Is that the same problem that plagues all FW male skins, or something new?

Did Daz ever fix any FW character that had that problem? Can you return it, since they declined to fix it?
Not to my knowledge. I would have to return a lot of characters I imagine. I haven’t submitted or looked at the latest figures. So not sure if the textures have been properly aligned. I only buy them if they are in a bundle.
I do wish that characters submitted would actually be tested with all their body parts though. Can’t imagine such a mistake getting past a product tester.
I guess they don't look "down there".
On the other hand, I've been pleasantly surprised by FWSA Edith. She came in the Alexandra bundle. Like you, I only pick up those characters in a bundle. So far I've rendered only her face. It is rendering now, and looks good to me. I haven't checked anatomical elements. I don't think I've ever rendered any nude female, for that matter.
At this point, if it's a male product I'm beginning to expect errors and issues. It really seems to me that daz is letting alot of things slide for male stuff, so they can have a reason for male stuff not selling well. Or maybe I'm just being suspicious.
I have this problem with a Redz Studio product and for a while with all the Michael 8, Lucas 8, & Marc 8 products but uninstalling and reinstalled those products & the Genesis 8 Essentials solved the problem for all of those but the Redz Studio product.
I think the Redz Studio product problem is strictly related to a bug in how the iRay settings for the skins work with geografts. It's related to that Chromatic SSS bug talked about elsewhere in the forums I think. I did open and close a ticket. It's a shame about the chromatic sss bug because it does give the skin a bit more realistic I think.
It would be pretty upsetting if I ever did nude renders outside of testing that a product works but as it is I don't care enough to pursue it's resolution, it is their products after all. I know now though to test DAZ 3D products from their store more thoroughly when I buy them.
The FW problem is a different problem.

Yes thanks for making that. Seems a sad day that we are struggling to fix something like this which seems quite noticeable and a glaring issue. And should be corrected before hitting the store.
I’ve only had one issue with red sss materials on the elements. Om Owens case I corrected the issue by applying and reapplying the pale skin shader I used on his base skin. Boyds is still very.... Interesting.
I admit I’m not a huge fan of tweaking textures. I don’t have too much render time as it is and doing test renders to make sure they look okay texture wise is time consuming

Oh, now I'm beet red after finding the right link and reading what the problem is. I'm not going to guess where the extra one was showing up at as I don't have any of that PA's Genesis 8 characters.
The bad news is the problem exists on some genesis 3 male characters too... Its been around for a while.
OK. I've a couple of that PA's Genesis 3 characters but I've never rendered them nude so it'd have to show up on his face for me to notice the problem.
I guess it'll be something to test for when I buy that PA's next character. Elizabeth for Victoria 8 I was going to buy next sale as she's me favorite realistic G8F.

I haven’t looked to see if it is an issue on female characters but I suspect not. We’d know about it by now.
Yeah, it isn't a problem on the females, those textures got correctly aligned.

Owen prepares a special valentine's day breakfast, for his favorite guy who luckily has a high metabolism and can eat all that.
I have to say that Slosh really outdid himself with that food. It all looks.... So good enough to eat. I want heartshaped waffles and a poached egg! Really an outstanding set.
I bought some Pioneer Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix and had it today & it is awsome! I spent the whole day doing a Valentine's scene today but it's not going to render in time.
Your scene does manage to look like a Valentine's scene, albiet a more modern take, with those sort of luxuries.

Food likely in Owen and Boyd’s reality is plant based and probably the egg and cream are luxury items that might cost most of a days pay for Owen.
Boyd has a sweet tooth though from his years as a tanked brain and getting a body at last means he is curious about all new experiences.
I don't get the Lord of the Flies reference in todays sale. Am I obtuse? Very unappealing market strategy.
I don't know. When they do their gore and violence promos I skip out of town as they aren't very inspiring.
The new cyborg looks awesome. His bundles and lights look good. Wish I could afford him but for now he’s too expensive for me at this time.

I can't figure out how that even vaguely applies to the contents of the sale, either. I thought maybe it was some sort of reference to Fiore's name, but it turns out that just means "flower" in Italian. And I'm not sure why you'd want that reference in a sale.
Weird thing is, it's not a gore and violence sale, at all. Apart from the free alien thing, anyway, and that's not intrinsically gory or violent.
It sort of feels like a "Well we have to call it SOMETHING" name.
Cyborg 8 looks spectacular; I wish I had some reasonable use for him. (Or even an unreasonable one.) And I like Fiore -- I like all of Saiyaness' characters, really -- but I'm not sure he's in the "buy now" group for me. (That said ... I understand the reason, given the variant textures, but the "28 anatomical elements textures" line did give me pause for a moment.)
I was talking more those aliens are gory and look more like mummies than aliens to me. I'm yuck every time I see them.
I think you all are right though Fiore's appearence is somewhat 'lord of the flies'-like with a waifish male apperance in uncivilized paint with tattered rags and has a clearly northern European / Bristish Isles phenotype. I don't consider that gory though I've never see or heard Lord of the Flies I'm talking appearance wise.
These look fantastic! I generally use FF for background textures as well. But I really like these.
