Mother to child: Dessert withheld until you eat your broccoli and turnips.

Mean prison guard to starving prisoner: "I've got a meat scrap for you, but first you have to cut off your foot.

Rumplestiltskin to miller: I'll spin straw into gold to save your daughter but I get her first born child.

DAZ to catalog addicts: Here, my pretties. Just what you've always wanted. But first you must give me a pound of flesh. (massive apologies to William Shakespeare)

Yay, TroutFace is getting a hardware guy. I hope he knows what he's doing and helps bring this project to a conclusion.

It's been raining here for 2 hours. Some places in our area may get 6-8 inches by tomorrow evening. I'm already tired of it.

Fyredrygyon, our projected rainfall was upped. Maybe yours was too.

Misty and Dana gots more snow?

I don't know what kind of device lets me "veiw" but DAZ seems to think I need one. Two might be better. Maybe whatever it is will be able to run Iray at the same time.

...based on the time stamp of your first post on this page, that was at least a 30 min wait. It's no wonder, with service like that, most people would rather drive than take transit even though the annual costs of car ownership are often much higher.

I've never had to deal with buses much. I did however, live in Washington DC and its suburbs for several years and got very used to using the Metro (subway) around town. Clean, fast, efficient, on-time, safe*. It's a shame more public transit can't be of a similar nature. The only bitch I had about the Metro was parking at the out-lying stations when you wanted to go into the city. Giant game of musical chairs.

*However, accidents do happen, but are rare enough that they make national news. i.e. trains off the track, people fall from platforms onto tracks, extreme snow boggles the above ground sections, electrocution from worn buried power lines hitting storm drain grate.

So far, the alert still says area wide will be 1 to 3 inches. Local patches could see up to 6 inches however. O.O hope that doesn't hit here.

So far no rain. Sun has even broke through the clouds.

I wish Daz would not make us buy 2 or more new releases in order to participate e the 70% sales. like the geneses 70% going on.
By the time I get done buying 2 things at 30% in order to get the 70% off items . i no longer have the money for the 70% items
so the sale to me is a rather moot point.
there must be others feel this way too. I understand Daz wanting us to buy the new releases. but this is March Madness after all in the old days
the march madness sale items were clearly marked no guessing at what on sale that day. no puttings items in your cart to see if its on sale or not.
its makes it a heck of a lot easier to see whats in sale in your wish list as well if items were clearly marked on sale .

How About Daz guys? can you please make it a little more easier to participate in the sales with out having to buy the farm to get the animals,

    There is a sale ?

He was not a kind being. He was kind of being wicked.

Perhaps he was an alien? "Alpha Centauri needs babies" Transmutation of bio-matter to gold implies an advanced scientific knowledge. Perhaps making babies was harder. 8-O

The story appears in many guises around the world. Wikipedia talks about several of them. I can't remember exactly which story I heard first.

I have some nice photos of Metrorail but I can't find them. I want to use them as my background image in Daz Studio. All I could find are photos of Reagan National Airport looking out of the Yellow Line train.

I lived in the Washington DC area from '84 to '01 and took a lot of photos but not many of the metro. I wish I had. I also wish I had taken more photos with an airplane in the background. National (Reagan) airport is essentially in the middle of the metropolitan area so one often looked up to see a commercial jet near the ground in the background of some building or monument or another. Many times I thought of doing a whole series of a hundred or so images of the city but always with a big commercial jet in the background or the Presidential helicopters flying overhead. Never carried through on that idea though. Might have made a good coffee-table book. Bummer! :-( In the last few years in the area I lived out near Washington's Dulles airport 25 miles west of the city, and a few times I looked up and saw the Concorde directly over my head.
