Nice job on the eyes; they fit the pose.
A suggestion I'd make - if you do an animated simulation consider making any floor surafce hidden or flag it as not participatin in the simualtion or the hair on feet can 'catch' and drag.
I think the new fur covers to equally the body it should be splitted in parts, there should be dials for all skin zones. More over double furring would be good with dials explained so we could have long white furs while the base fur is black. - atm I'm messing with this but it's a killer on the CPU/GPU.
Made with...
...I know a way to get Cat 8 to show up.
me too
I know for a fact my biggest cat would go straight for that smallest box.
Xellosz, that is super funny. Great render.
Thx, I'm planning on making funny renders with that housecat. I already have several ideas, trying dforce pillows, LIE maps, some hexagon modelling and might even put some of my own IRL painting into scenes.
ps: And I might even need to consult with the mods first, because some of the renders are might not be allowed to be posted here. (slippery jokes)
"No hoomans on the bed!"
Title: The new bed.
Son: "Ah my toy pickup!"
Mother: "Well you left it laying around...."
Fellow cat lovers, take a look at Alessandro Mastronardi' s facebook page for a preview of his new lion model--which I assume will be available here. The fur is simply gorgeous, and will look good in your most photorealistic renders. It uses the LAMH catalyzer. Sigh, if only he would make us a housecat!!!
https://www.artstation.com/artwork/2xQJOa I hope this link is OK to share
AM's modeling has improved tremendously over his years as a vendor.
...I still remember him mentioning a while back on another thread that he was working on a new domestic cat.
I remember that as well, but it was during the PA sale in 2016, so almost 3 years ago. I imagine the project was either abandoned or put on ice.
Wow! That's impressive.
I can see me spending more money, lol.
For animal figures, AM is almost always an "insta-buy" for me!
Jumping on the Band Wagon here.....didn't change much in the settongs, but upped the tesselations by 1 on the fur of the Siamese, which isn't really visoible, but I do love the natural sheen it gives the darker hair in the sunlight......
Looks really nice Stevie!
I wish there was a Daz Cat UV set for Hivewire Housecat.
It's the better cat by far.
ok i got this cat
but no hair is visible whats the problemos?
well the hair is visible in the viewport but not in the iray one
Which version of DS? Which version of the cat did you load? Are you going by preview or render?
I'mma hitch a ride here, because I've got some troubles with the Daz Housecat too. When I try to render a scene containing the cat, Studio looks for a thing called "whitesquare" which it never manages to load, and the render never actually starts. Have I deleted something?
I can not see any hair in rendering.
I can not find a document about this and can not understand reason why hairs do not show up in rendering.
How should I do !?
Are you using DS version 4.11 or higher? If not the hairs won't work.
you forgot the newspaper.
... Especially if you put newspaper in deep/brown box, and yeh the small box would be popular
Yes! I am using 4.12.
But doesn"t work.
I rather like how DAZ House Cat turned out...

That's an Iray pre-view not a render. By default the hair does not show in the Iray preview to conserve resources. Do a actual render and you will see the hair. There are instructions somewhere on what settings to change to see the hair in preview but I need to search those.
TD
What would happen if the cats would would be hoarding up items too???
