...the 3DL one looks like it was rendered just with the camera headlamp. I see that a lot myself, even in some challenges. However if a computer is capable of handling Iray in CPU mode, it should have little to no trouble with with AoA's Advanced lights or UE.

For the 3DL scene, I would use an Advanced Ambient with an Advanced Distant light for the sun coming through the window..

yeah I did nothing with the lights so that is why it is not that great.

We are never ever getting back together, ever! Does anyone know of any good breakup songs that can help me remember that I am never ever getting back together with him!

Please release me by Englebert Humperdinck worked quite well with my ex-husband. Not sure if it was the words or thw fact that I had copied it several times onto one cassette tape which I played over and over.

Country songs are great for all sorts of situations. On his last day at work, before he retired, Himself drove into the yard with Johhny Paycheck "You can take this job and shove it" blasting out on the car stereo.

I don't think they're dead. Maybe to you, if all you use is DAZ3D stuff. But that's not the majority. I mainly use DS, too, but I don't think for a minute that Poser is dead. There's plenty of new stuff at Renderosity.

The headlines from Portland, OR read something like this: Wind, rain cause down power lines, uprooted trees and landslides. Yikes. Be careful Kyoto Kid.

...yeah had a big tree near the neighbourhood go down blocking one of the major streets in the area and knocking power out in part of Laurelhurst district where there are a lot of fancy old homes. Fortunately light's here haven't even flickered here (crossing fingers).

The landslide was in one of the the ritzy neighbourhoods in the West Hills. Why rich people build their homes in such vulnerable areas is beyond me.

High wind warnings still up through the evening so not out of the woods yet.

For me it's one of the following that puts me in a hissy want to crush the living daylights out of something mood

    1. my teams losing,
    2. a bad day commuting
    3. nearly being hit from behind by some Lance wannabe on a bike while I'm walking down the sidewalk
    4. nearly being run down by some mouth breather behind the wheel when I'm crossing a street.
5.. having to basically deal with workplace mind games.
    6. having to deal with a lot of stupidity

Oh. Well, I don't normally visit the forums there unless there's something of special interest. So, I wouldn't notice a slow down. But as I understand it, there have been...skirmishes shall we say...which may be why it is quiet there...the mods might have clamped down and people just scattered.

Her right arm and leg look washed out on my monitor. I think the LCD monitor is set too bright. I'll look at the render on my older computer. Thanks for sharing.

The lighting is kind of iffy, this done in DS4.8 and I might have done something wrong... :red:

    ...looks OK to me.

Is looking good for me, IPad, I'll take a look on a monitor when we get home.

Still looks good to me, 27" apple monitor :)

Well, we could go for a classic:
"You Don't Own Me" - Leslie Gore

    Or something more modern:
    "You Deserve" - Nina Sky
    "Spiderwebs" - No Doubt

    Or for the really obscure:
"Don't Come Back" - Pearl Harbour and the Explosions

Cheer up! We got your back. :-P

Lots of good breakup songs have already been given. I would add: Hound Dog by Elvis and Hit the Road, Jack.

My first husband used Please Release Me with his first wife. I miss the days of being able to dial up the local DJ and dedicating songs.
