Two pounds in three weeks isn't bad.yes   If you examine my chart below, you can see that over-time I lose 5 pounds in about 40 or 50 days.  Lots of bouncing up and down, but everytime I bounce up I link it to some way in which I've violated my rules and pay particular attention to them until I get below the trend line (light blue line) calculated by the spreadsheet.

    My rules?

    One big meal per day.

Smaller portions every meal.  (half a bowl instead of full, half a potato instead of whole)

Lock the candy away.  Or at least only bring out two or three for the day.

No full candy bars.  Only the miniature snack bars.

NO POTATO CHIPS!!!  (sends me 5 pounds up by time the bag is finished.  And the salt's not good for me either)

Eating out is allowed.  But the day after is not permitted a big meal, only small ones.

Yeah, it's frustrating, I like to eat and I particularly like large bowls of soup, chili or potato & gravy or rice & gravy.  And as Basil Fawly had said regarding his wife's opinion of his gambling habit: "That avenue of pleasure is no longer open to me."

Pizza is OK, but only less than 1/6th of a "large".  Never two slices.

My shaking has been around for perhaps a year but had become really noticeable during the last few days.  And I'm a little danger to myself if I'm handling a long knife.  My hands may be shaking only imperceptably at the finger tips.  But out at the end of a butcher knife or a long screwdriver, the tip is waving menacingly.surprise  Trying to put a small screwdriver tip into a small screwhead is like trying to push two northend magnets together, they just don't want to unite.  I have to use both hands, one on the handle, one on the tip, guiding it in place while both hands are stabilized on something close-by

A good portion of my weight is water weight. They had me on one med in my pump and I put on 65 lbs. Took me off I lost 50 of it in 1 month. Put me on a derivative of that med all the weight came back. Now I'm at 254 and it didn't come off when they took me off of that med and put me on my current med. I'm joining a gym next month so hopefully that will help me out. Gonna be funny to see my disabled butt working out being as I'm restricted to lifting 5lbs because they are afraid I'm herniate another disc and end up needing another fusion. I already can't bend very far because of the fusion. It's at L5-S1 so basically the waist so I physically can't bend because the vertebra are fused together. It's funny watching me try to thread a needle or trying to put the tip of the screwdriver into the screw head. I hit everywhere round it.

I put something in my cart to see what my discount would be.  Then I added the daily freebie.  Both items ended up being free!

Non-complaint:  Yay! My weight loss program is proceeding.  I was without a bathroom scale for a few weeks (cheap digitalfrown)  So, I bought a little better cheap digital scale and it arrived a couple days ago.  I can now report that I was 205.8 before I lost the scale and I didn't get a daily dose of reality so my eating habits regressed.  My new scale which arrived a few days ago showed me at 206.9, two pounds up.sad  But at least I had kept it relatively steady during the scaleless period.  So a couple more days of 206.9 then 205.5 then I got sick for a full day.  No vomiting, just pain and no energy.  Still sick this moring and the scale now says 203.1.  I had lost 2 and half pounds (a little over a Kilogram) in 24 hours.  I have experienced a two pound increase in a day but had never lost more than about a half pound in a day.  I know I didn't crap that much, so where did it go?  Did I experience a stealth crap?  Regardless, I'm now under 205 and heading for 200 (wheee...), the 2nd major goal (220 was the first).  Yay!smiley

Complaint:  I'm still sickish.  Back hurts, head hurts, joints hurt, but stomach has settled.  Also, I notice that my hands are no longer steady.  I shake quite a bit when doing simple things like lighting a match or handling tweezers or small screwdrivers.  I have to place my palm or one of my fingers on a stable object to keep steady enough.  I hope it's just a symptom of the virus running through me.  I don't like not being able to do fine work easily.sad

Hope you feel better soon. You should get checked by a doctor and tested for COVID and for flu ASAP.

    ...indeed on both accounts.

I had a package saying it was delivered to my home, but by the time I went to check for it, it wasn't there.  I don't know what happened to it.  It was only 15 minutes or half an hour that it could have been outside.

