpsuit.

Thanks! Nice to hear it's not just me. I used the 'Contact Us' option for the site. Hopefully by seeing more than one person is having the same problem it will get their attention :) The forums are still active so people are still posting.

BTW - really liking the uniform designs!

Looking good Bro, I can see I need to make a couple of changes to my texture map to make it match what you are doing. can't wait to see the rest.

Okay and one more Uniform Original for our scifi usage.

    http://sta.sh/01ulf21ptcmo

This one only has the yellow, red and blue colours.

I have no clue what brought this one about but since someone asked for it after I thought about deleting it, I thought I'd finish it up and hand it out.

    Enjoy.

Rank pin (showing LT.) and comm badge can be found here : http://www.sharecg.com/v/75628/gallery/11/Poser/GENERATION-BEYOND-Commbadge-and-RankPin-Smartprops

PDSmith, when I try to apply the Alt Keyhole Uniform to the Defiant tunic, it keeps asking for the following files:

    Alt - Blue Uniform.jpg
    Alt - red Uniform.jpg
    Alt - Gold Uniform.jpg
    White Uniform Opacity file.jpg
    DefiantTunic bump.jpg

I'll double check the file and reload.

**** Update. I didn't load the textures in the zip file. should be fixed in a bit.

    And there you go.

Enjoy. and sorry about that. Got a lot going on in the real life.
Daughters wedding at end of the week. In-laws and relatives coming from everywhere.

Any one got a spare transporter to get me out from under the Honey-do list?

Here is the new file location. http://sta.sh/01ulf21ptcmo

Generation Beyond files are accessing to the wrong folder. I'll see what I can do to get this fixed.

    *** Fixed. ***

If anyone has a problem. please let me know here or over at DA so I get this fixed. I'm not exactly a pro when it comes to texture making so any help and pointers make a big difference.

For those that don't know, I had a second HDD set up with a fresh copy of Windows 7 and a fresh install of Poser Pro 2014. Brought the comp home on Friday and Pro crashed on Saturday. I've got Poser 9 re-installed and 99.5% of the files I created for or in 2014 opened in P9- much to my surprise.
So, this is going to happen:

It's also at vanishing point's site, you saw it up before I even knew it was up! Next bridge out should be the TOS/TNG conversion.

i wonder where and how you manage to get ship models for Poser that look good. Every Trek ship I have found usually loads in Poser with pieces missing, big holes here and there or other such defects. Even ones that were supposedly converted for use in Poser. Either I am getting the wrong models or I am doing something wrong somehow. I can never get them to look good.
