I don't think there are any 100% original ideas!

    Dana

The "saner" the mind the less likely the original the thoughts... the crazier the mind, the greater the chances of originality.

    Example... My Bee Pants.

Thousands of bees (hornets actually) glued together into the form of fashionable pant that will help you fly... the vibrations from the wings also provide a soothing massage.

    Waffle life rafts.

A life raft fashioned from stale waffles... is edible if you are stranded at sea.

I'm not saying these are good ideas... (the bee pants definitely weren't)... but they are 100% original... Not many people are insane enough to think like that... okay... one guy, but he's not very original.

In your defense, there are ant gloves. https://sites.psu.edu/mgeitnerrcl/2013/11/16/satere-mawe-initiation/#:~:text=In%20addition%20to%20the%20pain,fully%20initiated%20as%20tribal%20warriors. surprise

Bee pants could be a modification for higher ranking members of the club.enlightened

Regarding waffle rafts.  My opinion is waffling.  But otherwise I have no comment. indecision

Hmm... I had heard something about being stung by ants as a tribal rite of passage, but I wasn't aware of the gloves...

I think I had my Bee Pants thought out all wrong... I was concentrating on the flight aspect... and I was actually trying to glue the hornets together with the wings and abdomens facing outward... which is a lot of work...

But I could avoid a lot of work if I just skip that altogether and keep the stingers pointed inward and sell them as... Manly Stinging Pants!

"Are you afraid no one is taking your manliness serious?
Do you ever question your own bravado?

Do you want to show the world you are a Manly Manly-Man?... Well, live in befuddled doubt no longer!

    Bee pants are the answer!

Why Bee pants? Well, why the hell not?

No one will doubt your manliness when they hear the angry hum of over two thousand enraged hornets screaming for revenge as they form the ultimate expression of insecurity and fashionable casual wear!

Each pair of bee pants is compromised of over two thousand angry Bald-faced Hornets capable of stinging over and over!
Bee pants are available in three sizes: Manly, Manly-Man, and Manly Manly-Man, as well as three hornet species: Bald-faced, Old world and Philippine Death Hornet... (not recommended for anyone except those who really feel the need to prove something)

Order today and get a FREE  Murder Hornet Hat and bonus Scorpion Codpiece at no extra charge (just pay a one time $167.99 authentication, registration, shipping, handling and bonusizing fee)

Man-up and get Bee Pants TODAY!"

Thanks for pointing out the ant gloves... this could be the break this product needed.

My fish Summers is not doing well. That pet can't swim well. I am afraid I will lose him soon. Mum said once if he goes and after I am allowed to go shopping with her, she will take me to PetSmart and help me get another goldfish. Is it bad that I already thought of the new name for the new fish before Summers died? I want Charley have a new friend named Erik, but I also don't want Summers to die. I love my goldfish but not sure how to help Summers.

The OMG category:  I just saw a NewEgg advertisement for a 10TB hard drive for $165.  If my math is correct, that breaks down to 1.65 pennies per GIGABYTE

    (math check:  10TB= $165  so 1TB=$16.50, 1000GB=1TB so $16.50/1000 = $0.0165 dollars = 1.65 cents(i.e. pennies)  Yep, math correct. surprisecool

In 1976, the first memory I ever had a hand in buying was an additional 8K words (16Kbytes) for a Raytheon 706 computer.  It was real core memory (teeny magnetic donuts, knitted together on spiderweb thin wires frown).  And it still cost more than a whole brand newer model Raytheon RDS500 computer with 32Kbytes of IC memory already installed.  So, we didn't upgrade the 706 and bought the new computer to add to the stable.  I'm not sure but I think the price of the new computer was around $50,000 making the cost of the old core memory about $3 per byte so a gigabyte (totally unavailable at the time) would have cost 3 gigadollars, and 10 terrabytes would have bankrupted the world.indecision

Oops, I just realized I was comparing apples and oranges.  hard drive storage vs computer memory.  Bad LG, bad.blush

OK, The first hard drive I had a hand in purchasing was in the late'80s.  It was a 1GB Seagate hard drive about the size of a baby casket, weighed about 100 pounds, and cost $10,000 so 10 terrabytes would have cost 10TB/1GB = 10,000.  10,000 times $10,000 would be 100 megadollars.  Which might have bankrupted a mini-country.

Charley the goldfish is too busy to go check on my laundry. It is important to work on being cute and swimming at the same time. I think Summers is still alive but all the fake plants are blocking my view.

Sometimes goldfish get nutritional issues... they are omnivores, but lean towards needing more plant material in their diets... If Summers seems to be having problems keeping level, it could be a problem with the swim bladder... that's a gas filled organ in fish that helps them maintain buoyancy.

You could try feeding Summers two or three thawed green peas... from frozen, not canned peas. You need to remove the skin and mush it up a bit.
Depending on how tame and friendly the fish is, you should try feeding it by hand... unless it's spooked easily, in which case you'd have to figure out how to deliver it to him.

Goldfish are inherently "dirty" fish which produce a lot of ammonia... they can tolerate terrible water conditions, but some can develop a sensitivity to ammonia... the bigger the fish, the more ammonia they produce... I think it's like 3X the amount most fish produce.

There are ammonia reducing materials (Zeolite) you can add to some filtration systems, or even special ammonia reducing filter pads... the Zeolite is a aluminosilicate mineral that converts the ammonia into harmless nitrates.

There are lots of goldfish enthusiast websites that can provide you with more details, especially in regards to diet and illness... Also look up ammonia removal for aquariums and feeding goldfish peas.

Good luck and give Summers my regards.

I think that's in the normal range.  Wouldn't call it athletic, though.  That would be 60 and lower for a resting heart rate.

what about the Dawn duckling commercial?

What's an early-rising infant anatidae doing in a commercial?

OK, googled it.  Notice that they did not show the duckling swimming in the water.  The Dawn strips the nasty oil from his feathers but also strips his natural oils from the feathers and he'd get soaked and sink and drown.  Which defeats the purpose of rescuing him.frown

Heck, I can't walk and talk at the same time.  Walk-typing would be impossible.frown

And if you're riding in a car that I am driving, don't talk to me and expect me to answer unless I'm "on automatic" heading home, because I actually pay attention to the road and drive.  I've found over the years that I'm perfectly content for my passenger to be an empty-headed chatterbox.  I just treat them like an unmutable radio.

I empathis on the driving bit.   When my son used to sometimes come with me to assist at work he would say to me  "You concentrate on the driving Mum,  and I will swear at the other drivers.

Hopefully this won't ruin the progress, but i just saw Summers swim almost like a normal goldfish. I have put both fish on a shelled pea diet. (Charley eats whatever Summers eats and Charley loves peas.) I am not sure if it is due to peas or time healing the pet. Summers seems to be more active and alert as if the pet is looking for more peas.