Never trust talking parcels or other talking inanimate objects... I had a shoe tell me it was going to make me a sandwich once... did I get my sandwich?

No... No, I did not... Of course if the package contained something that could talk, like a clown or sentient octopus, that's something else...

Still, I wouldn't go by an octopus' word as they are very unreliable in estimating travel time... or time travel either.

I hope you get your package back or find it.

I once had FedEx say my package had been delivered, but it was not there. A day or two later, after I had already told Google I didn't receive my sentient cockroach, an Octopus showed up at my door and said the package had arrived at his home instead of mine. I'm pretty sure this really happened. But the cockroach might have been a Chromecast and the Octopus may have been a random guy who went out of his way to get me my box.

Hmmm..., I'm not sure if you have vision problems or hallucinations.surprise  Or perhaps some contagious disease.  Do you live anywhere near McGyver?

I don't know where McGyver lives but I tend to pay special attention to people who are good at sneaking insight into unassuming places. I don't think I have any vision problems or hallucinations but I do see things in strange ways. Maybe that would be considered a vision problem. And I don't think I have any diseases but something made me sign up for that discord chat room.

In general, parallel worlds are usually referred to as science fiction, which I don't understand... I see parallel worlds belonging to our everyday life, as everyone of us is living in a world of their own and nobody knows what anyone elses world looks like and/or what kind of laws of nature are in effect in there.

We can mutually agree on sun being 'yellow', but we do not know if my yellow looks the same as anybody elses yellow, or if I would call someone elses yellow crimson red.

You should move to this side of the pond, the gateway problems are rare and don't remember having one this week, maybe take the poor gerbil with you and have him nurtured back to health just for few $ admission fee.

So true.laugh  He was at his zombie-ish best in the "Barny Miller".yes

Also it could be this guy:  Mark Twain who once addressed an audience with something like this.  "The reports of my demise are greatly exaggerated."

All us mods have them throught the whole day. Here in the states and across the pond. Almost always at the same time. They seem to be getting worse too. We are either getting 504, 502 or very long load times which makes keeping up very hard. We already work very long days and all this makes them seem twice as long.

That is basically my belief about multiple dimensions. Rather than there being multiple versions of everything that are not in phase with each other, I think there is just one version of everything that everybody sees through a different lens. A man, that I used to spend tme with, was disappointed with this theory because he liked to believe there was some dimension in which there was a version of he and I that were actually good.

...crazy weather in the old hometown today.  Upper 60s...in December...in Wisconsin (currently 67 at the Milwaukee Airport at 30 min past midnight).  That big storm system with extremely high winds and the risk of more tornadoes is passing though the state right now with the front just west of Milwaukee,  They're getting 50 mph+ winds there at this moment.

LOL! I'm at 40 so you are deffinitly colder than us, but we do get into the -0's F during most of the winter except on days like today that it's 64F and rain. A new record for us. They don't cancel school till it hits -15F because a lot of our students walk to school.

    ...cute, love it.

    Non Complaint.

Just  had the new chair mat I ordered delivered, right to my apartment door (love Prime™ shipping), Tempered glass rated to 1,000# so should be last a long time as long as I don't drop something like a hammer or pliers on it.  Weighs something like 60# but was easy to slide out of the packing carton and slide to the desk on the low pile carpet in my place (similar to office carpeting). Was a bit of an expense (50$ on sale from 79$) but it received high rating from usurers (including one fellow who weighs 265#), so it should last better than those 25$ vinyl and PVC ones that eventually start cracking in a year or two and which you have to weight down to get it to flatten out which can take several days (as they always come rolled up).  Nice having my chair be able to roll more freely again.. No longer have fear of tipping over backwards when moving back from the desk.

I've tipped over one to many times before. The wife has done it more than I have though so not the only klutz in the house.

...yeah if that happens I'll have to try and reach up for my phone on the desk and call 911.for an ambulance as I'd likely mess up my back even worse than it already is.

I have a nice very stable high back chair that I can even lean back in and it doesn't feel unstable. However trying to move back when I was still on te carpet was another story as is the wheels leave a depression in the carpet after a couple hours
