ok, this one i can't really avoid the rant really srry.
ok, let me say, while i don't mind too much a new character bundle come with "some old outfits", i really hate when that "outfits" are already part of another bundle, please daz you can stop to add "stuffs" from another bundles???, it's make feel like "buying 2 times the same stuff if i go for both bundles, if i could get a "discount based on the "already owned stuffs" then fine but since we don't get one is really annoying see like 2 of the 5!!!! (90% are old) are "outfits which already come from another bundle, please, don't do that, if you want to add "old stuff" ok but really don't be so bad in adding "stuffs from already existing bundles" it make daz look a lot lazy or greedy, specially since again we don't get any "discount" in a bundle if we already have anything from that bundle before buy the bundle.
ok after the rant, the character look overal, the new outfit really look amazing but i can see it being "really a lot high poly" based on the insane ammount of details, which make it pointless for me, the only reason i would buy it would be maybe for 2 outfits (because some of then i already have the poly count and know which they are high) and one character, which now thinking better it only have 1 character and 1 hair which is another d-force hair which don't work outside daz making this bundle good only if you want to buy a bunch of props ( 5 scenes props 1 weapon props) and maybe 2 renders filters, the outfits are only good if you don't already have neither

ofcourse only if you buy the mega, in case you buy only tara bundle then you get her, 1 hair, one outfit, outfit textures and a pose set, which would be a best deal in many cases than the big bundle, in worst case scene in case you are using outside daz you can use the time/chance to buy the interactive licese for the big bundle and get all the licenses you would need in a big run then buy the stuffs you still missing from the mega apart.

I do find this inclusion of earlier stuff distracting. But perhaps the Mega bundle is good value for some.
I got a lot more discount because I own a good chunk of the bundles outside of the new Tara stuff. Accounting for the $50 store credit, it's a pretty good deal for me.

(the one where she's winking) really triggers the uncanny valley for me.

How much of this bundle has already been released? Five? Hounds Guard outfit and textures, Asteris outfit, Delta outfit I think, and haven't I seen Path Between the Cliffs before?
I only own three of the above, so I may still be tempted, but it's a worrying trend methinks.
So confused over this. Already a new character and with three choices of which bundle to get up to $125! And old outfits many already own inside these bundles with a purple banner giving us only a small percentage off? Not into this new marketing test at all! The big bundle has mostly textures which can be purchased dirt cheap in many sales. The other two bundle deals come with little bonus incentive and I didn’t even check what they were. Just looking at this at first glance, I’m not seeing any deal worth jumping on.
That said, I do like Tara. A very interesting and quirky character. Not quite toon, but not realistic. I know I’ll get her eventually but probably not in this particular deal unless I’ve missed something.
Or maybe if a mod sees a whole bunch of complaints about the same thing, he/she could mention it to the marketing department?

It’s not being marketed as a pro bundle. It seems it’s like those other non-pro bundles, like the sci fi one a little while ago, where if you owned some of the products, you get a discount off them, kinda like those ‘staff picks’ bundles.
i get a purple banner that offers 8% off the mega, and 15% off the fierce adventure bundle. I don’t get a purple banner offering anything for being a pro bundle collector, even tho I have got them for the last few pro bundles released.
I thought linday for the outfit too. I actually thought of xtrart’s ‘leonora for g3’ character when I saw this Tara (can’t work out how to stick a link here on the iPad)
The 20% off Pro bundle collector banner was under the other purple banner, but I got 2 banners for this one.
It's the ninth that triggers it for me: the one where she's smiling, and her teeth appear to be growing out of her bottom lip.
But you have to spend $125... Well, minus a small percentage for what you already own.

i suck at math. Extra 20% off mega bundle, plus 8% off it. It’s $122.48 (gadzooks!) on the store page, so what should my price be?
After all the banner stuff (and the discounts for what I owned), the big bundle was $66 for me in the cart.
So in that case, the $50 store credit is a nice deal.
I already own at least half the World bundle, so without the store credit, there's no way I'd buy that bundle.
So, just to be clear, Tara comes with the large and small bundles. Not the medium one. If I'm reading this right.
Wait, are the scars on the side of her face there by default? There’s no version of the skin without them?
With a double purple banner (20% off as collector and 40% off Mega Bundle due to owning half of it) and a $50 rebate, the Mega Bundle comes out to a net of $8.79 for Tara 8, Tara Hair, Tara Outfit and Textures, Black Market Blades, Olive Grove, Mediterranean Shrubs, Monochrome Edition Lights, and two Jefferson AF scenes. It looks like Daz confuses themselves with these sales machinations (since it took over an hour to get the right items in the bundle).
The Tara Outfit looks like Linday. I hope they're getting Luthbel to do Holt 8's outfit. I'd rather have one uber-quality outfit in a "Pro" bundle than four pieces of hard drive jetsam. Her morph seems like it overpowers the other Core Figures in the combination render. She's a bit stylized for my tastes---like Ninive 6 (whom I love) went feral---but she should mix well at lower percentages.
70% off five PA items and 86% off five DO items makes this a useful deal to me.
It came out to $82 for me. Still doesn’t feel like a great deal to me. The items I own are the more expensive ones and I think they just divide it equally when giving you a percentage off. I do like the character though. I don’t know, we’ll see...
I don't see any options for makeup, non-scar, etc.
There's 1 "Skin" file (All Maps), skin settings for translucency, Lips options... that's it for skin. (Not counting eyes, brows, lashes, etc.)
She is very stylized in the viewport.
The deals are a little confusing. With my discounts the basic Tara Bundle plus the Shrubs and the Olive Trees comes to $46 and change and gets me $10 store credit and two discounts that aren't worth it to me. But the Tara Mega Bundle includes the Shrubs and Trees and sits in my cart at $66.63 and gets me $50 back in store credit plus a 70% discount that I can actually use (already picked the Select Explorer DOs clean over the years).
So it might just be easier to pop things into the cart and see how the math works out. It's a high up front cost though that might make the deal impractical for some (spend $66 today and get $50 in store credit tomorrow isn't the same as spend $16 and be able to eat until next pay day).
Oh wow. So the skin doesn’t have a non- scar version...meaning she’s not versatile at all. You really can’t use the skin on another morph unless you want a warrior, or a scarred character. And no makeups - I mean, you can use LIE makeups obviously, but for the character alone you are paying the same price for a core g8 character....and getting waaaaay less options on the figure.
Is she Tara 8 though.
8 appears in the blurb but is not part of the character's name.
It works for folks like me with store credit.
Or would if I had sufficient use for the items, I don't. I even own one of the items already.
... It's a pass.

Other than the face, the skin looks too bland, almost toony.
I got both purple banners, but I am only interested in the smallest bundle.
Does anyone know, whether the katanas and their sheaths can be removed from the outfit, please?
i like the new character for being more different than the last 6 or so females which all looked mostly the same.
but not sure what the bundle is. owning half of what's in it already makes buying the bundles a bit... pointless? a shame, because i think the character is quality enough to have earned a proper bundle.
When the Walk the Plank and Return to Treasure Island bundles came out they did do a discount as a banner but you had to have previously bought the other bundle first. In my case I had previously bought Sahira 8 so I got the banner.
I think that was a fair way to handle it.
In this case if you want both bundles you can get the other pro bundle for around $19 with the discount so I don't really mind.
This set does look very good to me overall and will most likely buy it.
Katanas, Katana sheaths, Daggers, Dagger sheaths are all separate items.
(There are also poses for the weapons in the hands.)
