The horrible thing about getting old is my stupid resistance to learn new things. :blank:

I WANT to learn to model I WANT to kick ass in VFX, but my damn brain fights back!!!!

When I was young I could learn a new skill in days.. now it's weeks... wtf.. :blank:

I hate time. Time kills everything.

Subdivision modelling takes some practise in the sense that a lot depends upon the planning you did for it. Best advice is for subD is what MFM mentioned, make sure you start with a small number of poly's and those only in strategic places. Plain old poly modelling is a little more WYSIWYG :)

I'm just thankful for UNDO - I did a LOT of model/subd/examine/unhappy/undo, very educational but a slow process. :blank:

The little modeling I've done - and this was WELL over 12 years ago - was using Lightwave at work or Inspire3D (Lightwave Lite), pure poly modeling with a lot of cut/tesselate/extrude/move kind of things going on. SO"ME of it is still in my head, but... it's goiung to be a slow learning process. Thank heavens for YouTube tutorials!

Got home late. Was an accident or something on the road home. Sat there in a long line, mostly in the dark, for around 15 minutes before we got moving again. When we came around the corner there were firetrucks and etc, but also a truck that seemed to have been on fire. Hood was up, and stuff.. Smelled like gas around it... No other car or anything so it wasn't a wreck...

Aaarh, all tired and stuff... No time for nap either because work soon... Urf. All of the bleh.

Weird - maybe an engine fire or something, those are nasty.

Ugh, I hope you can get some rest!

I really want to go through one of those car wash places that have all the cool stuff while I sit in the car and watch, but first I need to get a plate for my car, but before that I need to get insurance for my car, before I can really afford it I need a regular job that will guarantee that I can afford the monthly insurance. Right now I do not have steady income that is guaranteed to be enough for car insurance. I also need to work on my hoarding problem which is causing me to collect things but I have a therapist who is going to help me with that, but it takes time.

So basically I need a job and to work on my hoarding problem so I can go through a car wash.

Starting to get the hang of using the TransPose tool though. That's something at least :)

Aaah, think that's enough for the night. Getting all tired and it's hard to think. Drawing's not coming to me well either. Put my stylus to the tablet and them bam - can't do anything.

For what it's worth, I think it looks pretty good! Maybe you just need to step away for a bit...

It's FRIDAY and it's PAYDAY and I have some content money for Vicky's Diner! :) I think the short-order cook outfit, Vicky isn't going to cook everything herself...

    BUT...

    ...IT DOESN'T MATTER..

    COMPLAINT TIME! :blank:

    - Have to make bank run in 95f heat no clouds and 70% humidity
    - NO INTERNET AT THE HOTEL THIS MORNING :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh:
    - - Lunch will come out of the cold junk food machine
    - Shoulders still hurt - time to find a massage therapist :long:
    - Should not have eaten hot salsa at lunch yesterday :smirk:
    - Not enough money to buy all I want

    Non-complaints:

    - Fresh coffee and nice cld milkie :)
    - Should be a quiet day at work
    - Hotel says someone is coming to look at the router (whew)
    - Cheezeburger for lunch! :cheese:

With any luck, the router at the hotel will be working when I get home tonight so I can grab my content. Worst case, I can non-DIM download the files here, then USB stick 'em home. :blank:

Sometimes, I wish I can fast forward through the stupid radio commercials on my MP3 player. Most of them are fine or funny but there are a number that just get under my skin. Those are the ones I want to avoid
There's a car dealership that has a pilot announce that he's diverting the plane so he can get a new car and the passengers just cheer. And for some reason that annoys the tar out of me, cause no one would be happy if their flight was changed like that

Also, I haven't been able to play in Daz since Monday, this week has been so busy. I hope this weekend is calmer so I can put in work on my story

Here is Sam with a flat top hair do.

Sam? Toon Sam? Oh, did they make a Genesis version of him? I forget, but it seems to be a vague recollection.

I rather like the new one they did for Dawn, Willow. Really cute. I don't normally go for the toon stuff, but I did get Cookie and Chip. And if I had the money I'd pick up Lil Bit.

    Dana

No Sam is short for Samantha. It is actually Aiko 5 but changed her name to Sam.

    Sam looks good :)

Does she look better with the short hair or the long hair?

I like the long hair better.

Programming computers *can* be fun, and it's so easy to do now.. lots of free tools to let you write code in several languages, TONS of help and tutorial sites dedicated to programming, and you can write anything from Java apps to Web apps to hardcore 3D programs.. all for free! :cheese:

After 35 years, I'm starting to get a little bored with it,. but it took a while! :P

** Ful disclosure.. I'm a born geek, Dad was an engineer, so I had an unfair head start.

complaint: relatives are asking me to buy stuff for them. I'm like, use your own debit card. Yes, the'll give me money, but I need to go to the bank to deposit their checks and wait for the checks to clear. Grr, extra step. Hope the bank doesn't call me because I buy expensive electronic products - possible suspicious activity?? I'm supposed to use money in the bank to pay off my student loans, but noo..

Today is a pain and I feel it in my PANTS
Go look out people 'cause I gotta lotta RANTS
Wanna drink a lot of booze 'til I get up and DANCE
Stagger round, hit the ground, sleep behind some PLANTS

It's hot and nasty outside is looking GRITTY
Gonna jump on the bus and head into the CITY
I'm fresh outta cash and you know that it''s a PITY
I need a second like like the famous Walter MITTY

Stomach is aching and my guts begin to CHURN
Could be spasms or a killer heart BURN
I wanna go out, 'cause for beer I really YEARN
Hit the bar or see the strippers? That's my only CONCERN

I'm bored in my gourd so I'm laying down the RAP
I can rhyme all the time even when I feel like CRAP
My brain is down the drain and it's in the sink TRAP
Get a laser with a Taser and give my tail a ZAP

    (record scratches here)

I went to print out some spare sheets for the street inspectors. I told the computer to print 40. For some bizarre reason, it decided to double that. o_O??

The computer also decided to reboot itself sometime after I told it to print, cause I had to log back in. No idea when as that station is behind me

I agree. Many times when I take a break, things will start moving when I come back. You get a fresh outlook that way.
