9:47 am here, and it's currently 7F, and feels like -12F. :ahhh: It's not going to be a fun day here. I have to do more shoveling. I forgot to clear a path to the fire hydrant yesterday. I need to do the back, too, and put some seed in the bird feeder. I should clear the deck, too, because I don't want a lot of weight on the deck. It's going to rain heavily on Sunday. I have to see if there's a way I can get some of the snow off the roof, too. I'm not sure that will happen. Not a good day at all. That's my complaint.

Non-complaint: It's National Cherry Pie day. I'm going to pick one up if I can. :)

Being diabetic sucks, but at least it's under control. The good news is, a couple of bites won't hurt me, so if I can find someone else to eat the rest I could get a slice! :cheese: I tested it.. doesn't bounce up too high at all.

It's Friday, Friday! But, still... :blank:

    Complaints:

    - 20F this morning
    - Rain tonight and tomorrow morning
    - Sunday high 34F low 18F and probably snow :shut:

    Non-complaints:

    - Dead at the office so getting work done
    - Payday! Money left over.. what to buy, what to buy...
    - Should be 54F and sunny Saturday afternoon
    - A BURGER MADE WITH CHEESE for lunch!

Decisions, decisions.. I have a backup HD right now, do I need another? It's barely 1/2 full, probably not - I just need to get organized. Don't really need more content, either. :blank:

I tried re-installing Vue and it runs so slow it's not even funny. I wanted to make landscapes for album and track art (DS isn't so great for that).. Bryce Pro is dirt cheap and out of the box will get me alien landscapes for processing in Photoshop. It's cheap enough, too. Much thought needed... maybe there's a way to coerce DS into doing alien landscapes... don't want to learn another app..

Kind of backup rotation.. use one drive for backup while the other drive sits in a safe deposit box offsite, swap drives once a month. I have so much software and content - both for 3D and music - that if I lost it I'd be out around a couple of thousands of dollars of stuff. :ahhh: :shut:

Oh, never mind Bryce - I found some cool landscaper stuff for DS, so I'm grabbing that. It'll make killer album art! Also got some some fancy otherworldly shaders! :)

Diane is diabetic, too. It's not too severe, though. And she's been told that it's well controlled now. She eats stuff, just much smaller amounts. She'd have a slice of the cherry cheesecake that was half the size of my slice. She controls my slice, too. She doesn't want me to have too much at once, either. My doctor hasn't said anything about my glucose levels yet. Maybe he's been too concerned about my potassium level, which was low for several years and just now I've been able to get it to the very bottom of the acceptable range.

I just had a wonderful afternoon! Shoveled around the deck, out to the gate, out to the bird feeder. Then I tried to get some snow off the roof with an expandable pole, it goes to 12 feet, with a big brush on it. It's all I have. I'm pretty certain that with all the talk about roofs on the news, everyplace is sold out of roof rakes. It didn't work all that well. Then when I was coming into the house to take a break, the storm door got away from me and the wind tore it off the house, except for the very top nail. The brick moulding actually came off, with the door attached. This happened to me last summer and I mostly fixed it, but it wasn't perfect...but it closed. Why do they use nails for anything? They don't hold. Anyway, by myself there's only so much I can do. I was tempted to just rip the thing the rest of the way off. But instead, I got some deck screws and screwed it on the best I could. The latch catches and stays closed, but ther'es a gap at the bottom because it's hung just a little lower than it should be. I don't care. It took a lot of energy messing with it. And it took its emotional toll, too. Come Spring, if we can manage to hold onto this house, I'll get a new storm door. I might even pay for it to be installed. This one is a mess, anyway. I managed to finish the shoveling that I wanted to do.

Then I came in and looked at the mail, and there's a summons to jury duty. Out of town, of course. I wonder if it's for the football player trial. I guess if it is I won't be there...I already think he's guilty. Plus I don't like football and think most players are violent people anyway, on and off the field. Not all, I know, I know. I don't usually generalize like that. But I have personal experience with football players, well, from high school. But to me it seems the mentality carries on to college and then the pros. Anyway, I'll have to find out about this. I doubt they give you much money. Maybe they cover your traveling expense. Hey, a little money coming in would be OK, I guess.

Oh, wait, his trial is already ongoing. I guess it's something else. I know it's not for the bomber, that's federal court and this summons is from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

After I rest a little, I'm going out to get that cherry pie!

    Dana
