I honestly don't see much of a shape similarity for either Ninive or Ysabeau to Giselle.

I do, however, see some similarity between Belle and Ysabeau.

She's pretty, but I have to be honest, she looks very young, and seeing her in the sinful delights outfit with the lollipop just gave me that icky feeling. Sorry.

That was my thought, too. Someone else thought she looks too young for the Sinful Delights outfit; while she does have the youthful look that Thorne/Sarsa characters often have, I'm not seeing an 'underage' look to the character. The outfit, however, does seem more like something that might be worn by an adult in private, not something a young lady would wear in public.

Either way, I like the character and the items in the bundle, and at this price, she's a no-brainer. I can't wait to play with her when I get back from school.

I am SO tired of all these "new" characters!!! I REALLY AM. Every single one of them has a new and different UV, and every single one of them could be handled by just releasing different morph packs! Like in the days of V4 - the muscle morphs, the elite morphs etc. Will it ever stop??? This is getting so damn ridiculous.

I agree. I don't understand it. I would definitely have picked up Ordella HD in the pack if she worked on Victoria 6 for example, but I really don't want to have to spend twice as much, buying a base that I will never use.
But, you know, if it didn't make financial sense then the vendors wouldn't support these fringe character, so we are evidently in the minority

One of the characters for her, Ordella, looks like Olympia's younger sister. :)

Well, as expected of me, I bought her and instantly made a comparison between her and the other girls similar to her...

From left to right: Ysabeau, Giselle, Belle

So yeah, it seems like Ysabeau is Giselle's big sister more than anything else.

Wow, those first two especially look identical but for the size.

Thank you RCDeschene. I've always found the obsession with underage girls here to be ........... interesting. Especially since I work with a lot of college age women. People need to look around more. Was Giselle made by Thorne?

Normally I would completely agree with this... but as its a Thorne character I have no choice but to buy it. I have a weakness for Thorne's elfin designs.

It says Ysabeau uses the Base Female UV Maps - so am I right in assuming that means she'll be pretty compatible with other more general texture products?

More like if Belle and Giselle did a DBZ-style Fusion Technique...

Though, I think it's because of that is why I admit I do like her head shape. Also, her custom breast morph is reminiscent to that of Thorne and Sarsa's Satsuki for Genesis.

I noticed that too. I wonder if DAZ is trying out smaller bundles with broader UV Map compatibility to see if they sell well. Or maybe just smaller bundles in general. I could definitely go for more like these. Though the SciFi Enforcer promo is what really sold me on her.

RCDeschene - could you please advise what UV maps this model uses? Is it definitely the Genesis 2 Female Base UV Maps, or does it have its own set of UVs?

The smaller bundles are great. Usually the price you save on the larger bundles is negated on items you don't want. This is a lot more focused, and rather tempting actually. What I would love to see is a create your own bundle product where you get the base figures along with 5 additional items out of a choice of say 10. Now that would be sweeet.

Yes, agreed. If they've done what I think they've done and made this character with the standard Genesis 2 Female Base UV Maps for more compatibility, rather than creating all new custom Ysabeau UV Maps, then I say well done Daz and thank you for listening to your customers! :)

That was one of the things I complained about in my 2015 survey.

I didn't realise that- That definitely changes things then.

The only time I want to see custom UV Maps is if the figure is REALLY different, like 'this is a six armed character with tusks.'

    Otherwise... nooo. Please, no.

Ok, I just bought this new character and quickly tested her out. Brilliant! Bravo Daz!

Adorable face, excellent shape, great skin textures and the best thing about her - default Base Female UV Maps for ultimate compatibility!!

I know I'm a major Thorne fan but I have to say that, in my opinion, this is the best female character released so far. I fully recommend it :)

Edit: Works great in both 3Delight and Iray.

I simply cannot resist a Sarsa / Thorne character so whether I buy her or not is already decided :)

The other characters are also very nice ... so the bundle it is :)

What can I say ... I am just weak in that regard ...

I'm not usually one for gushing over products but Ysabeau is absolutely perfect in my eyes. She renders very quickly in Iray (3 mins under basic sun-sky conditions) and the photo-realistic skin textures (I'm guessing?) look really amazing in Iray straight off the bat with no tweaking.

I'm going to find it very difficult to use any of the other models in my collection after this :)

@ Thorne, wherever you are, I love you! ;)

I know someone mentioned Satsuki, but the last promotional picture makes me think she's more like an updated Princess (with far more realistic proportions) hybridised with Belle.

I'm always hesitant to do this for new products, because my rendering skills are woeful and I don't want to put anyone off buying it - but I'll rustle up a couple of images to show the absolute basics for you.

She includes Iray materials?so she includes Iray materials?

I'm not experienced enough to say if the materials were designed with Iray in mind or not, but I can say that they look good in Iray with no tweaking, in my opinion. Thats all I'm saying. See the images below.

Ok, heres a couple of sample images that took my PC (cpu i4460, gpu GeForce 660 GTX 2GB, 8GB RAM) around 2-3 mins each to render in Iray.

Literally all I've done here is slap the basic Ysabeau figure (I didn't mess with any features or change any of her options that she comes with, other than converting her surfaces to Iray uber base) into the scene and lit it with basic sun-sky settings. Please account for the fact that my rendering skills are terrible and I'm only showing you the utmost basics - other people will be able to make it look a lot better than this with only minor tweaks.

Unless I'm very much mistaken it looks like Pixie Perfect Hair http://www.daz3d.com/pixieperfect-hair-for-genesis-2-female-s

I have this hair and its a good one.

Thanks this is exactly what I wanted to see. Sometimes the promo images are so polished you don't get a good idea of what the figure really looks like. I must say I'm impressed with her skin. That is absolutely beautiful. Are all skin textures that nice in Iray?
