I'm slightly annoyed about that. 2 hours wasted... no

    I agree with that!

I don't feel bad. Over the years they have made a LOT of money from me. I bought some stuff and was going to get more when the price changed. They made money they wouldn't have because I would have just waited till eventually I could have picked those items as freebies with a pro bundle. No PAs were affected.

we procrastinate a lot. Know I do. Guess you could say it was the ultimate flash sale intended or not.

well I can look at it this way yes missed out on an amazing deal but was still a lot BUT I've also now saved a fair bit for a few products I know that is coming out I want so I've still got money for those to look forward to which I really am chomping at the bit for like bonebreaker

Wow, yeah, I was super excited, but now my cart is over a grand.....yikes

Daz has tricked me like that 3 times in the last 6-8 months so I had a feeling that 1.99 on newish stuff was likely like those earlier glitches but had they stayed those prices for a few more hours I would have been a very, very happy camper. :p

You know eventually all those products will be available as freebies too, either with pro bundles or when they give away coupons for free Daz Originals. And now that you wishlisted everything you can spend less time sorting through them next time!

Well, I'm definitely glad I got a bargain on a couple of HD-AddOns. I still think those should be part of the pro-pack by default (what's a pro-pack without pro-details?) or at least be made PC+ at $11.99 tops or something like that.

Came a little later than usual. I can't put anything in the cart. Is attempt to fix price problem the reason? or a problem in my end?

What are you trying to put in your cart?

I tried only today's new items. Tried again and only one item (a PC+) was successful. Nothing else.

I've cleared cache, restarted, signed in and out etc. This is crazy I can't add anything more than one new pc+ item which itself was progress.

I honestly don't feel bad at all, it was around 11.00 swedish time when I got my cart out, and since pricing are usually correct after 10.00 swedish I genuinly thought it was as it should be. Was I surprised for that many items and for that price? Of course, but due to the time of the day here I shrugged it off and happily bought some of the items I have not been able to buy until now.

It seems to be working now!!!

Well, I was just thinking a couple of days back that I should cut down on my purchases here.

But that 1.99 deal just made me go abit crazy. I think I got too many items now, will have to spend ages figuring things out .......

Oh, ouch -- what a mega glitch this morning! Poor Daz and moreso any PAs who have lost revenue on their hard work as a result ,especially in these uncertain financial times sad That will be horrible news to wake up to. I filled up my cart with core figures and HD packs thinking it was a genuine blow-out sale and perhaps a sign G9 WAS coming, but it didn't feel quite right so I decided to leave the cart a few hours to make sure it was indeed genuine and not a gremlin making glitches in the Daz systems... and, evidently, it was a gremlin lol. Cart went from $174 to about $1,300 lol. Back on the shelves they all go!!

I can definitely understand a lot of people thought this was a genuine sale this time though, because it was consistent across so many DO products, and it has occured during such a crazy (see: awesome) sales period. Hopefully a few people got some amazing deals with the hand on heart belief it was all above board, but not so many carts went through that it will be a big financial hit for Daz and the PAs heart

All in all from the PAs side I know they are happy that the glitch has fixed but at the other side I think this is a way to make many customers very angry

DAZ begin the sales with 2 pro bundle at 2*$1.99 so something big was expected about half time too.

Indeed. They started with that and now they offer starter bundles at 7.99 no

  • Looks like I caught a falling knife. Woke from a stupor in the morning dark, bought my wishlist worth of it. I too thought this was Daz dumping the Ocho for the big Niner.

At least it didn't hurt the PAs since all the items were owned by DAZ

I'm well over my monthly budget already, with still a week and a half of this sale to go, and bought only two of the glitch items from my wishlist - older ones.. It was a fast buy and I never even noticed core characters were sold at $1,99 per piece..

Sort of thought it was rather strange to have a choise of over a hundred pages of items, though. (And did not feel like greedily going through that many pages.)

But yeah, the stuff I bought has now disappeared from the PC For A Day offer.

Sadly not the case, as there were a lot of Daz ft PA products impacted, such as Triple Moon Cottage by Sloshwerks. I am hoping Daz will compensate these PAs somehow, since it was totally outwith their control and this is not a good time for something like this to happen to self-employed artists cryingheart lots of people are finding it hard making ends meet with the global financial instability, so products accidently going for 94% of their price is bound to hurt.

As far as i know, those are still Daz Original and PAs recieve no extra compensation on sale. PA decide if they want their name added/removed, but Daz already bought the product in full.

I guess it depends on how many items are sold, e.g. if only one is sold 1 x $1.99 = $1.99 then this would be true, but if 1'000 item are sold 1'000 x $1.99 = $1990 ?

Ah, I didn't know that @Wolfwood. So Daz PAs can sell their products to Daz for a flat rate and then it's property of Daz and Daz take future sales proceeds? Hopefully that's the case then, and it won't have hurt the PAs heart

Yes, any item listed as "Daz Original" is the property of Daz, the original creator was paid upfront and doesn't get a cut on their sales anymore.

This is a small market, I doubt older products sell thousands of copies during big sales, even at that price.

I think the worst aspect is most of the time, when I shop the $1.99 stuff, I find things that "would be nice to have."

This time I saw stuff that "hell yes, I want that!"

The list now has a few things that I can use or "would be nice to have," but no "hell yes."

Oh, now it's just old stuff. Everything is gone. I thought it was too good to be true. I was thinking they were doing a blast out sale and were going to introduce Genesis 9 this week!

    I was thinking that too

was my first thought too, buy all this stuff then bam genesis 9

Me too! I just knew tomorrow we'd have Gen9 to wake up to.Thought they were blowing everything out!

Just for those talking about G9, here's a quote from the PC sale thread....

I thought it was some "last day before we announce Genesis 9" sale.

Nope, no G9 on the horizon I'm sorry to say.

It wasn't the first time, it won't be the last time. Let's say that was an unplanned 4-hour flash sale.
