The propduct: "Baboon by AM for Genesis 8 Male" has a major issue. It has changed the shape of my gen 8 character just by being installed. The chang eis very suble but it has changed the right shoulder somehow. I made a gif so you can see the change. Attaching too in case the URL goes bad, not sure if it is a temp URL. It slighly increases the size of the shoulder somehow. I remove the package and problem is gone.
Are you asking why the 3D print licenses weren't included when you bought the bundle? If so, was that ever part of the offer? You get free 3D print licenses for DOs purchased before whatever the date was, but that doesn't mean you get them for free going forward.
There was the option to purchase the 3D Printing license for $1.99 on the Mystery Grab Bag page. I spent the $1.99 to purchase the license but do not have it applied to the individual items. I filed a ticket several days ago about this when the items were added to my Product Library but still have not received the licenses. I belive the same is the case for Robert Freise and probably many others.
IMO that $1,99 option to buy a print license for the grab bag bundle was an error. So you should be reimbursed that $1,99. Or you are lucky and customer service will grant you the 10 print licenses for the single products. Did not buy it myself because I thought that could only be a mistake.
Yes, I thought it was meant to be refunded automatically - will check on that.
Well, I waited to buy the license to see if it was a glitch; but the option remained for the whole time the Mystery Grab bag was available; so, it didn't seem ike a glitch and I finally bought it. Despite having filed a ticket the licenses have not been applied to the individual items and no refund has been offered.
I'm betting there are an over abundance of tickets due to this so could take some time but as Richard said we will inquire.
i see the grab bad pieces are now released to all. I like this as I can choose which ones to buy ... saving money. Eve 3022 is the only one I would buy right away, and the baboon later on. I would pass on the rest.
Looking at the DAZ Original release prices the things I would have potentially bought standalone are Lacey, Eve and the Sleeveless Dress. Those add up to $26 so I am fine having spent $30 and having the Submarine, the Baboon and all the other stuff as well. But yeah was always a bet. Get a lot of stuff cheap or pick some items you need and thus pay more fore the single items but potentially less overall.
In my case not getting the grab bag was a good call. I did get Eve for $4.49 by using a monthly coupon.
But the one thing I really want to say is the submarine should be called "Cartoon," not "Steampunk." PAs need to produce STEAMPUNK otherwise not spam the search engine trying to get search hits.
Only items from this bundle I wouldn't be interested in are outfits, as I'm in no shortage of those.
I'm certain that knowing some of the leaked products before did influence my decision. I don't like gambling and I would not purchase it completely blind. I knew there were two characters, shaders and monsters/animals I'd use.
Apart from the epic fail on delivering the items on time, the grab bag was quite a nice surprise. I am not much into steampunk, and also not comic, so I would not have taken the submarine. But hey, the other stuff is rather nice.
Yes same for me and I have filed a ticket and been told it was solved three times but it hasn't been
Have done so and it has not been solved after CS saying that it has three times
Well, at least someone is paying attention to yours. Mine has only been closed once and since I reopened it shortly after it was closed 2 days ago it has not received any further attention.
Haven't heard anything more on mine since Tuesday
It's been said a few times that the option to buy the license was a mistake and they are crediting everyone that got it. Did you get your refund? It would be in store credit.
No, and nothing from CS on the subject
IMO they should have offered a deal on the bundle 3d print just due to the mystery type promo if for no other reason
Havve most of your guys tickets been closed without a refund? Some may not have gotten a reply yet from their ticket cause they are working on a general refund. We are talking with Daz and trying to figure out whats going on.
Your efforts are appreciated
What's your ticket number?
Did this get solved for you? If not, let me know and we can see if there needs to be a file update. Thanks!
The refunds (which will be store credit) should be wrapped up tomorrow. It took us a bit longer to pull the list of those who had purchased the 3D license are part of it. Sorry for the inconvience.
-Jessica
We haven't intentionally closed your ticket without it being solved, so please send us your ticket number and we'll look into any issues with our system. Thanks!
...well that was 29.95$ saved, About the only interesting items are the glass shaders and AM's Baboon.
.
The offer of the printing licenses was not a temporary glitch. It was an offer that DAZ made. It was up for the entire time the Mystery Grab Bag was in the store and DAZ should honor their offers.
I just looked under my activities and it is showing as open now so I'll keep a watch on it
The number is 418932
Oh, but it wasn't DAZ that made the offer. It was those nasty old Glitch Demons. DAZ shouldn't be held responsible for the work of nasty old Glitch Demons, should they? Even if it could have been prevented simply by having someone actually proofread the words that were posted on their own website or having someone checking on what was actually being sold in their own store to say "Oh, we're not selling that." Especially since there have been so many questions about how they can be selling 3D printing licenses to things that can't even be printed, like lights. But honestly, the most annoying thing here is that they're giving you customer credit, so it's not as if they're really making amends for something that was completely and totally their fault when they still have your money.
I not really consider moving dials steampunk, which is lucky for me, because I do not really like that "put some useless cogwheels and stuff on it to call it steampunk" way many PAs seem to love.
So yeah, that submarine is more cartoon-y than steampunk-ish but it's still the only thing from the bundle that found it's way on my wishlist (even though the baboon looks great, I don't expect to get inclined to do a render with a baboon...)
