Merlin 8.1 Pro was borked on release, missing several products intended for inclusion, causing the bundle to appear to be a rather poor value.
The missing items were later added, but the fix wasn't announced. I read about it shortly before the release sale ended, but I had already spent a bit on the subsequent AAPI sale and decided to pass on the bundle.
Today, Arcadia 8.1 Pro requires having purchased Merlin to receive the full discount. Without it, the bundle carts at $93.08 - quite an unattractive price point.
There have been similar situations in the past (Kiko/Kota for example). The point: When you regularly have interconnected series of sales, you really need to get them right from the start.
These are two of the better Daz bundles to be released in a while (imo), and they likely wouldn't have been difficult to sell to me. They'd still be a little iffy at their higher price points, but throw in a free G8 Pro Bundle or two (which used to be common) and I'd surely have bitten, having several low-priority G8 bundles still on my wishlist.
As it stands, both bundles go on the "maybe next year when they're $20-30 each" list.
I have the Arcadia Pro Bundle in my cart. I am trying to use the $7 off of V4 items by purchasing some things that I have on my wish list. These items are on sale for 70 cents so in theory I should be able to get 10 of them for free. I can get three but when I put a 4th one in they are 8 cents each. If I put 5 in they are 32 cents each. I am not sure how Daz math works but it just doesn't seem to match mine
I was hoping for some good Memorial Day sales. I guess there's still time...
These DAZ 3D Store issues are so tiresome. I was charged twice for the 2 products in my cart but surprise!, the DAZ 3D Store said the transaction failed and did not add the products to my DAZ 3D Library. The bank account linked to my bank debit card says otherwise. So paying double for nothing doesn't fly in the DAZ 3D Store or any other store.
Cupon Code HUGE-DEAL gets applied in the cart but the price doesn't change (Messy Braided Tails is still the same price instead of getting the advertized 70%). So the price for the overall cart stays the same with or without the coupon code.
Also... why is DAZ placing white text over a white/light background lately? Reading the text is impossible without highlighting it first as I've done in the screenshot below. I'm adding a fourth screenshot just to reiterate this last point.
If you look closely, it removed a few cents from the first item. I think all, or almost all, of the items in the Select Artist Items eligible for the coupon are also in the other sales, so how do you separate them? Try putting the one you want to discount (most expensive? best deal?) first in the cart, then apply the coupon.
As for the white text, it is black on mine.
It actually made the first item more expensive, taking it from 73% to 70%.
The first item in cart that's also part of the selection gets discounted, so make sure the items you want to use the code on is the first one.
Doing this worked out, thanks!
Seeing as this may run all weekend it may be helpful to add some text on the huge deal offer saying to put the item you want discounted first in your cart.
Memorial Weekend Sale
Anyone else having issues with the extra discounts not being applied correctly? The advertised amounts are 8%, 12%, and 15%, but if I add the required number of items and reach the proper amount, it only seems to apply an extra 5% discount at most. The only thing that seems to work correctly so far is the coupon.
Edit: Ignore this entirely, I'm an idiot. Richard is indeed correct on this one.
Are you remember that the extra discount is on top of thr nasic discount - e.g. if you buy an item at 51% off than an extra 8% will take it to 55% off, with rounding.
Ah, that explains it. Well, I'd say I'm surprised that I calculated that wrong, but that would be a lie. Don't mind me.
Hi mods, I just bought Animate2 and it doesn't seem to appear in DIM for download. Could you perhaps check on this? Or is it manual download only? Thanks!
@tsroemi There is no Animate2 to download from DIM. Go into your online Daz account and find your Animate2 serial number. Then in Daz Studio, go to Help>About Installed Plugins and enter your serial number for Animate2. That's all you have to do.
This information is documented in the aniMate2_DS4_Installation_Guide.pdf that you can download from your online Product Library. Don't download and install the DS3 files, because those are for Daz Studio version 3 only.
I see, thanks very much! I'll download just the docs. - Gah, just realizing it's even noted on the product page, just way down. Sorry, and thanks again!
Recently released category. The 'extra discount' either is not working or I am committing some error (each possibility is equally likely). I chose 4 items in the 'recently released' category, which asserts that I will get an extra 25% off once all are in my cart. The price does not change once all four are in my cart. The price remains $2.35 each for the Stonewood buildings and Medieval Industry sets.
I don't see those in the linked category - it isn't any recent release, just the ones listed.
Saigon Office and Old Library are in the discounted DAZ+ category, but are only at 65% off; isn't that their regular price?

Edit; Restaurant Crime Scne as well...

Those 3 items are Daz+ exclusive, not regular Daz+ items. So they might not be intended as part of the sale.
Product page prices are not honored in the cart.
Render Doctor | Daz 3D
Showing up in the 56% OFF Remarkable Artist Items sale, but not actually showing any sale discount on the product page.
I've got items in my wishlist showing a certain price, but when I add them to the cart, the price jumps up.
One example is SY Invisilights. In my wishlist, it displays as $3.13, but in my cart, they're $9.78
There's also a Props and Poses Converter (G2 to G3), the price has jumped to $22.03
It's the same for most of the items in my wishlist.
Same issue here: I had several items in my cart and was ready to buy, then the price jumped higher. So I emptied my card. Not buying.
I don't know what problems you guys have buying stuff, but I just bought a ton of stuff for just 2-3$, which I don't think was intended. I even could continue buying more! There is a PA of which has his entire library off 80-90%, that never had that high discount before and I actually kind of like the stuff he makes.
So I am beginning to worry, this seems like a pricing error, will I get into trouble for buying all these discounted items? Either way, I kind of stopped now, will try to check the store later, if those discounts stay, I'll probably buy more.
Just spotted that this is actually across a number of items. Any utility product in this sale is affected.
Examples:
Ghost Dynamics | Daz 3D
Camera View Optimizer | Daz 3D
Face Mojo - Facial MoCap Retargeting for Genesis 8 Males | Daz 3D
HeadShop 13 with LoveChild Macintosh | Daz 3D
That's what I did. I picked up a few bundles instead.
@Rakete
I guess I'll be in trouble too. ^^ Plus, Daz will probably have to refund quite a few customers, if we weren't meant to have items at those prices.
You should try to refresh the product page and check the prices... XP
Probably we had a price "hick-up", none of my wishlist items are on that price I got an e-mail about them.
Some good deals today... pity I'm out of Daz Funds for the month!
It was nice to be able to use my Daz+ coupons in conjunction with some sales this weekend. 80-90% off of wishlist items is always a good thing...
I was able to clean up my wishlist; there were some items that I wasn't pulling the trigger on with these discounts, so I deleted them...
New sale today, all of the above (including Render Doctor) are still broken.
The prices have changed, but it's impossible to tell from what and by what percentage.
