It's raining!:  And raining! :) And raining. :-S And raining! :blank: ..and... raining :bug: AND RAINING! :ahhh:

Cab straight to the biker bar tonight. :gulp:

Friday, Payday, had content money so got over $100 of goodies for about $60, then ordered my fancy work socks AND an electric coffee bean grinder with my leftover discretionary income. Shopping therapy! :cheese:

No sign of, or word from, the hardware dude. I feel left out to dry AND thrown under the bus, all at the same time. :shut: So, to Hell with him..

As the character Tallahassee in Zombieland said, "It's time to nut up, or shut up"! :snake:

So here I am, researching how load capacitors can cause a crystal oscillator to fail, AND learning how to determine what the proper load capacitance is computed. :shut: I am now learning complex circuit design. :blank:

Definitely beer and vodka tonight... :snake:

....mmmmm Wodka. Reminds me, I need to get some Orange Juice.

Only 11:00 Am and already 65° in the 'hood heading for a high of 73. I use one of the local nearby weather stations for the current conditions as who the heck lives at the airport (except for maybe some coyotes)? Tomorrow and Sunday back to it being more like the "Pacific Northwet" with heavy rain and the upper 50s in the forecast. After that, on Monday spring returns again.

Cats and Kids both, they have more fun with the box the toy came in rather than the toy itself. They say cats like to feel secure and a box makes a sort of enclosed den, but that doesn't explain why they like the small ones as well

My 2 cats sit there and wait for us to unpack any parcel that arrives and then claim the box. I have nice furry cat bed which is totally ignored.

complaint: I can't wait to move out of big city. People are always in a rush. I was walking on the sidewalk at the park to the subway station, right? Man with big briefcase was following behind me so fast that he almost ran into me. Lazy person couldn't bother to go around me. And people cut in front of me while I am waiting to board the train. Uh.. there are people in front of me, that is why I am not walking through the doorway. I know today is Friday and 9 out of 10 people leave work 2 hours early but still... I wonder how they still have energy at the end of the day to run to the bus and train?? Rush hour for transit doesn't start until 4 or 4:15 PM.

    Anyways... back to Iray.

...glad I was just drinking "tea" when I watched that.

Though felt like I was having flashbacks.

It wouldn't be the first time...historically speaking of the comics franchise. They have plot devices!

...one of the reason's I still like li'l old Portland in spite of the usual wet weather. Pretty easy going on the sidewalks and older neighbourhood shopping areas, though I tend to be seeing more and more impatient as well as "mouth breather" motorists lately (need to put up those "Welcome To Oregon, But Please Don't Stay" signs at the borders again).

One similar complaint, I do wish people here would queue up for the bus like in Canada and Britain. I do even when it rains (that's what a hat is for) and everyone else standing/milling around at the stop think I'm a bit daft, However, I always get my choice of seats as I'm the first to board and thus am able to avoid the usual "mosh pit" at the front door. Also why I tend to avoid the LRT Tram as it has multiple doors and queuing up doesn't work quite as well, and it often doesn't go where I need to go anyway.

Seattle to the north almost has the feel of Chicago or NYC in comparison for me. Downtown today is now is a cluster of tall glass & steel office & condo towers. 35 years ago used to be just the First Interstate, Rainier Bank, Westin Hotel, and old Smith Tower that were the tallest buildings in the city centre. Almost can't even find them amongst all the newer skyscrapers these days.

Although I actually have an Electrical Engineering degree I couldn't design a circuit if my life depended on it. I passed all the tests. Drew lots of pretty pictures. Learned lots of mathematics and network calculation procedures and got my degree but was not great in lab. I knew I was in trouble when while measuring the amplification characteristics of a single transistor the size of an aspirin (yeah, it was back in the 1960's) I was happily adjusting the voltages, and measuring the currents and graphing the results, then I looked down at my transistor and observed that it was glowing red! 8-O Even then I knew that was not a good thing.

That is probably why my degree is limited to existing in a frame on my wall and I have instead, decades of memories submerged in software design.

Batman has a plan to take down any other hero, just in case, ESPECIALLY Superman. ISTR Supes was a bit troubled when he found out Batman always has some Kryptonite in his belt.
