Yay, got it to work once I read the manual for the previous version. Textures on my test would need a lot of work but for the headshape it's pretty good.
Tried to export and it crashed again, this time it seemed to delete the figures torso, head and legs in the process. Morph loader pro said some of the data couldnt be used or something.EDIT: I think this was cause I had a geograph on. Be sure to not do that :)
I've literally tried about 50 times now, with about 30+ different pictures to get different results. I get what it is trying to do(and its limitations) but the results are always pretty much the same. I'm judging just the morphing bit, it leaves a lot to be desired.
Feels like it needs a few more control points, even if its meant to be for "casuals". And my expectations aren't super high, because I know this is mean to be a simple tool. But its very picky about pictures, even the slightest angle to the head will result in crazy picasso inspired results. Even with a perfect picture it doesn't seem to mimic the source much.
Okay, I'm having some issue with this. I think more control points would be good as many others have mentioned--as an option, not as required for every face. BUT something wierd is happening.
First attempt at simple use--Angelina Jolie, not done for quality but just to test product:
Not too bad.
But then I tried this:
Hmm.... Confused software is confused, and by Scarlett's lovely eyes no less.
What to do? I like the potential here, but I'm disappointed in the final product. This needs fixing or money needs refunding. And, yes, Virginia, the textures will need something done because the face doesn't match the default body surface. It would be nice if the dev could add something to be done for the rest of the body--or tell us how to fix if it's already able to do so.
hmm your results are way better than mine.
Support is available. Send me an email to info@abalonellc.com. I have 100% success with skype/screen exchange tech support:-)
Cannot get to function.![sad sad](http://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/sad_smile.png)
All that happens when I load the Headshop plug in is it askes for basic settings, head, lips face then click to accept then it just says "can't find the plugin" I have reinstalled a couple times and it seems all files are where they should be but just won't function.
Hmmm. Have your looked under the Help menu? (logical place to find help). Yes, there's a how to video for profile.
Pls. watch the install video or read the attached README.

I Saw this video. It is already installed. This does nothing to resolve the problem I reported.
I will re-install one more time and if still no solution obtain refund.
Refund is fine. I also offer tech support via skype/screen exchange. My skype name is lasloves
Please address the issue with the eyelashes. I find the product is going to be unusable if there is no fix for the strangely inverted eyelashes produced on some faces.
OH, okay, hold on. For some reason, although the eyelashes WERE inverted in the plugin, they appear normal in Daz. Hmm... Let me attempt a render.
Just had a skype video tech support with Paul, problem solved (and I am still 100% success rate with skype support). His problem was thatDAZ Studio was not installed correctly inside DAZ 3D/DAZStudio4 folder but all over the DAZ 3D folder. Once we collected and placed all DAZ files inside the DAZStudio4 folder, everything worked fine.
Lars, if you want to cennect via skype, I can walk you through some of the steps to get perfect result. Skyep name is lasloves
[UPDATE SOLVED] Laslo checked my setup and the problem had to do with paths. My path to Daz was Daz 3d and his install created another folder inside called DazStudio4 even though I selected the actual install folder for the program. Solution was to move all program files to the new folder /DazStudio4 and run program from that location.
Works fine. Did a quick test with a not-so-great photo but worked well. I expect better resolution images will provide for some nice results.
Thank you Laslo.![wink wink](http://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/wink_smile.png)
Okay, it's not perfect. I find the textures somewhat difficult to accept as a "one-click" solution. A LOT depends upon lighting, angle, shaders, etc., etc. I find the edge where the actual face transitions into default flesh texture too jarring. Here's what I got when I rendered the image from the model produced by the strangely inverted eyelash thingy:
Nice work, though! What was the resolution on the orginla photo? (Higher resolution images yield better fit and texture...)
Thanks. The original photo I chose was 1200x900. The one I posted before of AJ was 1048x1048. I will attempt to create something from a higher resolution base image and see what I can make. Will post back with results.
do you have to have headshop for this to work? if so i cant get headshop 10.2 at daz anymore?
About the eye-lash thingy. Eyelash works with an extra opacity map. For some reason the opacity map is not correct for Genesis 2 in OneClick, however it does not effect the output in Studio. The opacity works fine in Genesis 3.. Again, this has no bearing on the output.
No you do not need HeadShop 10.2. HeadShop OneClick is sufficient by itself - it is a DAZ plugin.
mine is asking for faceshop
will you be on around 6pm tonight?

I am in California. 6 pm West Coast? (by the way, lets communicate via info@abalonellc.com)
Okay, tried it again with higher resolution starting image. Here is an example of a quick render using a 1723 x 1740 pic of Arnold. You can see clearly the face textures around the cheek and forehead as they transition into a default flesh texture, and then you see that neither the face overall, nor the surround flesh, match the body below. Though I'm not that skilled, I assume that with some amount of work I can fix it with a variety of methods. It would be much nicer if there were a way within the plugin/utility to once-click fix the materials to match better.
I will say that I think the jaw and cheek areas do a fair job at the illusion overall, at least when viewed face-on. It may be that the forehead area simply changes too sharply to fool the eye, except at some distance.
I will see what I can do with various methods to correct the materials and post my results here.

Hello
I tried Headshop OneClick (after never obtaining results with the previous version) but it always crashes with the error messages show below. I'm following the steps in the user guide :
1. Load G3F
2. Start Headshop
3. Select Face, Lips, Head
4. Select "Add front photo" => error message : Daz model not found (01.png)
5. Select "Apply" => error message : Microsoft .NET Framework error. (02.png)
6. Headshop error message (03.png) and nothing appear in the Headshop window.
Can you provide any help ?
Thanks
It is an installation issue. Please watch the installation movie.![](http://img.youtube.com/vi/i_FQPrApSWw/0.jpg)
Observe where the HeadShop folder should be (inside c:/Program Files/DAZ 3D folder), and where the three other items go (inside c:/Program Files/DAZ 3D/DAZStudio4).
