OneClick is Windows only. We will NOT have a Mac version
Yes. Reduce the screen res and it will be all well
Have to write this.
If you will read a previous post, you will note my aprehension in purchasing, I read the posts here, noticed your attention
to all the problems, even though some had nothing to do with your product!!!
So bite the bullet and purchased it.
No problem installing, no problems using.
From the purchase to a finished result, took about 15 minutes.
Thank you for a worthwhile product, even more thank you for a thorough and educational set of tutorials,
This could serve as a example of what a product should be like.
Thank you again.
Best of luck
Just made my day![smiley smiley](http://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/regular_smile.png)
GREAT Product!!!!
Everything I had hoped for.
My wife heard me yellling and thought I was nuts.
In the past few minutes have made about three characters ( Zbrush might be put on the shelf!)
I can't move any of the autodots. The mouse cursor turns into a hand, but the dots can't be moved
Dots need to turn red before you can moive them
I have checked and double checked my installation, all appears to be exactly as the video shows with the exception of my Daz install being on drive G: Headshop started in accordance with the video, a photo has been selected from drive F: but as it loads I get an error message, 'Daz model not found'
The following error log contains a lot of references to drive D: but I have nothing related to daz, headshop, or the source photo in drive D:
I can't move any of the autodots. The mouse cursor turns into a hand, but the dots can't be moved
Ok, thank you. It's working now.
Well, everything seems to be OK : all the files are at the right place... but it doesn't work ... ;-(
I've found it will crash on some pictures and won't find a picture on other pictures so try different pictures at 1000x1000 pixels if you can.
Since the software depends on finding feature dots automatically, it does need decent resolution pictures.
LMAO pretty sure Zbrush is still better at creating characters that look good
I'm pretty sure ZBrush isn't going to be creating anything at all and a good artist will choose the SW or traditional media they like. OneClick & FaceGen is definately better and more technically accurate than most artists. That is a scientific fact of the technology. It's a similar situation taking a photograph vs painting.
That's exactly the same problem I have... and the same error message ! My install is on drive C:, although not in the default path (ie. in program files folder) and all the files seems to be correct. The pic is loaded from drive E: I didn't find the issue yet...
Does Headshop work only if DAZ Studio install path is the default one ?
The answer is yes: it looks for files in the default location, which is c:/Program Files/DAZ 3D
I was excited to see the product in the store.....then I read the responses here.
It appears that if you do not have a default install of DS, it will not work correctly. If the only way to make it work is to move your DS install to where the plugin expects to find it, the plugin needs to be fixed.
It appears that if you use a UHD (4k) monitor, you have to alter your screen resolution or it won't display correctly. This needs to be fixed.
Requiring your customers to re-arrange their installations and change their display settings to fit your product, is backwards.
I will NOT be picking this up now, as I both run on a 4k monitor, and have my install on a different drive than the default. MANY PCs are now using a SSD as a boot/OS drive, and programs/data are on other drives. And 1440p and 2160p monitors are becoming the norm. Expecting your customers to just 'do it your way' is not the way to get their business.
IF (or when) this is updated to handle non-default installation paths and dynamically build the dialogs to work with higher-resolution displays, THEN I will consider picking it up. But not before.
Thank you.
I will reinstall this week-en and will tell you the result...
I have Daz Studio installed on drive E, and HeadShop works fine. So as long as you select the correct location during install, it should work.
I don't know why it doesn't work. I will try with a default install and see if it works...
The answer is yes: it looks for files in the default location, which is c:/Program Files/DAZ 3D
I can assure you that the installer is not rocket science. To make a flat-out statement that only DAZ installers work is wrong and there are a huge number of customers that have installed it correctly. I agree that it would be better to have a DAZ installer, but it is up to DAZ to create one, which they could not do this time around. Good luck.
Ok. So I've uninstalled Daz, both the pro and public beta from G drive, deleted everything I could find related to daz from every drive except my runtime folder (which at almost 120GB is certainly not going to fit on my C drive) and have done a complete fresh install of daz (not public beta), and followed the headshop install to the letter, double checked all files and folders are in the correct place, launched daz, verified the plugin as working, loaded g2f, launched headshop, added a photo.....
Daz Model Not Found!
I thought maybe headshop is looking for the genesis 2 character in C drive, so added a Daz content folder in the C drive and installed genesis 2 starter essentials there, and hid my main content from view by renaming it and removing from the Daz directory, no change. Daz Model Still Not Found.
Hey all
Is anyone getting the errors: One or more of the files had no effect or An unexpected error while creating the morph
Both take place after clicking export and getting the successful popup from Headshot. I just got off skype their support and varified everything installed correctly and I was doing it right. So got to be some strange issue
OK, the issue is that HeadShop creates temp files at two given locations:
Location 1: Users/Username/AppData/Roaming/Abalone/HeadShopShop
Location 2: Users/Public/Public Documents/My DAZ 3D Library/Runtime/FaceShop/fs
Please check that the locations are there and that you have the temp files.
I also get the same errors of "files had no effect" and another popup saying that "there was an unexpected error" after the popup saying that Headshop was succesful. I checked the locations of the temp files as suggested, making the assumption (probably erroneously) that it is a typo in .../Abolone/HeadShopShop, and found .../Abollone/HeadShop. The other directory exists, although it is on a diferrent drive. To make sure, I created the directory structure under /Public. In the test the program used the correct location, so both temp directories exist and are being used. Still getting the error. In the previous post, which I see the picture of the popups did not post correctly, the log file states something about a problem with the number of vertices. Not sure if that is accurate or not. Anything else that I can check to help clarify either the installation or operation please let me know. I am looking forward to using this product. I am amazed at the tutorial videos and others' posts.
Thanks for a great product. Hope to get it working soon.
THose files are there but looking at the log I found
Monday, November 28, 2016 9:46:56 PM 383 Error Can't load obj model 'C:\Users\nmarg\AppData\Roaming\Abalone\HeadShop\TempProject\OBJ\hair.obj'
If I go to that location the folder OBJ is empty
Patience, will be my last post...truly.
As mentioned before, I had recently purchased two products that did not work and for which I requesteda refund.
Being stubborn, I gave one of them two whole days before throwing in the towel.
I have read some of the posts for this product ( many before buying).
Can truly feel for the people that can not get a product to work.
But to give credit where it is due ,this has been a fantastic day for me, due to this product.
I truly thank the Merchant for it and understand that my excitement might irritate someone who is wrestling with it.
But...it does work and, at least to me is truly worth the effort.
Best of luck to all
I can get the autodots to be red and blue, and the cursor changes to a hand, but I can't drag the dots. How do I get this to work? Mainly need to adjust nose tips.
