It was not designed to be dForced.
That depends on how you are paying for the bundle (and on your point of view). For me I'd be buying the bundle with already existing store credit and the $50 rebate would simply be replenishing it and the net result is exactly the same as if I got the bundle for $50 less directly.
It's confusing whether Tara is a core character or not... but then again the distinction between core character regular character is entirely artificial anyway, so it really doesn't matter. Just get any character - core or otherwise - when you think the actual net price is fair, not based on how much % you're getting.
Tara looks nice enough but I won't be getting her. She reminds me of Aria, who's on my wishlist and whom I prefere. The outfit looks cool though, it's going on my wishlist!
since some peoples already have bought the new outfit then here's the "common question i normally make
what is the poly count of the outfit?
https://www.daz3d.com/tara-outfit-for-genesis-8-females
the weapons and sheath sepparated from the outfit count if possible
also for the other too if possible since we are here

as aways the "base value not the high resolution one.
If you're that worried about polycount, perhaps this might be of use to you? https://www.daz3d.com/decimator-for-daz-studio
it is still something useful to know and should be listed IMO other professional sites do such as Turbosquid.
Hard pass. One purple banner at 16% for the World bundle = $103 up front. The Tara Outfit's kitbash potential looks to be hampered by multiple pieces being lumped into one garment (there aren't separate armor pieces listed for the forearms and legs, just "gloves" and "boots"). Tara "8" herself comes with a core character's hefty price tag but none of their versatility. I've got no use for a waif masquerading as a fighter, and can't justify buying her for the materials as I've done many times before because those are so minimal. Even with the release discount she's more expensive and far less complete than lots of top shelf PA characters.
The landscape elements I do want are far cheaper to buy individually, and the top tier category discount buy-in is ludicrous even though I've got lots of high priority wishlist items in there.
"It's not a pro/core bundle" doesn't hold water as an excuse for using old products after Honni, and the underhanded "Tara 8" marketing to imply that she's worth core character pricing when she clearly isn't really rubs me the wrong way. She's a lot more disappointing for me than Honni was, because I love fantasy and landscapes and actually wanted to find some sort of Daz math that would make the bundle worthwhile.
I agree... The store can't even get the textures included correct. Lots of items say they have normal maps but don't.
I can tell you the ones I have already. I can also tell you that I downloaded one of the items from the artist who created the Tara outfit from Artstation and a simple Jacket had 600k polys, that mixed with posts of slowdown with the outfit tell me it's pretty heavy!!!!
I've added my export for Immortals and Delta (I have them from the Darcy and Tasha pro bundles)
I would imagine Hounds and Asteris outfits will be similar to the values I've posted (based on other outfits by those PA's) Boots, Belts and Hair are generally very heavy.
decimator is horrible for my type of work, if the outfit is "too high" and you use it, it can easy "break the outfit weight influence and also morphs, i've tried it few times and while maybe for "daz" it could work outside daz it is pretty bad if you are trying to animate, maybe for some "poses" it can work, but overal it in my experience was pretty pointless to use and a waste of time, maybe if they make some updates and improviments like the reallusion CC3 version then maybe it could be good but it in his current state its pretty bad, and would only help if you have to reduce something like at best 15%( in some cases already get messed), anything above it and you start to get really messed results.
and it have a limite on "how much it can reduce from a outfit or hair, stuffs which are like let's say "above" 300k or 400k + decimator will be limited to reduce at best to like 100k and it will be a really messed stuff, full of influence and morphs broken all over the outfit.
Nothing fancy. Took out her scar, blended with Honni 8, added on top of Centaur, used a few older pieces (plus the really old MP Cyclorama).
Render in progress. Kayo dialed in 100% and Lanuola's skin.
Does anyone know if you get the store credit if you use store cdredit to buy the bundle? The rule has always been that you can't buy store credit with store credit.
You can't buy gift cards, but the fiat store credit granted for special offers is added to your accounts differently.

lol, ty it's really lot high it would not work use like the decimator on that, it reduce even more the mega bundle usage for me, reducing a one character and maybe 3 outfits.
Weird, I just loaded Tara and her hair, and looked at them with ManFriday's dForce Companion. Why are her eyebrows dForceable? That has to be another mistake LOL
This is only a guess, but they're probably strand-based rather than fibermesh, and that's the simplest way to make them workable for more than one character, I expect.
Moving Tara into the American West. (A number of dial spins as well.)
If it is of interest, the issue with the Interactive License is now resolved. All the bundles can now be bought at $5 rather than the two bigger ones at $50. I didn't notice before purchase, but that was the case after purchase.
Not sure I'll ever use the Tara character, but I really like how the almost practical Tara outfit looks. Here I have Mousso's Chanel modelling it (and the Tara hair), using one of the poses from the bundle.
After posing, I got some poke throughs and not all were easily fixed. The gloves kind of disappeared around the fingers and there's no way to adjust just that part of the gloves, so I added another short fingerless glove from another product to make it look better.
I also wonder why the two sword sheaths are of different lengths when the swords are just two copies of the same sword?
Tara with Kayo dialed in and using Lanuola's texture against the Mountains of Altair
Oh I agree! I can FEEL the chill! Love the coat!
