    hemispherical, sum of the volume of all cones with apex originating on the optic nerve bundle would approximate it ?

    I think it's more than a hemisphere, actually. More than a 180 degree field, anyway. Well, on the horizontal. It's less on the vertical I think, but only due to the head being in the way...the brow and the cheeks and chin. :smirk:

    ...Caturday complaint.

    The Forums logon is still buggered.

    Shut down the computer, to go out for a while. Came back home started everything up did the "usual SOP" of first logging onto the store site and instead of taking me to my account page (like it usually does), it went right to the store itself. When that happens I am still logged out of the forums which means if I log into the forums separately, I get sent to my account page and have to manually navigate back to the post that the email would normally link me to. If I simply go back to the email and click on the link, I am shown as still being logged out after which if I log in, I am once again misdirected to my account page and have to manually navigate to the post.

    I had to shut down FF restart, log in to the store (getting the same result), log out of the store, and then log back in to finally get the account page redirect which meant I was now logged into both the store and forums. Sometimes I have to reboot my system again to get this to work right which is a total PITA.

    This is getting really really tiresome and annoying, especially since it's been almost three bloody years after the change to Magento.

    Fix the bleedin' forums logon. Is it that bloody difficult?

    Doubt whether it would add up to > 180 along any tangent tho, don't know where the vectors would start, you would have to pick a notional surface and approximate I guess :)

    Hold your arms straight out to the sides. Stare straight ahead and but become aware of what is at the periphery. It is behind your hands. At least for me it is. The lens of your eye protrudes enough that it can see behind itself on the outer edges of the field of vision.

    Try another thing. With your head level and looking ahead, notice your chest and belly. Without moving your head down, look downward with your eyes. You can no longer see it all because your nose and lips and even cheeks get in the way when looking directly.

    This is sort of like what a fish-eye lens does...it can actually see behind itself because the field of view is more than 180 degrees.

    Maybe you think I have too much time on my hands. But really, I've noticed these things many years ago. Most of the time I don't really even think about it.

    Google is your friend...

    Wikipedia:
    "Different animals have different fields of view, depending on the placement of the eyes. Humans have an almost 180-degree forward-facing horizontal field of view, while some birds have a complete or nearly complete 360-degree field of view. The vertical range of the field of view in humans is typically around 135 degrees.

    The range of visual abilities is not uniform across a field of view, and varies from animal to animal. For example, binocular vision, which is important for depth perception, covers only 114 degrees (horizontally) of the field of vision in humans;[2] the remaining peripheral 60–70 degrees have no binocular vision (because only one eye can see those parts of the field of view). Some birds have a scant 10 or 20 degrees of binocular vision.

    Good morning everyone! :coolsmile: A lovey and sunny 61F outside, and the morning is filled with the cheeps and peeps of tinly little birds, looks like sparrows or finches! Should reach near 80F today! :cheese:

    Still super-low on beer, only 3 left:ahhh: but they're good ones, from a local microbrewery right in Tulsa! :cheese: Bar oepns at Noon, too, so beer will be consumed in the Sun today!

    Some work on music managed to get done yesterday, and I'm diving in again as soon as coffee is done. Good times!

    I hope everyone has (or had) a great Sunday! :cheese:

    ..no idea why I'm in a decent mood this morning :blank:

    Sometimes when drawing, I forget I'm not working in 3D... And that changing a creature's pose is a lot more work :(

    Good morning, Tulsa. Sounds like you escaped the bad weather...this time. It's rainyfied here today, just for the Cap 10K. I may take my chances and walk up to Walgreen's to pick up a prescription, eat at the Guadalajara (tacos or enchiladas?), then stop in HEB on the way home.

    A=Coffee brewing
    B=No job on Sunday
    C=Decent mood

    A+B=C

    Just simple algebra. :)
