The GIF looks like a combination of the Blender logo and one or more Autodesk logos (Maya, Max, Motion Builder, etc.).

I'm thinking more bridge capabilities to other 3D programs for Daz content.

Maybe "freeing" HD morphs? LOL probably not, but it's a nice thought.

I’d say that’s the most logical conclusion.

That thing is the same as the icon for the Maxon3D twitter account (https://twitter.com/maxon3d), just in uglier colors.

Can't believe I didn't pick up on that, given how much of my time I spend in C4D.

My Guess is that there may be a big clue here (look at compatible software): https://www.daz3d.com/spuggles-special-edition-inactive-test-content

Almost certainly new software bridges, which is great.

I spotted a DAZ representative comment on the Youtube channel of a developer who'd created a Daz to Blender bridge asking him to contact them to open discussions.

Although, maybe they should just snatch up Diffeomorphic?

Daz to Blender bridge? I just perked up. Now, if HD is preserved, I'll be SOOOOOO excited! :D

They already tried, and Thomas Larsson (creator of that addon) turned them down. Kind of too bad, since his addon seems far more robust than Mitchy's (I'm assuming that's the dev you were referring to). Still, it'll be nice to have an official option included with Daz in the future.

It's probably a bit of a "crystal ball" question but, if there is going to be a DaztoBlender bridge or plugin, where does that leave the free plugins that are already available?

Thinking the same. From a customer perspective, I would be thrilled to see this. From the perspective of how that will make it easier for DAZ to lose even more of their assets to piracy, not to thrilled. Guess we'll see.

I guess those who want to continue using them can - I don't see any reason why they couldn't. Personally, I don't mind paying for a bridge IF I'm not an unwilling beta tester. If I'm paying, I expect it to work right out of the box ;).

I'm hoping that "bridge" means we'll be able to export figures from Daz *and* bring them back in (with, for example, animation, modified textures, new morph targets, etc.). Existing options seem to focus solely on export.

Lower calorie software?... Fat Free, Gluten Free, Sodium Free, Sugar Free, GMO Free and 100% organic polygons grown in the Peruvian highlands and ethically harvested with cruelty free bulldozers.

    That's what I'm hearing.

I would think that since Blender is open source, folks would have no problem still using them. Please correct me if I'm wrong on how open source works though.

Yeah, I'm just sitting here thinking of all the ways in which something can be a Daz to Blender Bridge, without being a Daz to Blender Bridge. It's probably a 3D model of a bridge.

And as we already have a few more choices just due to the inspiration and perspiration of others, it had really better blow my socks off, or else I'll just stay with Mr. Larsson and Co who have been extremely responsive to users' needs and have a tremendous amount of good will earned.

or they are releasing Blender versions of content enlightened

I still dearly wish they would fix compatibility with Carrara though but that is a bridge the don't want to repair, cryingPoser? think they blew that one up both ends.surprise

    typos and autocorrect fixed
