Tuesday, happy St. Patrick's day and all that rot. :blank: No thanks on any green beer.

Well, the router at the hotel finally died, and the guy at the desk was clueless about when it will get fixed. So, it's to to prep to move in two weeks so I can stop putting up with this sort of thing. I have the place I want to go in mind and will be dropping in to check it out on my way home Friday. Just need to put enough cash on the credit card to make the deposit, and then find a change-of-address card.

It's further out from the city but closer to work and food, there's a Sonic right next door with a little sheltered outdoor eating area.. great for Spring and Summer snack times! :cheese: But even if you're only moving 2 suitcases, moving is a pain in the butt.

Bank run today so I can buy some Irish beer on the way home. Probably going to work on music and/or play more Total Annihilation. Nuked the crap out of my foe last night, so pretty explosions! :snake:

Rain and chill tomorrow, low 42F and high 50F, the nice by Friday. Should be a nice weekend to get out! :)

when one feels like ones life is not worth living one could give up or do the brave thing and find out how to get out of the pit and work on it.

    ...I'd do the brave thing

    Been there many times.

    Wind situation better?

Chicago sposed to be the windy city :)

...that nickname actually isn't because of the local weather, but the city's politicians back in the 19th century.

Charles A. Dana, once the editor of the New York Sun is "officially" credited for coining the term in an 1893 editorial that said "Chicago was windy because of its full-of-hot-air politicians". (Chicago and New York were rials inbidding for teh 1892 Columbain Exhibition .

However the true origin of the term was traced back to entry in a May 9, 1876 Cincinnati Enquirer article with the headline, “THAT WINDY CITY. Some of the Freaks of the Last Chicago Tornado.” The headline used innuendo to comment on the speakers who were full of wind and that there was a windstorm.

Chicago invented green beer? or they turn their river green ...
...they turn the Chicago River green. Last year the tradition was in danger of being cancelled as only a week before there was still thick ice on the river

The tradition of Green Beer is accredited to first being done at the Schnerer Social Club in the Bronx back in 1914 which was created by the Club's Toastmaster Prof. Thomas J. Curtin who used a drop of "wash blue" dye in a "certain quantity of the beer".

Disclaimer: That is all I remember from my business class. Sorry I couldn't help out more. Someone correct me. lol

LLC is Limited liability company. An LLC can be seen as a sole proprietor/partnership. Inc is a corporation that has a more complex and formal management structure than an LLC. Gains and losses of an LLC directly affect the owners of an LLC . Corporations are a separate entity from their owners called shareholders. Corporations are required to follow more rules and regulations and state laws than LLCs. Corporations have meetings and records of the meetings. Think minutes and board members. LLC has no stocks nor do they file taxes, I think. LLCs can file taxes if they want.

Doing Business As is not a legal name for a company. Sole proprietorship is the simplest business. Sole proprietors can use a DBA if they don't want to create an LLC or corporation. Sorry I couldn't help you out more Misty.

...nah, that's made by Coors and about as "Irish" as borscht

The only brew that will do is Guinness. Make sure to get the pub draft cans wit the "widget" inside as they are imported from Ireland. Guinness that is sold here in the bottle or on draft is brewed in Canada under licence. You will need a pint glass to pour it in. The trick is to pop the can open and immediately pour it into the glass straight down the centre (don't tip the glass and pour down the side) . That will produce the lovely creamy head draft Guinness is known for.

    Cheers and Erin Go Bragh!

Need to go out for a shot of Powers Irish Whiskey (the "working mans whiskey").

I think the liquor store I go to has the nitro cans.. that's what I'll be looking for, and perhaps a shot of Jamesons (they DO sell the little single-shot bottles). I have a 1L mug I'll be using, no pint glass available.. :long:

Interesting when I went to verify that Killian's is still made by Coors, I accidentally typed in "ikkians" and Google asked me "Did you mean Killians?" Hmm, they're smarter than I thought.

Lacking that, I'll get something Irish-like, like the Sam Adams red Irish-style ale. :blank:

Just to clarify further: partnerships do file taxes, but they don't pay on their tax forms, the partners pay taxes on their share of the partnership profits on their tax forms.

...at least Sam Adams isn't a big industrial swill brewer like Coors. As Oklahoma is closer to Wisconsin, you might find Sprecher Redhead. Others to look for Nightlight Irish Stout (Circle Brewing in Austin), Brick Red (Sam Adams) , Old Np.38 stout and, Plowshare Stout (North Coast Brewing CA), Out of Bounds Stout (Avery Brewing Co,), Lucky SOB Irish Red (Flying Dog Brewery MD), and though not typically considered an"Irish" style ale per se, there is Stone Brewing's Arrogant Bastard which just by the name seems to fit..

Not so for poor Samuel and crew. So without further ado...
