That's a tough one. A DAZ base character would probably be either one of the Girl Characters (either Girl 7, or Girl 4), Sapphire HD for Victoria 7, or FWSA Tiami for Callie 6.
Now if I could (afford to) print my own DAZ character, I would rework one (or all) of the characters below to be a 3D print.
Based on Sapphire
Based on Tiami
Based on The Girl 7
Hmmm .... I'd also like this one based on V6
...considering the cost, I would pay to have one of my own original chracters Printed, either my little troublemaker Leela or my namesake, KK, not just a generic Vicky or whomever.
That is awesome, we will definatly look into that, and screen a few more FLGS!
What's the time for getting progress updates on things? I submitted 2 figs 20 days ago, and got confirmation that they're working on them 8 days ago, but haven't gotten any questions or progress pics or stuff like that.
I ordered a male centaur (with wings) as 12 inch collectible and 7 inch single colour from a bonus I received at work... it's expected in February, I'll post images when it will arrive.
Here's the plan (rendered image)
Hey, sorry about the delay. If you DM your order, I will check on them and let you know what the status for each order.
This is going to be an excellent one, we can't wait to feature it!
Yes, I'm also very much looking forward to the final result!
By the way, I'm posting a copy of DAZ_Steve's post here in regards to commercial printing vs. gifts, for easier find: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/3231586/#Comment_3231586

The people at Game Print were good enough to send me a bunch of photos of the two superhero miniatures I've had printed:![](https://orig00.deviantart.net/0f2e/f/2018/015/e/1/2k0a3335_by_janus3003-dc04lqq.jpg)

Can't wait to receive them this week. They look awesome. Great work, GamePrint!
Quite nice. Are these miniatures the 2" beta I and and many others sent Game Print a while back?
No, they're 7" from the end-of-the-year sale.
We still have't launched Minis but are very close!!
OK, thanks.
Oh that looks really cool! I can't wait to see how it turns out. :D
Waiting with bated breath for the minis to be available. Still haven't heard back on the quote for the third one I want (caveat, I did that one via the plugin. The first two were sent via email)
Very excited!
Hey Hanabi
Thanks for following up with us. We haven't launched any prices through the plugin yet.
So that is our bad on keeping you waiting for so long. We should send out prices as soon, as we have them ready.
Thanks for being patient.

Question - Have you ever tried to paint a figure?
What challenges did you face?
I have painted wood carvings I have carved and my biggest challenges were:
1) Mixing the colors like I wanted
2) Putting the brush where I wanted to paint
3) Paint bleeding out of desired paint area
4) And finishing with a finish that kept the paint vibrant when done
5) Clean up such that materials weren't wasted too much or instruments ruined or damaged so I could still use them later
All of those are important on a small budget.
Muck for Genesis with the green skin.
Total lack of any ability to get a paintbrush anywhere near where it's supposed to be![cheeky cheeky](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/tongue_smile.png)
I painted ceramics for years. It can be a challenge to really bring out a texture (dry brushing is fantastic for this).
Getting the eyes to look realistic, sometimes, those eyes are so tiny!
Printed figures for myself using PLA and tried to paint them.
Used Tamiya and Revel model paint I knew from painting airplane models decades ago.
Challanges where, fading eyesight, shaking hands in combination with tiny brushes and maybe also lost some skills ... ;)
The results are not worth to be shown here - think I need to learn how to airbrush ... then we´ll see.
Maaany years ago, I tried painting the NCC1701D Enterprise and a Space 1999 Eagle set (admittedly all not 3D print, but regular glue-'em-together' sets from the hobbyist store), and a clay-modelled that's-supposed-to-be-a-dragon-thingy. Let's just say, the end results reinforced the fact that I am painterly (and clay-modelling) challenged.
Problems and messes encountered, for example

One more figure from my Christmas figure-purchase binge arrived, and I'm sort of confused over what I received.
The quality is fantastic, and it looks more like a collectible than the 7 inch standard figure I ordered. Only, the figure isn't 7 inch, it's roughly four inches. Which made me curious as to, how is the 7 inches calculated?
That said, here's the handy-cam photos of the beauty. The images don't do the figure justice, and all the details a really fantastic! There's the fine body hair, and the wings pattern on the back, and the facial details.![heart heart](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/heart.png)
As always, the figure arrived safely wrapped.
Even the loincloth tuned out great! He's slightly levitating, by the way, but that is what he's supposed to do - the dude is a mage, after all.![wink wink](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/wink_smile.png)
The wings tattoo is a very important detail of the character, so I'm really glad on how it turned out.
Yes... As luck would have it, I just finished painting 5 custom miniatures from Hero Forge. Note that techniques you need for smaller figures are not the same as what you'd need for larger ones. With larger figures people tend to look closely, and the detail has to be right. With miniatures, that's less of a concern, but they need more detail in terms of items scene. Trim and character features tend to be exagerated. Objects need to be thick in order to handle being played with.
I can't do eyes, but no one looks that close, and since I turned 40 I can't see very well, so I use the dip.these days.

Painting base coats, then high lights, then the dip is pretty much all I do. These are standard 2" figures with 1" square bases.
