Nada, for me... on several devices and computers... as well as 2 versions of Safari, Firefox, Chrome, IE, and Silk (Kindle Fire).
    Dead in the water.

"It's up and down like the Assyrian Empire!" :)

I managed to upload a new PDF earlier today... on the second attempt.

In Firefox it gets sometimes timed out, sometimes I get an information that it is blocked by ABE deny ...

@Kerya I haven't seen the ABE deny notice yet, but if FireFox is being accurate in that, it indicates some sort of attack on ShareCG... from what I just read about ABE is that it is meant to protect against "Cross-site request forgery"(CSRF) and "DNS rebinding", which is used for spamming and denial of services activities.

Yep, same here with FireFox; I can browse around a little, and then I do get that ABE warning.... frustrating.....

I've been seeing this all the time. I use FireFox - a rather customised one (AdBlock, NoScript, Slide Eliminator, Amazon Wishlist, Send-To-Kindle). Interestingly, I can open the site on my phone. Avira doesn't protest. But it's of no use to me, I can't download DAZ files onto my phone, obviously.

Lets hope they manage to fix the issue soon.

I've been trying for three days now, and whatever browser or computer i use (have tried machines variously equipped with firefox, chrome and i.e.), nothing can connect. I can occasionally get onto one or other of the fora, but as for posting artworks, or viewing art, nada....

I use Firefox (33.1) with just two add-ons (AdBlock and MAFF), and with ALL plug-ins disabled - i.e. no Flash, no Java, etc.
I try to access ShareCG several times every day with a success rate of about 50%, and I've not seen any "ABE deny" notice to date.*

There's now a "Can't Access ShareCG?" thread on their own forums too here http://www10.sharecg.com/wwwthreads-5.3/showflat.php?Board=shoot&Number=213141 and that's linked back to this thread.

I sent another query via their Contact form (still no reply from the first one or the email I sent) - I guess they're a bit busy...

Fingers crossed that they let us know what's going on, and get it fixed!

*The "ABE deny" notice appears to be something that the NoScript plugin throws up http://noscript.net/abe/ - is that correct?

I've used a number of website checkers (basically pinging the server) and they all report that the website is down for everyone.

It's working for me, at least for now. I just opened it up.

Down here in Italy. Move your freebies elsewhere, that place is dying.

I have checked and you can download ZIPs from deviantArt even if you are not logged in.

    Yes
    http://noscript.net/abe/

But even disabling doesn't help - in that case I just get timed out.

That's a good point. I have several reports with stuff I can't download.

Dratted shame, but you may be right about sCG: I'm not a big fan of dA myself, as it seems so overrun with adolescent AniManga fanporn and "lookit-I did-another-Anthro-elf" pencils.

Planit3D is a husk, 3DCommune is gone entirely (six years ago? seven?), and so are many of the other best sites.

The problem with ShareCG is it seems to be more or less a one or two man show... there may be a few more people involved, but from what I could gather from things said about two or three years ago when they were thinking of changing there membership model, they run it on a shoestring budget and as a spare time thing.
A while back they started getting hit by some Chinese spammers running a fake sportswear website trying to lure people in to steal CC info, it took SCG a couple of weeks to put an end to it, but after that I've always been worried some evil scumsucker with better skills and more determination would find SCG and realize what an opportunity it presents.
I really hope this is not what is happening.
I say this because last week I visited ShareCG just to check up on something, after several tries (I usually don't try much and just assume there is too much traffic), I manage to get in, but I immediately noticed a very odd looking banner add at the bottom. It looks very fishy, the resolution is terrible, its squashed and it flashes to get your attention... basically it looks like kindergarten level work and doesn't fit in with the professional looking ads that normally run on the sides. Probably its nothing, but the day I noticed it was more or less the day I noticed people report problems accessing SCG... Who knows.
I really don't think David Heller would just let the site die without saying something, but I don't think they have the available resources to fix stuff in a timely fashion... I'm just going to wait and see.

Gosh, this is really strange but also scary if I read what lordvicore saying above. Another strange thing is that at some point I can log in. In my case the last few evenings I could log in. Hopefully I will get another chance tonight and take my email and website urls out for a while in my ShareCG account, for in case it's a hacking attempt or related. Why are there always people out there wanting to destroy others? My own blog I had to stop comments option, for people to leave comments as many comments was nothing related to my art work but most porn related with links, which also spammed my email inbox. Lucky blogger has options to stop such rubbish!

Same here. It just keeps timing out for me. It would be a great loss to the Poser/DAZ community if it is really gone.

    Thanks for the detailed info!

I hope they manage to work things out if they are having problems. That's really annoying to hear some idiotic, dirt-eating spammers are making things difficult.

ShareCG Has Said It Was Just A Hardware Problem And Should Be Resolved Now

Just received a reply from ShareCG.

Nothing malicious was going on - they just had some hardware problems with their name-server. Everything should be back to normal now

I just checked, and I can access the site without any problems. If I don't have any problems over the next couple of days I'll be happy that it's resolved.

Can anybody else verify that it seems okay now?

(Edit 02:41 UTC: Just browsing around the site I've had one timeout so far, but simply retrying got past that.)

Well, login worked on the 2nd try... browsing goes a little slower as usual, but did not (yet) encounter any problems. Haven't tried downloading yet...

Several months ago I sent an email to David and was told that he's no longer there...
