I like the look of both the hair sets.
I will probably grab the Beach Wave as it is looking very Iray friendly.

In some of the images I have seen she's done a better job of looking adult than many characters do - someone who could more believably sit behind an executive desk or run a laboratory than many we see on screen and in images.
Go figure.
First non-male bundle in ages where I've actually wanted most of the pro-bundle -- including the skimpwear and the Pretty White Girls -- and I'm broke this month. ;-P
I've always had a soft spot for the Arthurian legends, and I perked right up when I saw the title of the e-mail.
Ah well. I'll pick up bits and pieces when I can, or maybe she'll end up in the bundle sales that will inevitably crop up in 3 months. :)
Edit to add: And now I'll have to check to see if there's enough Knight Gear/Quasi-Medieval Fantasy Gen6 guy-stuff for a decent Arthurian type scene. Either way, a bundle of said Knight Gear would certainly be welcome (If a full male companion isn't in the works, which would be even better, but I'm not expecting it. :) )

That seems like a mooooooooooooooooot point, this release is a milk dud!
I´m also confused by the name. Ninive hints at Middle Eastern / Levantine, but everything with this character looks Norther European. And since my runtime is full of Northern European ladies I'm definitely passing on this one.
Besides, I thought it was time for a guy this time. I held my hopes for a slender, elegant bishonen to go with poor Giselle. And with some long coats, hi hats and shotguns, and perhaps a Peter Pan-esque outfit. Maybe next time - or next year.
I would be surprised if we see another male only character released anytime soon. All the male releases of late have either come with a female equivalent (eg: Cory, Darius and Brodie), or are a creature (Minotaur and Lizard). Last male figure released on his own was Lee, back in August last year if I remember correctly.
I thought the PC coupon would not work on something new?
At first I thought it was a bit of a toon character, but when I saw the characters that can go with it I guess it is a "real person" figure.....
What do you think?
Not sure why this shape was classed as in some way necessary for King Arthur-type stuff, but then, I didn't understand why Lilith 6 was hyped as somehow 'evil', either.
Nevertheless, I do like the facial shape... Not sure if I'll be getting her right now, but if not, then soon.

just wondering, because all the promos now show "rendered in iray" just wondering now a few things....
will all things rendered in Iray promos come with iray-ready materials?
if not, i do expect to see included 3delight promos otherwise i'm confused.....

@ Leana, jakiblue and horus3523: Thank you for the informations! It looks as if I revealed my profound ignorance of the Anglo-Saxon/Celtic myths... :lol: Well, every people has it's own.
Kinda torn on this one. On the one hand her head is so ridiculously oversized that she must be a toon. But the rest of her kinda doesn't look like that's the case. The result is a character that looks completely weird. Luckily, scaling down the head is quite easy so I guess it's probably simple to fix her. Also the lack of 3Delight materials on pretty much everything in her bundles kind of bugs me. At least her skin is so token and uninteresting (really, this still wasn't the time for a freckled character?) that I can just use some of my other one million pale, white girl skins on her, so it doesn't really matter.
On the other hand I sort of like most of the content she was released with. The hair looks great, and while I am not a fan of Nikisatez, I do prefer their stuff over the bobbie25 stuff we usually get in the Pro Bundles. Arthurian Outfit actually comes reasonably close to the awesome Princess Alex outfit from way back. Also she's called Ninive and I am a sucker for old Mesopotamia.
I may have to get that one, even though Ninive herself would be just a bonus to go with the content of the bundle. Still can't believe they let her through testing with that head.

No, it's the one coupon that does work on new releases. Only DAZ Originals, and not on PC releases, but new character bases/bundles, yes.
And here I thought I was the only one who thought this character had a big head. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. LOL!
Do like the character and may get this bundle. Kinda tired of all the female 6 characters, but I guess you gotta go with what sells.
Depends how you define 'uninteresting'. One could say the same for virtually every single official character. If you meant wanting something particularly exotic-looking, then there is this:

They're good as an option, but you don't necessarily want them for a default look.
I've personally got an issue with characters which come out with obvious birth marks and such. Anything which adds to a lack of symmetry means it's impossible to use the same skin on another character in the same scene, which pretty much eliminates 50% of the potential uses I have for any character I purchase (and makes it much less likely that I'd buy it).
But then again, some of us wouldn't mind a little added diversity with the obvious birth marks. Might make the skin more unique than it was.
I wanna harp on the poses in this bundle...specifically one particular poses set by one particular vendor known for their poses sets. I happen to like this vendor a lot, but now, I'm beginning to believe there's some rehashing going on in these poses sets. I would swear I've seen some of these poses in other poses sets, but maybe it's just me. But I still love their creativity and I hope that's what happening instead of the rehashing of previously released sets to make a new one. Just saying.
Which is why they should be for cosmetic options or in add-on products, rather than in the default basic character skin. When it's the latter, it makes them impossible to use for multiple characters in a single scene (which you can often need when it's a specific look or it's a skin with a particular cosmetic choice you need to replicate over multiple characters with different shapes). Or, say, for figures who are meant to appear as 'flawless', like mythical or cybernetic characters.
It's one of those things which are infinitely better to have as a choice, if even at all.
I think what you're referring to isn't to do with the size of the head, but length of neck. It only seems obvious on certain angled pictures. On others, she looks normal. So, I think it's the length of neck and all to do with the pose you happen to choose.
The neck, huh? Naw. This character got a big head. LOL! Every promo pic I've seen this character in (with the slight exception being the FWSA character) has this character with an over-sided head. The neck is a little long too but that only makes that head more pronounced. I'm just saying.
Anyone who has this, can you please let me know, does she and/or her characters, come with 3Dlight settings? Or Iray settings? or both???
I hear you, Xenomorphine. I agree with some of your points but it'll always boil down to what you intend for the character in the first place. She still got a big head, though. LOL!
Oh yes, there are certainly duplicates -- all fine-tuned for *this* figure. You can use them on others, but the hands and feet and whatever will need tweaking to get them into the right position. I have that previous package and I suspect that if used with this particular figure the final positions would not be accurate at all.
If you are one of the people who just wants the figure in more or less the right position and don't mind the tweaking needed, then it's no big deal, but not everyone has been at this long enough to be confident about that.
The product page for Ninive states she has - DAZ Studio Subsurface Material Presets (.DUF) so these are DS settings not Iray optimised a lot of stuff does convert well to Iray with little adjustment not everything.
I do wish they would do at least 1 3Delight render though its rather annoying that they are all Iray.

The hair model is named for Nimue.
I'm now all confused, because I knew Nimue and Viviane as some of the names given to the maiden "fairer still than apple blossoms" who seduced Merlin, stole his powers and locked him up in a cave (or a hawthorn tree), but had missed the fact that she was also the sword-dispensing Lady of the Lake. And also one of the four queens in the barge that carried Arthur to Avalon.
I blame Tennyson, who apparently split Viviane and the Lady of the Lake into two separate characters.

While I don't buy this sort of stuff I have to say April, I looked at your new hair style... HONEY, you outdid yourself. Front, side and back looks really really good. Sometimes artists get lazy at the back of the hair and looks like a single sheet polys transmapped... this is full on gorgeous! Might have to get this one.
I like the Lorelei Mertail and the Arthurian Outfit too... both sets with allot of detail paid to the modeling and textures.
