Lots of good breakup songs have already been given. I would add: Hound Dog by Elvis and Hit the Road, Jack.

My first husband used Please Release Me with his first wife. I miss the days of being able to dial up the local DJ and dedicating songs.

my ex lives in a different state than me so even if there was dedicating a song to him he would not find out.

he blames me for the failure of the relationship and think that i used him. what a bunch of bs. he needs to get a life. i ain't perfect but he is far from perfect.

We have Windows 8.1 on the laptop. The laptop replaced both Diane's desktop and our old laptop, both of which had XP and I didn't want to risk them being hacked or otherwise compromised. It came with 8.0, but then we got the update to 8.1. It's really not bad if you use it in desktop mode. That add-on, StartMenuX, really helps, too. I'd go batty trying to use it if it only had the tiles mode.

I actually have a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard for my Win8.1 system, it's meant as an emergency laptop replacement in case Something Very Bad(tm) happens to my laptop. :bug: I'm hoping Win10 takes care of a few flakinesses on my main machine... bt it might be bad enough to have to reformat/re-install or just flat-out replace the thing. I'm saving up to replace it at this point...

I just updated my desktop to Windows 7 Pro last year (and added 4 Gigs to bring it up to 8 Gigs of RAM). I'm not sure I want to do the upgrade to Windows 10 or not. It's running pretty nice right now. I'll have to see how things go with Windows 10, let the dust settle, before I consider it. It will be free for a year after release, so that should be enough time to hear if it's good or not.

If you have Windows 8.1 and don't like the lack of a real start menu, consider StartMenuX. It really is nice, and far more functional and useful than even what I've seen of the "new" start menu that they will put into Windows 10. And it's pretty cheap. It's often on sale at 50% off, and it's only a $20 item to begin with! I just checked and it's actually on sale right now for $9.99. Start Menu X.

My wife (Diane) just called. Her best friend Anita passed away today. She's pretty shaken up. She's been in the hospital for over a week, pneumonia. I was actually afraid this might happen, but hoped for the best. Diane has had enough on her mind lately.

    That's my complaint.

I think they're in the process of getting ready to fire the hardware guy.. he's totally incommunicado.. not answering anybody's anything.

So I'm debugging a screwed-up USB circuit design.. and I'm not a designer..brain hurts. :shut:
