Well, in my case I got two discounts applied to Stonemasons Frontier Outpost and got it for $3.14. So I liked this more than discounts in the fast-grab percentage.
I put together a sample cart. I'm not showing any discounts for the 1 select bonus item 70% off. I bet this observation by doubledeviant is why.
If you are not, I can only suggest a ticket as if works for some and not others, it's almost impossible to troubleshoot.
If an item is in the two categories then it takes a spot in both. The store software can't decide "this one should be considered as special item and that other as featured item" when he sees both of your items, it sees more than one special item so the discount doesn't apply.
For the record, if you use an item which is in both categories as your only "special item" then both discounts will be combined for that item.
It would be simpler if there was no overlap in the categories, on the other hand that would mean no combined discounts.
Buy 3 or more Debut New Releases to get an EXTRA 15% OFF* them, an EXTRA 40% OFF* Today’s Featured Special Items,
& get up to 3 Items from Today’s Featured Artist Stores for an EXTRA 60% OFF*¥, PLUS any 1 Select Bonus Item for 70% OFF*¥
Not working properly, will give it an hour or two to see if it gets fixed, then call it quits.
Another problem with overlapping categories. The cyborg is in the bonus items and special items, so for the store software you have at least two bonus items in your cart.
In my testing, adding two of the select bonus to the cart I showed, one item went to 70% and the other got no discount.
Which items did you use? If one of them was a special item too it would get the 70% off for being in that category.
For example I tried with Aura, which is both special and bonus item, and Ruo Xi which is only bonus item ==> when I only have Aura in cart it it 91%off as it gets the discount for both categories, and if I add Ruo Xi then Aura has only the 70% off for "special item" and Ruo Xi has no discount.
You can only get the 70% off one of them. Here's the test cart with two from the Special category.
I asked Chohole to do a test cart as well.
I gave the store time to 'settle' and had another go.
I've no idea what's going on here, and I can no longer be bothered to find out. I'm sick of Daz's stupid games/incompetence/caching issues. I, like many others here, have spent thousands in the Daz store, and we deserve better than this idiocy.
You are seeing the result of a store glitch in your second cart graphic. The prices were meant to be the 40% (50% for two debut or still new) and the store glitched to higher discounts. I brought this to their attention and they corrected this.
But as I demonstrated in my test cart with two Select Bonus items, that is exactly what should happen. One gets 70% and the other doesn't. If you want Valentino, remove Aura. The 70% is limited to one item.
Well, it was still uncorrected at the time of my post above.
This sort of thing happens several times a day, every single day. When mixed with the labyrinthine sale qualifications it makes it nigh on impossible to work out what's happening, am I paying the right price or too much? And once I've bought something, will it install? Did QC even look at it? Will any of the metadata be correct? I could rant on for hours. Don't take offence Chris, I know you and the other mods take a lot of the flak for this, and I have no doubt you are doing your best.
But the constant problems when simply trying to make a purchase have finally turned me into an angry customer.
No offence taken. I certainly understand the frustration. I can only try to explain what has happened.
I don't see daveyabbo among the artists in the debut items so is not among the featured artist stores which is the category which would have the 60% discount of which you speak, so it would only have 40%. Can you show me otherwise?
As I mentioned earlier, Aura is both a "featured special item" and a "bonus item". So Aura + another bonus item counts for 2 bonus items.
Frontier outpost is bonus and special item, like Aura in my test.
"ATLAS Armored Suit for Genesis 8" is in the "Featured Special Items" category and, I suspect, the "Select Bonus Item" category. I'm tempted to give up on getting the 70% off "Select Bonus Item" and just take ATLAS for 91% off ($2.96).
(ugh, edited twice for bad edits. I should go back to sleep)
I was thinking the same thing, but then I started thinking I'm not sure I want to spend approx $30 on three items that while I kinda like them, I don't really need them...just to get an item for a deep deep discount. The buy-in is a little steep to get something I REALLY want at a low price.
I'm fairly new to Daz and now I see what's going on.
The people at Daz don't have the time to thoroughly check if a promotion offer overlaps or not,
so it's the customer's job to check each item, which takes a lot of time. This is very bad customer service in my humble opinion...
Warning that the checkout may be faulty right now.
I've just bought two Fast Grab items using PayPal. The checkout and Paypal screen showed the correct prices (total $12.88) but when my confirmation came through they were charged as full price ($42.90)
Seems to be fixed now for the ATLAS armor anyway. Good luck to the others who had this problem.
Tried a last refresh and now the prices seems to be as advertised. Daz should be able to do it correctly from the start.
Feels like its time to give up for the day and take my spending somewhere else, as it's now more than ten hours after midnight and a number of items from the Featured Artists list are still discounted incorrectly.
Genesis 3: 40% off, should be 52%
Genesis 2: 40% or 52% off, should be 58%
Genesis/M4/V4: 40%, 52%, or 58% off, should be 67%.
A new PC+ release, Universal Dress: Brass and Bows, just lost its PC+ discount and jumped to $12.95.
