tinkle the ivories even if you cannot play

LightUnwrap update 2019 is out: https://sharecg.com/v/5169/view/10/Software-and-Tools/LithUnwrap-2019-Free-UV-Mapper-for-Windows
But really work?!?
@ th3Digit
LOL its like guitar hero for the piano. The technical electronic hardware solution seems to be interesting.
I think its all based on "Arpeggiator" patterns that play a chord along the piano roll.
I did a similar thing with FL Studio https://www.image-line.com/flstudio/
and a few free Plugins from http://www.dskmusic.com/
These Plugins need a host application like FL-Studio, Cubase, ect...
Had downloaded those plugins a while ago and wanted to use them some day. Now I spend the last half hour to compose a little song with the those plugins. The sound comes close to a real world instrument and for free you get a good sounding plugin with lost of options. I just had to add some minor effects on the mixer channels. I hope you enjoy the music.
I think I teached FL Studio how to play the piano, the bass and the spanish guitar solos on nylon strings. Its all based on four simple notes: C G A F playing on the Piano Roll Layer its the basic note sheet.
It would require years of training to play like this on a real instrument with your own fingers. All Arpeggiator functions on the instruments are set to play in the tone ladder of a chord called Madd9.

FLStudio DSK Free VST Plugins Arpeggiator Function
VST Plugins in use:
FL Studios Drum Mashine (not free)
I use VSThost and a number of plugins myself including an arpeggiator called RandArp
but I actually can play the piano

recently updated and now online, a must have

https://www.pbrt.org/index.html
how do you up the illumonation and light distance of a photometric light?
Looks very interesting !!!
I can play Bongo drums !!!
It should be, never tried yet
another similar tool I've been using frequently is this one:
https://shadermap.com/home/
I have the Pro version of ShaderMap and use it all the time, will try Materialise and see how they compare !!
https://renderpeople.com/free-3d-people/
some free 3D scanned and animated people here
yes they import animated and textured
just need 180 rotation on Z axis
PBR texture maker
Thanks Wendy - that looks pretty cool!
Materialize looks very useful - thanks for posting!
GPU 3D fractals
http://syntopia.github.io/Fragmentarium/
is chunky compared to Mandelbulb 3D or Mandelbulber 3D but renders in real time like a game and you can fly around them using WASD, need a nice Nvidia graphics card
Hya Wendy nice find !! Are you managing to get objs out of fragmentarium?
thanks I had a brief explore and tried to open the frag file with Meshlab but no joy
even though this person says they may have in the past? but no details on how https://realtimevfx.com/t/looking-for-3d-fractal-generator-that-can-export-obj-mesh/1025
well that I knew you couldn't as it's just editable parameters for generating the fractals
as in maths, equations etc
Mandelbulber 3D will export mesh and voxel slices if thats what you want
I do both, the latter I create obj from using Fiji image J
but they are huge
one example of a ply export, Zbrush could not even import the ply directly but meshlab could, I exported it from there as an obj
the colours are vertex and it cannot be UV mapped in anything so cannot get those out I polypainted them manually on my low rez version seen here
that loads in Carrara but would not try ther first one
the big one will load in DAZ studio but I know without bothering to try it won't in Carrara
thanks Wendy - pity I am not smart enough to harness Carrara's formulae :)
here is the lowpoly unified skin zremeshed to death object
I made a normal map using the 26million faced original in XNormal
the last image is a composite of the Meshlab screencaptures I used to paint it
and here is a better map made using Zprojection in Zbrush
I am trying to figure that out too
if you want to export fractals the best way is to export the voxel slices in Mandelbulber 3D as an image series
you can then skip all the black ones start and end and load them into virtualdub and resize and crop them and export as an image series again
(not an avi unless you want a pretty video that cannot be used for anything else)
download Fiji is image J
open image series and save as pgm
open the pgm and save that as a wavefront obj
thank you Wendy - you should be bottled as a treasure
https://fiji.sc/
add Fiji to free software that makes life easier
Almost all fractals will generate huge models if they export, nature of the beast.
I am not certain but I doubt that the formula object supports recursion which would be needed for a fractal object. I'd love to be proven wrong though!
