We're on the Northern edge of the storm. It might just barely reach up to Boston and give them a coating. But it could change it's trajectory. If it jogs a little further North, we could end up with more. I'm actually hoping it jogs further South and misses us completely. I'm so tired of snow. there's still about a foot on my lawn. It's melting away at the edges and down from the top. But it's taking a while. I'll see what the report is tonight, maybe it changed.

Sounds like he may be getting a bit of a break, as the path seems to have shifted a bit south, judging by the increase to 3-6 inches in NYC and 5-8 in Nassau county.

Tell me about it! At least today, when I returned home, there was heavy equipment repairing the road surface! There was a pothole that was unavoidable until the snow started melting at the sides and widened the street a little. It was more than half the width of the road in length, and at least a foot and a half wide and I'd say at least 8 inches deep. Even my Camry didn't like it. They were using the good stuff, too, it seemed. They had a heavy roller to flatten it down, too. I was so happy to see that. There were a lot of potholes up that end of the street.

I'm about to watch the news now, so I'll see about that. Kevin Lemanowicz is the chief meteorologist on the channel, Fox Boston 25, that I watch and he's historically more accurate than the weather channel.

Arrrrrrrrrrrg My store and account pages have reverted to gigantic size. I remember when they came online there was a way to go back to our normal smaller size. How?

Looking through my Product Library, I got this cute message. WTF, DAZ? I can't just run out and buy a bigger monitor/laptop/computer because you choose to program your site with hugeness for the mobile users.

ETA: You might learn how to spell too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1815_eruption_of_Mount_Tambora - can't believe my public schooling never mentioned it, reads like it was significant.

I never heard of this either, Misty. At first I thought it was a John Wayne movie, then I followed your link and read up on it. That's really scary.

I know we're in the midst of a powerful solar storm right now, but are any volcanoes going off?

What browser are you using? you might be able to change the zoon level under the View menu. In the newer versions of Firefox, you click on the menu (three horizontal lines on the upper right) and at the top of the resulting popup window you see Cut, Copy and Paste. The next row has a minus sing, zoom percentage, and plus sign. Clicking on the percentage, if it's other than 100, will set it back to 100. Or you can use the plus and/or minus to adjust the zoom. In IE 11, there's a View menu option, and one of the sub-options is Zoom. I don't know about the other browsers, but I'm sure they must all have something similar. I find that the zoom setting seems to be saved for a particular site. So it might just need to be reset.

There's always a volcano erupting somewhere on the planet. This is a very active planet.

I think I've been on my computer too long today. I woke up happy, but now I'm in a bad mood. We're supposed to have heavy rains starting tomorrow (or today) evening, continuing until sometime Saturday. My yard is soggy and we're still under water restrictions due to the drought. Hah!

My yard is soggy, too, from the snow melting and the two days of rain (not sequential) we had. it goes squish, squish when I walk on it. :blank:

Thanks, Dana. You provided the clue I needed. I use Chrome. I clicked on the control/customize button and discovered that my zoom had been set to 125%. No wonder everything was so big. I moved it back down to 110% and it looks like it used to look. The message about veiwing my product library has disappeared.

Glad to help. It might have been an accident. I don't know if you're aware, but if you hold down the CTRL key and move the scroll wheel on your mouse, it will zoom if you scroll up, shrink if you scroll down...at least it does that in Firefox and IE.

Suppose to get that same system tonight and all day tomorrow. But any rain we get is going to turn into run-off cause the ground is still saturated from a storm from Monday. And the week before, etc. Yesterday, the local news said that this month alone, we had 4.67 inches of rain.

We're under a flash flood warning, given that we're expecting to get 1 to 3 inches.
