I am surprised you say that, because 80%+ of the clothing that has been released there in the last 3 years or so has been for Genesis 8 Female, and so would work in DS, but not in Poser.
Correcting the verbiage here, since there is an actual long time user from both here and Hivewire who goes by "MissB". Miss B is fine. It's Lisa Buckalew, who sold here under Lisa's Botanicals, who is in the hospital.
My recollection of Hivewire's announcement was that they would no longer carry items that supported DAZ products. Maybe that only meant they would no longer have products for DAZ's characters, Victoria, Michael, etc. That remains my recollection until someone can provide a quote from that announcement that contradicts my recollection.
this may clarify it all...
Hivewire Link... not that it matters now.
@Stezza beat me to it.
OK folks, it's been a very long time since I posted here in the Commons, but I need to set a few things straight.
First, I am NOT sick, so not sure where Ron Knights came up with that idea. As Lissa_xyz stated, it's one of the owners of HiveWire 3D, namely Lisa Buckalew, who has been hospitalized. Her wonderful products are found under the Contributing Artist (Vendor) name of Lisa's Botanicals. For those of you who have been members here for a long time, you will remember her wonderful flowers, plants and trees when she sold them here at DAZ3D.
As far as the HiveWire 3D store closing, No. It's just moving. All of HiveWire 3D's products will be joining those HW3D products already in the Renderosity store, and that's were any new HW3D products will be found going forward. We were losing some of our staff, including the head of our Quality Assurance Verification team, who as of today is retired, they felt if they needed to keep creating wonderful products for folks to enjoy, they couldn't successfully do it, and still manage the store, which takes a lot of time and effort.
Lastly, Ron Knights' comment about HiveWire 3D no longer supporting DAZ products, that is incorrect, as a good many of the HiveWire Contributing Artists create for both Poser AND DAZ Studio. What they decided to do a while ago was to only have products in their store that supported the HiveWire characters, and other characters as long as the main focus of the products were for HiveWire characters.
I hope that clears things up for you folks.
Basically this link echos what I recalled about Hivewire's decision. https://community.hivewire3d.com/threads/refining-our-direction-at-hivewire-3d.3544/
This partial quote seems very clear to me: "We will be retiring products for Daz/Poser figures unless the product also has a version for our HiveWire figures such as Dawn or Dusk. Note: There will be a few exceptions to this that will be staying in the store."
Miss B, sorry I got you mixed up with Lisa B.. I hope you are well.
That does not state they discontinued support for Daz/Poser flagship figures. That states that support would continue as long as there's an equivalent for a Hivewire figure included.
A Genesis 8 Female product alone would not be sold.
A product containing versions for both Genesis 8 Female and Dawn, for instance, would be sold.
It's a moot point at this point though anyways as it's all going to Renderosity.
Again, I wish you all the best. I'm done here.
Thank you Miss B for popping in and clarifying things!
My pleasure Rich. I prefer when folks know all the "correct" facts in situations such as this.
I downloaded all my stuff I had which was a surprisingly large amount
but I holding off buying any more until they are established at Renderosity or elsewhere depending on the artist
I was not going to buy last minute purchases and have to download them before lost
Fixed that for you.
Sorry to be a bother, but could anyone tell me how to get the account number? I think I have looked everywhere.
Getting your Ken Gilliland purchases to Hivewire:
No account number needed ... but now that the store has closed, you will have to wait until he has moved to Renderosity ...
Oh, thank you, I had read that, but it conflicted with where he said the account number would be needed. I hope the transfer to Rendo will be seamless and he won't be flooded by emails from impatient people (like me).
I just logged into my hive wire account to see this would have been the amount of points I would have if they didn't close.
2020 was the worst year in the history of the world.
1350 they might disagree
Rest In Peace in peace hivewire? Just noticed that is what the title says basically.
RIP could also stand for "Raise Irrational Porcupines", "Read Ivanhoe Provocatively", "Ride Incontinent Ponies", "Run In Pantaloons", "Repent Indecent Propositions", "Redecorate Intimate Paraphernalia " or "Radicalize Intergalactic Penguins"...
Not disagreeing, just offering alternate possibilities because it's fun to make up stupid acronyms for stuff.
Oso3D pointed this out too
I'm trying to download some of the stuff from my Hivewire3d library but some stuff has errors.
If you can't download some files, please file a support ticket indicating the products you are having trouble with.

Not for me. I am expecting 2021 to be a bad/worse year personally for many reasons. I just lost my Mom to COVID 2 days ago, so off to a great start.
OMG I'm so sorry. I hope you have people near you, physically, who can help. I know that's harder to have these days, but at least keep in touch with those who are close to you online.
I made the mistake of increasing my isolation when my Mom left us. It doesn't work.
We need to share, and keep sharing feelings and memories for as long as it takes. It reminds us that our Mom, Dad, etc, are still here, in various ways that will always be important.
Take care!
-Ken
I am so sorry. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
Deepest sympathies and hugs to you, FSMCDesigns
