In this thread, I can see all the images, both mine and those of others: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/58912/testing
In this thread on page 28, I can see at least one image, but the others are broken: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/53147/show-us-your-bryce-renders-part-9#latest and if I click on one of them it says the page is not found. And just in case you aren't seeing what I'm seeing, here's an attachment (haha, if that works) showing what I see:
I'm giving this an honest shot. I can see I'll like some of the new features, but at the same time, I really don't like how big everything is, or how posts have no visual cues seperating them from the previous.
OTOH, I've been using PHPbb and VB styled boards for around two decades now.
Received an email notification about a new message - the link was broken, clicked it and while I was taken to the relevant thread the forums then decided to log me out! And take me away from the thread and to the main forum page.
ETA and my post count has just dropped from 1812 to 1768, literally just now. WT?
That is displaying fine for me Sean
Hmmm, weird. So just to make sure NoScript wasn't somehow goofing things up, I tried viewing the same page in Internet Explorer, which is not running any kind of JavaScript blockers or anything. It doesn't work there for me either, plus additionally IE can't see some of the user's avatars (I can see others) even though Firefox can. Unlike Firefox, if I click on one of the broken images it doesn't give me a broken link, it just does nothing as if I hadn't clicked on it. Since I don't normally use IE, I'm assuming it's using whatever the defaults are there. I wonder why some of us can see the images and others can't. Could it be a permissions thing, that you as an aministrator have that I don't? Just out of curiosity, what browser are you using?
those examples dont work for me and i dont have any ad block or anything. using chrome if that helps
I am using FireFox 35 and no it's not because I am an admin,
Edited to add I just got himself to check for me as well (his is a normal member account) and he sees those images. Again he has FF on his little PC and not the latest version of it.
I'm seeing broken images there too.
Please check my post on the previous page. I believe it relates to this:

I am using Opera and can see all the images on this page and they open when clicked on. I went to another page where I still see all the images but when I clicked on this one I got the 404 Page Not Found,

Would really like back the time saving ability to click on the last message of a thread from the list of threads rather than the extra steps involved.
Thanks Kerya!
Between that and the bookmark update I can pretty much get back to it. :)
You folks may want to look at the Notification Prefs in the user Control Panel. When using the Dark theme these boxes, when hovered over, turn glaring white and the text is very very light gray... so you can't really see anything and need sunglasses to look at the boxes. I'm not kidding. I use the newest Firefox in case you need that info.
Also, please fix the image pop ups, they are not popups, they are a new same linked page so users have to use the back button to get back to the forums. Not sure why this is an issue. I guess some folks don't allow for popups? There are safe popups and then there are not safe ones.. an image file popup should be fine....
Thanks
I see the same missing image problem.
Could we have the forum theme setting uncoupled from the store theme setting? I have to use the dark theme in the store or else I get eyestrain after a while, and I'd like to use the light theme in the forums because in the dark theme some page elements (e.g. this text entry box) are GLARINGLY EYE-SEARING WHITE against the dark background.
Here is something else strange. The gear icon says I have 7 bookmarks. when I click on bookmarks, it shows 34 pages of bookmarks, all the way back to 2012 when I joined.
Sounds historical!

Yeah. I had to go out for a while. When I came back, I had to restart Firefox after a Norton update that I forced. The same thing happened to me. Tons of bookmarks, some of which are closed threads even. I'm hoping that fixes itself after being in here. But will it happen every time I have to log in again?
Dana
..."broken" images is especially bad in a forum dedicated to visual art.
I'm really concerned about challenge threads that have been running since before the changeover. One, the current RRRR Challenge, has been going since last month.
same with me.. images are missing
using latest Firefox, Chrome & Edge browsers
I block 'em all. I do not specifically allow any of those things with ad-block. I have not had any trouble logging in (well, except for the signing-in loop but that happens only sporadically). The only thing I have whitelisted is www.daz3d.com itself.
You're right, that's a lot of things going on. That's why I use ad-block. ;)
I can see images using latest Firefox
I agree with a lot of this. I've just started, as in last week, releasing the pages of a webcomic based on DAZ. I have 1 issue done, 1 in progress, 1 in script form ,another in outlin form. All in all, 2 years worth of material... and I have seriously thought about just throwing in the towel because of some of these frustrations. I have moved to Iray, and it was painful but I've got it figured out finally. Now this with the forums.
And for people making jokes about how some of us are just 'change is bad' people. No. It is not that. All change is not bad. But BAD changes are bad. This forum design is utterly repellent to me, and I will never like it. As someone said above, it wastes tons of space. It spreads useful information all over the screen that used to be compactly visible. It has converted the forums into something like a blog rather than a forum. And it flies in the face of established forum software practices used just about everywhere else (bbcode, etc). I should not have to learn a whole new style of forum browsing and software just to use the DAZ forums. It is not clear that DAZ itself is worth that kind of mental investment, when every other forum I read uses standard bbcode and standard formatting.
This reeks of 'design over function' priorities.... They made it look slick without regard to whether they were impacting functionality.
You might say, 'It is just forums,' and that would be true for some of the other sites I frequent which are all about just kvetching about comics or things like that. But the #1 reason I came HERE was to get help with DAZ Studio. And DAZ just made it that much harder (and that much more unpleasant and frustrating) to get help. I haven't actually needed any help since they changed the forum fortunately... but I definitely feel like my ability to easily access useful information is being hampered by this very frilly, flowery, dysfuncional design.
Not that anything's going to change just because a couple of us don't like it. Heck even if 99% of us didn't like it.
How can I serch topics with each key words in forum ?
yes same for me, they work, I just do the extra steps as mentioned .. . . wonder if it's a browser thing ?
Ok I could find topic , ,but it not show any image which I up-load before.

there seems only remain lost link,,
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
(1) I'd like the ability to wipe out my notifications and possibly my bookmarks so I can start over.
(2) PLEASE don't allow the current page number to be a clickable link. PLEASE.It's very confusing if you're reading backwards or several of the links have already been visited.
Please stop redirecting me. I'm sure you think it's a convenience but it's counterproductive. I"m so angry right now I could spit. For the umpteenth time I've been redirected to a place I didn't intend to be. And since I have no way of knowing WHICH PAGE I'M ON I can't get back there.
A couple of examples....
I was reading a thread and clicked on a link. When I hit the back button it took me to a page other than the one I was on. Because I didn't know where I was and didn't know where I came from I was lost and it took me clicking several times on numbers that were all red and scrolling through entire pages before I finally found the page I had been on previously. The same thing happened when I clicked on an image and got a 'page not found' so I hit the back button and I never did find the page with that image again. That sucks.
And if I click on a thread I've already visited do not assume I want to go to the end page, let me click on the last number myself.
I thought that problem of going to the last post was fixed. It never happened to me anyway. I get sent to the last post I read previously, approximately.
For the links, I would right-click and open in new tab or new window. That way, when you're done with it you can close it and go back to the tab/window you were previously browsing and you won't lose your place.
Dana
I see the same thing at http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/857880/#Comment_857880
page not found also . . . maybe something they did when they edited the post
by the way, if you want to link straight to a certain comment, just click on the time stamp under the avatar on the left, some where in this thread that was explained with pictures too
