The banner is back, and again it leads nowhere.

I like it, since we can never have enough cats. but it looks alot like a certain other cat model. And I don't know if it can be used in 4.10 without the dforce hair.
I'll buy it anyways though. I'll upgrade eventually!
Hmm. So, despite the part in the desciption where it say "This product uses the Genesis 8 Male Base UV Maps", it looks to be an upgrade of the old one rather than an all new mesh. The illustrations do look pretty good, though.
It's also a bit suspicious that the listed addons are all for Millennium Cat.
As much as i love the cat. Why didn't they make it Cat 8 ? I have no doubt pa's will create some great stuff regardless but am curious why the dog became a core figure and the cat not.
Is this a strategic choice? or is there more involved for a character to become a core character?

Suspicious? The product says on the page "Best of all, any textures you already own for the old version still work perfectly, as do most poses." It's the old cat, updated to DUF format and proper scale, with fur added.
Unrelated to that, I find it hilarious that the "related products" being featured are human tongue controls.
Well if you have the banner, it's only $5. So not that big a loss, for me personally.
If the question is why THIS cat isn't Cat 8, I assume because it is an update of the old one. If the question is why we didn't get a brand new Cat 8 instead, that's a very good question :) .
Less than that if you also use the coupon. $3.91 in my cart.

Are you also buying other things that take the price down further? The coupon only knocks the cat down to $4.89 plus tax for me.
Probably because the Dog 8 product line didn't hit the sales numbers they wanted and the number of accessories and add-ons you can sell for a Cat is even more limited than for dogs.
Yeah, add another item from today's new releases and it takes it down yet another 20%.

Ah, well in my case it was the bundle (pretty sure, I have the bundle anyway), no banner/message.
I own everything cat related in the store but it’s something I will likely buy and I have had every other banner to date for stuff I didn’t want or get so it’s probably DAZ_Karma
I have the bundle.
I own Millennium Cat, too, but no banner for me either. The description sounds like it is just the old cat scaled, saved as duf and given dForce fur. I see no new breeds, poses or accessories like we got with Dog 8. This is a big let down. I suppose it is better than nothing, but now that this is released, I have even less hope for a Cat 8 on par with Dog 8.

Bought bundle years ago, but no banner. imo, LAMH would've been preferable to what's shown.
I have the bundle too and no banner for me.
There are already free LAMH presets available for the Mil Cat.
