Update to Shader Map 4, it can now generate PBR materials :- https://shadermap.com/home/

    • PBR Materials

Generate Roughness and Metalness maps. The Start screen PBR Mode automatically packs maps into RMA and RMAD formats.

I've tryed Kitra, but prefer medibang. It has a non-optimal level management

Just noticed that the cool and feature-rich (some Carrara-specific) P3do runtime/library/package-browser tool (free and pro) has been updated!

       http://www.senosoft.com/softp3do.php

Looks like a free update for the Pro version if you're current to the latest version (not sure yet).

Yes, it's free for the current Pro version. And I'm so glad that it looks like this tool is being maintained again!

According to the developer's 'news' notes, DUF file support is his current focus for the next non-maintenance release. I really like the tool for package sorting/browsing/previewing. I probably only use 10% of what it looks like it can do. With added DUF support, it'll have coverage for 95% of the 3D resource I own. Even if the next version is a payfor upgrade, I think it'll be worth the investment.

The Pro version is the ony way I know of customising the icons that you see for Carrara files, that is what I have mostly used it for. Mostly for commercial releases but you can of course use it for your own items.

I have the basic version version of P3dO, if I click on the Image tab, then go copy image I can paste the Carrara scene icon in a graphics program, don't know if there is another way.

Mainly use P3dO as a file explorer for my Carrara items.

yes but only uses first 50 frames free version though it extracts them all so you are better off using an image series

it does however extract straight from mov, mp4 etc you name it which is handy, saves a step or two, dumps images in same folder as video file.
