ROBKELK--ENTRY #6 this month is a picture of classic reality. Strikes me as very British despite the "foreign" beer, due to the yobbo haircut, pullover and darts board. And presumably he's watching footie on telly, judging by the rising arms and the distance between his butt and the settee. Self-portrait, Rob? And, if so, do you live in Hell?

Quite a gripping image despite its simplicity, thanks to great textures, nice lighting and the feel that you've just walked in the door on this guy. Well done!

All the links are fine and you get extra points for avoiding Renderosity altogether, which I find a healthy habit.

    ENTRY AAAAAAAAA-CHOO! (SORRY! *sniff*) AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAC-CEPTED!

We inadvertently ended up discussing comedy heroes and it so happens that I've been working on a head morph for M4 of a certain REAL LIFE character. I was thinking if it was good enough, it might make a good mini-prize this month. Well, it's not good enough, but if anyone wants a morph file or the DS3 parameter settings, just send me a PM.

Meanwhile, a favourite moment in funny ...

    COSMIC COMEDY FROM BILL MURRAY

Before "Saturday Night Live" came along, Bill Murray was a featured player on "The National Lampoon Radio Hour", which National Lampoon magazine sent out to stations weekly from November 1973 to December 1974. John Belushi was the star and ultimately the producer, and the cast also included Chevy Chase, Gilda Radner, Harold Ramis, Joe Flaherty and Christopher Guest.

They put together several albums, including "That's Not Funny, That's Sick", on which Murray played a contestant in a very quick game-show sketch called "For $25,000". He was asked to name "four famous Mickeys".

    "Uh, Mickey Mouse ..."

    "That's right."

    "Mickey Mantle ..."

    "That's two!"

    "Um, Mickey Rooney ..."

    "Keep going!"

    [Long pause.]

"You need just one more to win $25,000!"

    "Uhhhh, Mickey Way."

    "M-M-Mickey Way?"

"Yeah, you know, the candy bar -- Mickey Way!"

That's where the sketch ended, so listeners were left to conclude that Bill did NOT win the $25,000. However, according to Newsweek, 20 years later, while filming "Rushmore", Disney refused to give director Wes Anderson the $25,000 he needed to shoot a helicopter scene, so Murray, the star of the movie, handed Anderson a blank cheque to cover the costs.

Ah, good - now that we have six accepted entries, there's something for the judges to do... :-)

    Not a self-portrait, no. I'm nowhere near that good-looking... (And I'm a Canuck, not a Brit.)
